  1. Speaking of the type x here are some comparison pics of the type x against the gauge design handmades and the gauge design FCB's. The Type x in tehse pics are stil in their wrappers, however you can see the shape and size in relation to the 2 Gauge irons. In terms of looks, the Gauge FCBs have the heaviest heads and the Epons have the lightest, all three are eautiful irons to look at - and in fact in person the type x IMO are better looking than the Type j! The resons i choose these irons to compare to the type x is because i think they are in the same category -> ie FFPC. Forged Forgiving Players Cavities. Enjoy! :tsg_smilie_cool: PS Notice the difference in the Gold emblem on the muscle of the cavity with the pics Chris originally took in this post! Was there a recent design change chris?
  2. please send to [email protected] Thanks
  3. Ok Guys i am giving you an update on mu current bag set up. The irons in the bag are my all time favourite Gauge Design Studio Handmades, which always find their way back in! 4. My G fields felt a bit lonely or bored with the satin white headcover so a few headcovers had to COME COME to the rescue.........
  5. Just wanted to thank chris for his advice on choosing which Japan only Caddy bag to opt for. He was spot on with the quality and design of the new Adidas range. I went for the slightly smaller cart bag, to make it more portable.......It only came in Today and i really couldnt be any happier with it! You guys gotta check these out ->

Yeah chris from looking at the specs on this shaft and from previous knowledge og PRGR shafts they generally are very weak. I plan to have my club fitter whip this out and stick in either an axiv V spec 8072 or possibly a MACH LINE 80g FW shaft.....cant decide yet! ps from your experience of the club does i go high?

I thnk what he meant was 'how big' ie the sizze of teh head, not the length! It is, compared to what i am used to HUGE for a 3 wood. i have no idea how many cc's she has but i can certainly take photos compared to a driver if you wish,,,,,, ps sorry for the bad info on the duo hit - i assumed that because there was a duo hit in the pro shop that it was still available!
  8. plus1 replied to Duffer19's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
As far as i know they still do offer the duo hit Range, as Chris still has at least the 3 wd listed in the pro shop. Im sure the explanation is just that they are pushing their newer models such as the T Series Drivers and the M3 Series. I had a duo hit 3 wd a while ago and thought it is an excellent club, however decided on pulling the trigger on the newer M3 Hit 3 wd. The comparison that i immediately notice is that the M3 Hit is much larger, slightly deeper face and looks easier to hit from the tee. This in fact is a super large 3 wood in which im sure in itself could replace the older Duo Hit DRIVER lol! PRGR are always up there at the top of the technology scale! Here are some pics to see what the M3 Hit series is like....
  9. no sorry pal, i have a cleveland type j alredy. thanks for the offer though! :tsg_smilie_cool:

i have no experience with the black golds therefore i could not possibly comment. however i can say that with a 110-115 ss you could more than handle the 1150 in a x flex! This shaft should give you a more penetrating flight over the flighted rifles and due to the slight reduction in weight you should see a slight increase in distance. all in all it will have a smoother, more crisp feel with less of that ballooning you currently are getting!
  11. great comparisson! anxious to hear your testing results......although somehow i think i know who the winner will be! .............where are those epon smiley flags you mentioned?????? lol
  12. Hey guys I have two cracking drivers here for sale.... 2) Tech Van 905R 9.5* - Joe Kwoked, Rat glue in the head, D3 sw, Fitted with a Fuji Rombax PROTOTYPE 70C, stiff flex. - £200 uk pounds YES THATS RIGHT - 200 POUNNDS!!!!!!!!!!
  13. for while i was looking pics of these......but i also had no luck. However from many reports i have heard the epon type x look like the ts 202 with the same shape and sole characteristics. Only difference being the feel of the epon!
  14. yeah the look of the red really seems off putting. it is a driver that i havent tried.....personlly i much preferred the 405 plain traditionaly colour. I kinda think the all black makes her look cheap! But if it performs i could definitely get used to it! :tsg_smilie_cool: ps the epon 10.5 would go a s**t load lower than your 9.5 sq the sq would prob come out at 12* if u had it measured....
  15. Who told you that the nc1s have thin toplines??? lol Of you read through all of the reviews and posts on the NC1s you will clearly see that their hape characteristics have a block chunky topline and square toe! As i remember when i was pulling the trigger on mine this was one os the appealing aspects! Anyhow, the Epon Type J certainly have NO WHERE NEAR as thick a topline as the nc1 and when looking at the srixon look similar........ I can testify also that the R7 forged Japan only feel and perform in a different league to the new tm edition of the mbs. but each to their own
  16. you could do as chris has done previously and buy a 405 or 435 and have it refinished in complete black! I remember when he had this done it was the bees knees! it was pretty darn cool......i highly doubt TS would bring out the all black look, who knows :tsg_smilie_rolleyes:
  17. These will be Japan only, as all of the srixon japan range have been in the past. I am sure that the us market will bring out something around the same time, like in previous years ie 506 vs 505. However if you were to compare the two the japan versions would kick ass! I thought the exact same thing, however it may be one of two things, or even a combo of both- 1) the club has a higher, raised toe area than the heel, which leaves the impression that there is more of a gap between the top groove and the topline. 2) The club has a rounded sole, rather than a flatish sole, making the bottom groove, look un parallel to it. Both of these are the likely contributors to these grooves that look out of place lol! or MAYBE - this is a new japanese technology that strategically places the grooves at a funny angle o make us hit the ball a further 30 and hit more fairways lol! :tsg_smilie_rolleyes: :tsg_smilie_confused: Some how i dont think so,......... :tsg_smilie_whistle:
  18. This is so true MGB, the likes of the above players cavities IMO have every benefit of a forged blade - they are unbelievably solid and provide the sensation that of purity when struck. They are extremely workable, unlike the older players cavities that may not have been, and they offer much more forgiveness which NO MATTER how good a player you are - will come in useful at some point! The toplines on these are slightly thicker than most blades, but believe me they are in no way chunky / blocky / Big!
  19. it will be great as tsg will have there own PRO DIVISION wrx shop!!!!! :tsg_smilie_smile: these irons rock btw chris.....how many sets u got in?
  20. cant wait to hear your thoughts! Even though i have the epons and think they are an awesome stick, i have to say that the srixon look the easiest to hit and for me are the most appealing and with the r7s taking the gold for asthetics.
  21. why do u always have to do this! everytime i think i have my bag set u come up with something so pretty and sooo tempting to tease and pick my brain! pm sent.... have u hit them yet?

I love these grips!!! I have two sets 1 set of green with a red cap on my Gauge Handmades 1 set of Orange with Green on my Gauge FCB's and i am just about to order the sky blue with a navy cap for my new Epons! If you want attention, and some style about your bag these are certainly the way forward! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  24. BH to be honest with you the prices are to high for what i think that putter is worth. I is a beautiful putter but from the one i had in the past , i found it similar to the A3SP model.....it was very unforgiving and had a funny that was to my taste. I have piced up 1 balde prototype and 1 Pro Division 370g Forged L so far......i will still listen to all that yo's have! :tsg_smilie_cool:
  25. they do all look very very similar! thanks for the great pics :tsg_smilie_cool: I can only assume that the difference in the 07 460 models is the face depth. ie the p my be more like the bridgestone P where the face is much much deeper and round.??????? who knows lol
