Cant wait to get them! I am currently using either scratch customs or the miura wmf03 and both have dissapointed for my current soggy irish ground! Both will play good in the firm summer months but i think these are worth a try!

chris u certainly did build them for me and the irons are set up perfect! shafts play a dream - lofts and lies are spot on and the tirn around time was unreal! thanks as for the links courses lol - you woman :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: :tsg_smiley_yes: :tsg_smilie_cool: lol! i have to say that i am comparing the feel of the viq2 with a memory of teh feel of the type x and the type j...........now i am sure that the viq feel more solid than the x but not quite as good as the j. Seeing you have all 3 sets in hand could u comment on the feel of the type j , pro 11 and the viq2?

Guys havenot had a chance to take any photos etc but i did an extensive testing session yesterday between the - g field nc1 - g field ccb - scratch ar1 - viq2 forged Simple and esy to say that they was one clear winner - for ll round playability, length, workability and forgivenes - viq2 take the award. I was very shocked when i got them through the post - they are bigger than i expected, look fantastic in the bag and fantastic from address. The feel is very close imo to the epon but probably not as good ( working from memory at this stage - so not really fair). I also thought it was extremely noticeable the amount of forgiveness offered - i put some real crappy swings on them only to watch the ball fly high and sweet! It was kinda wierd as with such swings i would normally be stirring bogey in the face. So this was just a brief update of the viq2 irons - hopefully after some proper time and play i will be able to give a full review. Thanks

In relation to irons and me playing in ireland - yes i play forged all year round! I never worry about thm getting dinged up because i never have them long enough for that to actually happen! lol. In terms of the miura they were a firm crisp feeling that was nice when hit slightly towards the heel. In terms of comparisson I would HIGHLY reccommend you to try the likes of the epon / tourstage irons from the endo factory or else Or you could even try to get get your hands on an older set of original nc1s / gauge fcbs or gauge handmades.......NOW THATS WHAT I CALL FORGING! seeing this is a tourstage thread, i dont wanna threadjack - so why dont you pm me and discuss. Believe it or not the m3 hit is FOR ME is the king of the castle! :tsg_smiley_yes: ! My long time love was a little rocket ship known as the mizuno jpx - the ball came off this face and still does faster than anything i have ever ever hit......it literally flies. However its one weakeness is that the face is very very shallow meaning i hit it very high. Hence why i tried the PRGR M3Hit - this club is equally as forgiving, equally as long and is so much more workable, i really cant imagine a 3 wood providing any better performance. It is my new saviour - and the 3 wood is usually a club i find hard to hit!

No intentions yet to try those tourstage models - although i am sure that i will lol! Dont get me wrong nick - the t3 driver u have is an awesoem club and really does shoot them like arrows......i just prefered the feel and roll that the epon head provides.

sorry it has been a long time since i have updated the ''whats in the bag''! That test was taken a good while ago. The Miura were a solid iron, but they just lacked the x factor! They were much more firm than the epon or gauge and imo didnt not match the craftsmanship. The epons are an extremely well put together set of irons, pure feeling when struck and looks are outstanding, forgiveness was so so imo but that was made up for by the pure endo feel. The gauge handmades are my personal favourites and prob always will be. the quality of the forging and the feel from these is truely IN ANOTHER LEAGUE! my problem is that i do not want to use them any more - as they are too pretty to use lol! I recently bought the g field nc1s which really did not compare in quality to the handmades - however still a greta iron. I am in the process of choosing my gamers - hence why i have sooo many irons to test - i have a funny feeling the set i will use will either be the tourstage viq2 that gives the buttery endo feel and looks unreal or else the quality fully customed scratch that are on their way. - we will have to wait and see lol.

I have to 100% agree that the v spec is probably the best shaft i have ever used. I have hit A LOT of shafts in the last number of years and for my swing characteristics and set up the Axiv V spec certainly fits the bill. It is actually sooo impressive that i want to order all my new drivers with it in! However chris keeps the HO alive in me and encourages me to experiment - all for your benefit lol - so that i can tell you guys my honest opinion. - That opinion is still that the V spec is yet to be equalled as an all round gamer. On the flip side of the coin, i also feel that the Epon is to be equalled - I think it is a truely fantastic club! In the last 6 months i have owned 3 Epons, a PRGR T3, Tourstage VIQ 1, Tourstage 435, Gauge design Proto, Nike SQ tour Issue, Tour edge exotics, Taylormade 425 tour, FT3 Tour Issue.....and the list goes on - and my findings are still that the Epon WITH ANY shaft feels and produces the most consistent results. I have it with a DREV, a normal Axiv and a V spec and all are fairway finders! If you think the v spec plays well in the T3 - get an epon head and you will be laughing! My next test is the new VIQ2 which i will put up against the epon - results will follow.

if they make a bag like the quality of the adidas / taylormade bags we arte sorted! I need one to put all my many gauge clubs in - the current model shown above imo is a bit cheap looking! I think the plastic looks is a bit cheap, hopefully the 07 is a nice leather.

i 100% trust your recommendation Chris - as I only recall once, disagreeing with you! But is it not pretty ugly? Any pics i have seen of the ut have made it appear to have A LOT of offset. I would love to hear your opinion on this! PS how would this compare to the PRGR 320 cx>? and whats is the retail price?

yeah yeah it really does sit very square. The feel is different from any 460 you have hit before and i gaurentee that you will grow to love it! i have the v spec 7072 in mine and it rocks! Using this the ball is gonna hit those firm dubai fairways and run like Mad!!!!

great call Henry - i doubt you will be disappointed! Make sure u hit it on the course and not just the range - this way you will see the benefit of the low spin and class roll out! :tsg_smiley_yes:

After much thought and many many annoying questions aimed at chris - i have decided to give the deep and the irons a try. I am carrying out a big club test. ,...... in the last week i have bought the gauge design nc1s custom fitted, gauge design ccbs custom fitted, tourstage viq 2 custom fitted and a set of custom fitted scratch irons. all the lofts and lies on the irons are the same and hopefully I find i like one of the sets lol! if not i will have to shoot myself. I will take photos of the clubmanship that both chris - Gauge and tourstage and Ari - Scratch have put into the irons. I will report on feel, forgiveness, distance and all round playability! In terms of looks i think the VIQ 2 have the heads up lol.

ari knows i have this shaft - as he sold me it! as for th egauge irons yes chas i do -0 but i refuse to sell them to u as you are a NIGHTMARE to deal with. your practise on this site so far in the BST has been apalling and if you wish to continue this debate i suggest an open forum so as other members STAY CLEAR OF YOU! ps what about that rescue that you still owe me? - i believe i have the pm quoting the 200 dollar value - if you wouldnt mind sending that payment into chris at tourspec you may save some of your dignity.

cool interesting info gocchin, have you hit these yourself? there are sooooo many irons out there at the minute that i wanna hit - in the post are another set of the nc1s, gauge ccbs, i wanna try the type x epons with different shafts and now i have seen these i think i wanna hit these also! ooooo the life of a hoe! any feedback on these puppies from any member would be greatly appreciated. Also i would be interested in hearing about their head weights - in order to choose a shaft for them!

can i just ask one question chris - the tb protos were cast right? these are forged - and you are saying that the cats version was actually softer ? those 770 look sexy!

So are these thje viqs that are in the bag then chris? what shafts are in them at the minute? and what is the deep like compared to the epon and the gft 1//?
