NEW Gauge Design MB-2 Pix
Plus 1, I have probaly asked you this before, however what length 5 iron shaft do you use. The reason for the question is that my clubs are over standard length, which would add to the swing weight. The other question which you might be able to answer, is what effect over standard length has on the flex of the NS Pros. I am currently considering the x flex, over length and maybe soft stepped. This seems like a bit of a threadjack, however it all ties back in with the MB2s. There seems like there could a little friendly rivalary amongst the guys for bag of the month once everybody gets their MB2s set up  5 is played at 38'' so i play standard...meaning i did have to add the weights! however this does not effect the quality of the club in any way. still as sweet as sugar! usually playing a shaft at over standard does softenin it up a bit, which is why players that use overlength hardstep their irons. however the difference is very slight phil.

i recently got in the new gas sqbts which were suppose to take over from my battered gas1s, however although they are a super wedge i just dont like them quite as much as my gas1s! a new set of 53 and 58 will be on their way to ireland very soon! usually my moto is, if its new it will do! but on this case its not so......i had to go back to the old faithfulls. Best wedges available, full stop.

PGA Tour players Wedges and Putter SCANS!
plus1 replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Geargreat pics.....what caught my eye the most was cambells wedge...lovin the grind! nick prices putter is schweet, but i  my the one too much! ps just to side track a bit...i hit a set of nick price miura forged irons, i found these very strange as they had the majority of the headweight in the hosel. The hosel was a lot fatter than standard and had a bulge in it! These things hit the ball soooo low! pretty mad request but hey it works good for him!

10 rounds of golf with the Tourstage X-ST 15*
my xst currently has the nippon 950 steel shaft in it and i really like the combo. maybe not the longest but very accurate! i have an ozik altus on order to go into it in the hope of finding my ALL TIME favourite 3 wood........wish me luck!

GAS 1 v GAS1 SQBT
did a FULL OUT test there......results are the only difference in the shape is the sole on the sqbt is slightly wider and the leading edge is slightly more rounded. the black finish also make the sqbt look smaller however it is not! the gas1s definately rip the balls more! and definately have a much softer feel at impact. the feel of the sqbt is fairly firm. really not sure which i prefer.......i definately prefer the 53 in the gas1 but havent decided on the 58 yet! so anyone looking a 53 sqbt basically brand ne shoot me a pm lol!

RC Type-H 2
i can 100% agree....three wood is my killer club....im shocking with three wood! however after hitting the xst its given my a boost of confidence. its going in the workshop on monday to get an ozik altus in....so fingers crossed!

GAS 1 v GAS1 SQBT
both look identical shape, have exactly the same playing characteristics...ie i have both in 53 and 58.... the feel IMO is slightly firmer of the sqbt and i can really feel the grooves eating into the back of the ball, this puts warning signs in my head saying i need a new ball! the oriinal gas1 forged was a nice soft crisp feel were as this has a bit more meat to it! spin wise its hard to compare because my gas1s are so worn that i would say the grooves are dead! :surprize: however i remember getting my gas1s new and thinking the same as i do now about the sqbts....that they spin like fcuk! Because these are just brand new for me i think im having my fun with the spin, but hopefully it will calm down to a controllable level and a level that i can afford ( as 18 balls per round is expensive). Overall i can say that to me the sqbts are better now than my battered gas1s, however if you have you are considering buying one i would determine my choice on whether you like a firmish feeel(sqbt) or a softer feel (gas1). hope this helps

Gauge Japan GAS1-SQBT!

-
PRGR 320cx
Just a note guys to say i have had this 3 days now....and this thing is sooooooooooooooo easy to hit its unreal. It reminds me of my original orlimar margin face fairway wood, quite a shallow face, very easy to get up in the air, easy to work and an explosive feel off the face!!! i would rate the club 3/5 on looks, as it aint the prettiest rescue i have seen, 4/5 on trajectory, 5/5 on workability and 5/5 on feel! the only problem i can predict will be out of the thick rough in ire lol! shallow face in that deeeeeeeep stuff doesnt work well!!! :surprize:

Gauge Japan GAS1-SQBT!
just got mine through the door, and took them out on a trial. the bouce grind etc is identical to the gas1 forged which has made me soooo happy! the face on these wedges is unbelievable, it has what i would call shiny mill marks! these grooves are super super deep and i did find myself cleaning out extracts of the ball covering from the grooves! looks like these will be spinning machines!!! :surprize:
-
INFO on the OZIK??
demand will be low untill they change the price, but after hitting the shaft i think they have a great product in their hands!

For Plus1: GD W-60 feedback
no! i personally thought the diamana was quite soft also! not as soft as the w60...but still soft. if i were you i would try a regular w60 and tip it! this way you will get max feel of the r flex but will play more stable through impact! ps i have a w60 regular pulllout in my garage if you are interested! not tipped so will probably play similar flex to your current diamana!
-
For Plus1: GD W-60 feedback
hey randagios yes i am currently playing the w60. You are right about the first two points...the shaft is very soft and also has a very low kick point.....the low kick point means you can feel the shaft kick ALOT through impact, which feels great to me, however it does hit high! IMO its very very long especially if you play it at 45.25 or 45.5!!!!! But in terms of your 3rd point i personally totally disagree....i would actually say this is one of the friendliest shafts i have played, which believe me is ALOT!!!!! i have played this on days when my swing was good and bad and have never felt punished! If you are thinkin of a tour ad graphite design this would be a great shaft to start with........good luck!

Gauge Japan GAS1-SQBT!
