i am yet to hit any rombax shaft chris....when you demoed the driver shaft ..for you how did it compare to the like of the w60 or the axiv?

greaty pics! personally i feel the utility is much easier to hit, that gives a great high drop and stop action. whereas the driving iron produces a lower more penetrating flight. many people actually play both...ie driving iron as 2 iron and utility as 16 degree! :cool:

I believe that they are MP-33's. The 37's have a small cut in the muscle near the toe of the iron. Just clarifying definately mp33s! :cool:

great system for grading the club chris! :cool: the driver looks sexy, i definately would have ordered one by now ...however the thing that is putting me off is the idea that it is similar to the r7...i hate the r7 feel, i think its quite harsh....in your honest opinion is this on par with feel to the r7 or is it a happy medium between the r7 and the soft feeling viq?

hey guys i see there is an auction on a srixon 404 driver with a stiff 73 diamana ion on ebay..... any feedback would be grest in terms of performance, feel etc etc :cool:

i havent bought one! not yet anyway....i was demoing a friends. honestly i thought it was very very good, super stable and not boardy at all! it was an x flex i was hitting, but it was cpming at 260 which is more like a stiff. length was similar to the w60 gd however the dispersion was much tighter......though it was an unfair test seeing the w60 is too weak for me. worth the $$$ i still dont know , but il keep you posted

i have not tried the viq fw however if i was going on the driver id have to say it would be very very forgiving! the xst is definately more shallow than the fst, it sits to me quite like a v steel.... the fst had a very deep face which i found hard to get up off the deck, also i found it harder to make consistent contact. if it is forgiveness you are looking for i would say go for the viq, whereas if it is consistency and solid strike go xst! either way you are on a winner!!! PS the mizuno jpx gets real good reviews so dont let it escape the option list!! :cool:

no i havent hit a diamana red, i am basing my comments on the specs and info provided on the shaft! cant wait till they come out though! PS....JUST HIT AN OZIK TP-7 TOADAY! :surprize: WOW. VERY STABLE! SHAME ABOUT THE $$$$ THOUGH! :mad:

personally i would leave the diamana red for a fw and stick with the blue for the driver....better characteristics imo, however it all depends on how you swing it! another great option would be the graphite design p-6 range........but just because its new doesnt necessarily make it better for you! :cool: the txd70 will be a super performing shaft and is super rare. the stinger sold out in no time in japan, chris was advising us on them when they were available but we didnt listen.........boy was that a mistake! :mad:
