chris which color is nicest in real life?? and in the 001 are the grooves on the face deep? ie do u think they will have any real effect on the roll of the ball?

well i see that your currently using the 6064 axiv. this tells me that you like a lightish shaft that is a sr flex. Going on the same principal I would recommend you trying the DREV ICN Tour Light 54g sr flex. it gets great write ups. Key to this shaft is that it is very light which helps increase swing speed and hence distance but also has slightly lower torque than shafts of equal weight.....making it more stable. This is the same shaft as i have ordered in my 2nd epon only difference being mine is 56g and is s flex. I would suggest bitingthe bullet and giving it a go! :tsg_smilie_cool:

brilliant artical ben, i hve never used a long neck anser. I myself am a straight back and through putter ie the pelz approach, and i though the only suitable putter for me was a center shaft.........oooo how i have been wrong! im gonna have to try a long neck out asap lol!!!!

The read up on these shafts is unreal - so much that i have just ordered a drev icn tour light in another epon 460. When i get this driver in i will have a show down between the drev tour light vs the axiv v spec. both shafts are in the same head and loft so it will be a fair competition. aside from performance factors and the inevitable quality from a handmade japan shaft - does anyone else think these are just sexy?!!!! :tsg_smiley_yes: :tsg_smilie_cool:

wow chris whats the story with the soles on these wedges, especially the last wedge!? it looks pretty crazy.............are there any advantages to having this gring or is it all for show?

also look into the v spec shaft, as this will certainly eliminate the left side of the course without taking away your draw

this is a gorgeous new product from sriwon. srixon japan never fails to produce the quality products with outstanding feel. however something tells me it will have a very very very stuff time knocking the epons from our bags lol! :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:

can i just add that the stock drev shaft coming with the epon drivers should not at all be knocked due to the fact that it is a STOCK shaft. after discussions with chris and some research into DREV i have come to realise that Drev is a handmade japanese shaft and is top quality,. when i ordered my EPON 460 i automatically ruled out the DREV as i thought that it would - as most stock shafts are - junk! however after my research i am now going to order an EPON 460 with a Drev tour 60. when i get this through il write my review!! :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: :tsg_smilie_wink:

totally agree sites the v spec fits the bill sooooo darn good. it flat out flies. great call from chris. i am actually gonna order another 460 with the ordinary axiv for my draw driver......!!!!

my take on the 460 epon..... looks lookswise this is a 510 tp on steroids. its really really pleasing to the eyes and sits soooo square behind the ball. However the 460 cc are hidden well and looks to me much more like a 425, but the extra ccs are due to the depth of the club feel by far the most SOLID 460 head i have ever hit. the face is pure and actually feels very soft. there is no ting or ping of the head that 99.9% of the 460 heads nowadays produce. on poorly struck shots this is still soft, not harsh at all and on centre hits is like butter. distance distance this club was average, i cannot in any way complain. we played today on a waterlogged course which meant that the distance was all carry! with the axiv v spec i was more than satisfied with the carry.....cant wait to take it to a links and see how she rools! :tsg_smiley_yes: accuracy the performance out of this driver was the real seeler for me. although the feel is unique and uncanny of a 460cc head the performance was awesome! i mean the v spec axiv and epon head combo is a fairway finder! i simple cannot hit the left side of the fairway with this thing, nor am i hitting the right handside of the fairway! its a shell straight - high - low back spin - and the wind has minimal effect on it. and yes i am serious...... ps......when i took the club out of the package and swung it, i was worried i order a shaft that was toooooo weak.....however although the shaft feels weak, and kicks plenty through the impact, it actual does play to its estimated flex. it is such a stable shaft that holds the hook and helps guide the shot striaght. all i can say chris is thanks for gear!

i just got my epon types js in and have played one round thus far. i am preparing to do a review after i play a few rounds so as i get an overall feel for the clubs first! but based on todays performance i would have to say that these kick the mp32s ass....the feel so much more pure. they are the best combo out of hundreds of forgings i have tried........great combination on weight, softness, reponsiveness and crispness. Personally now that i have the new type js i would never look at the 32s again.

hey guys i currently am having excellent success with my mizuno jpx three wood. it is 15 degree with a gd tour ad m75 stiff flex. This wee gem is currently going as far as my driver - ping g5!!!!! What i want to know is - is it advisable to put the same shaft in your driver as your fw??? i cant decide whether to order the epon with this shaft or with an Axiv........with the driver i want pure DISTANCE so any advice would be appreciated. ps ss is currently 100-105, with a medium tempo. i hit high with little roll.

Reviews on this suppy are unreal. im ordering up the js and the driver! y do u say the 460 over the 415? also if i get a 9.5 and open it 1 degree then it effectively will play to 8.5 right? lastly - can this be custom ordered with an axiv???

i have a few questions for you chris..... 1. can you get this epon driver in the hi core version>??????? 2. Does the driver play true to loft? 3. can you get it totally customized ie bent to 8.5* loft 1* open? 4. CONGRATS ABOUT THE ARTICLE IN THE GOLF PUNK MAG!!!!!!
