Thanks for your suggestion plus1. I went to have a look at the gauge nc1 yesterday. They're GORGEOUS. Looks worthy of putting them in a showcase actually. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a used set. The new set is way way beyond my budget. :sad: I'm still looking for a good deal on your first recommendation though (VIQ forged). Although, it's very likely that I'll be getting TS-202 by the end of the week. Bat as far as the viqs go there is a set on ebay....and there are no bids as of yet.....3 days ago i emailed the seller and he said he would sell for 750 shipped.....that still may be too much for you! if so go for the 202s!!!!

Bat honestly dude, hate to jump in on your post but seeing you are on the hunt for irons....i would seriously consider pending a few extra $$$ and getting a set of gauge nc1s! these are the :poop:! unreal feel, IMO better than the mr23s...which are suggested to be the best feeling tourstage iron....also the forgiveness rivals any on the market! get your thinking cap on! :smile1:

Pardon me for being the devil.....I was hitting the MBs very well, but couldn't resisit and bought a set of NC-1s......played a few rounds and hey I was hitting them even better!!!! Less than a month has passed, and I couldn't resist again and will commit to a set of MB-2s. Lesson: All Gauge irons are amazing, seize the opportunity. lesson taken on board.....i just order a set of the MB2S , also a set of machine nc1s and will compare both to my handmades!!!!!! cant wait guys! :love: honestly i DO believe all gauge gear is awesome......i do think it will be hard to push the handmades out of my bag!

chris the the japan tour 56 the same as the us tour 56? i love the tour 56 we get over here,.....it flies miles! also how hard is the erc ball......is it a brick lol? :surprize:

just a tip, i find to help me catching bunker shots fat....i flex my knees slightly more than normal and really get into position...then i drop my hands so that they are very low......by doing this you will get the bounce of the club truely working in your favour! this should help you make better contact and hit great shots! easy does it lol! :cool:

guys played a round yesterday at my local course and am still amazed at how many greens i hit in reg! the feel and forgiveness out of my gauge irons is truely unbelievable!.........SO i have basically just placed an order with tourspec for a set of machine made nc1s and a set of the mb2s.....just so as i can compare them to my current nc1 handmades! i think im going mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool: What do u think?

both sound funky! i havent tried either.....chris which nippon shaft would be in my one putter?

certainly has......i found for my game the ux2 didnt fit! it has quite a deep face and a low penetrating flight.....whereas what i was looking in a utility was a high drop n stop club! a position the prgr should fill well! :love:

chris when you say a top player cavity .....do you mean these are much smaller and harder to hit than the nc1s??? also are they nicer looking in real life than in the photos?

true they probably dont cpm as high as suggested ...although the 6564 i had was around 265 but felt and played stiffer! however if you definately would rather error on the stiff side then go for the 6068! :cool:

personally i would have recommended the 6064m! this way you will get excellent feel but not be too whippy.... as far as i can remember tourspecgolfer ( chris ) swings similar speed to u and used this shaft with great success! i swing around the same as you ...slightly slower on average, and i first tried the 6564 which was way too stiff! the 6060 actually worked best for me....therefore i had to swollow my pride and get an r flex....but hey it works great! the 6068 is an s flex but cpms at 280......! thats high dude :cool:

i will do phill.....the only two clubs i know are the driver and 3 wood.... my 3 wood frequencies at a higher cpm than my driver.....should this be the case? :confused:

yeah Golfsmith can...also you can send the club to NOMAD GOLF WRX and they can redo the grooves......i had one club done by them which initial seemed to be fantastic, however if i recall the grooves didnt last long! :mad:

i swing at roughly 100-105 with driver and my clubmaker recommend a cpm of around 260. honestly im not sure what flex etc this is...also i know my best mates driver swing speed is 124 and his 757 speeder cpms at 282.....

moved back to the pxs only because i had success with them.....however i still have not tried the 1150s! my pxs are 5.2...what 1150s should i try in order to get the same freq? also are the 1150s more likely to ballon? cant wait to hear your report on them dcc.....you really will be a happy chappy lol! :cool: :laugh:
