I've played the 771ta for over a year and it is an outstanding shaft. The 771ta has a stiffer butt section than the 757, but a more active tip. I have found the shaft to have a very tight dispersion. The tip in the 771ta is not as soft as a 660tr. Hope this helps.

It is hard to beat the R510DF tour head. It's more forgiving than the 300 tour and almost as solid. Another you might want to give consideration to is the TM 580XD Tour head. It's very forgiving and much more solid feeling than the retail version.
