Of all the shafts in all the world... u had to walk into my domiain.
im just thinking how many shafts ive tried over the milleniums .. has to be way more than a hundred differttn models id think.
the DIAMANA x is the most complete "semi" production shaft ive hit.
there are 2 that i rank higher in terms of prestige and wow factor,
the full boron diamana stinger form 2010 and the 7 dreamers,
both of those i put ever so slightly ahead of the X. the stinger by a whisker , the 7d............, well................................
the 7D u need to get made to ur exact specs to maximise its perfromance AND choose the head to go with it, not just grab one and hope other wise ur dicing with a lot of uncertainty by just picking one up specs unknown, well, unless u have the same swing specs and like the same head shape as the original owner then thats ok, the 2 ive hit in abundance were both customed and are absolutely totally lights out for feel and performance, looks and confidence.
One was made for Craig ( long rest his JDM soul) which by all rights i shudnt have liked BUT ........... i i almost ddint send to him it was so good !!! and the other is the one im gaming now. .
no kidding anyone , the 7d is THE best shaft ive ever hit and am likely to hit , ever period, end of chat.
but , its crayz exxy.
so
as it stands for a semi production shaft bec they were limited ,, the DIA X is the best of any of the rest with the stinger
i have a total of 14 x and stingers in my collection .
its got to the point that i just weened myself off pretty much all else., clsoe behind hese are a cpl of the quadras, the original fire express the best of them.
from the jbeam 435 to the kamui pro triangle back typhoon the X just suits .
they are not strip back shards of railroad track that dont bend. they are not worm burners , they are not super heavy.
in the words of the head of diamana shaft 2 yrs ago at the trade fair.
" Stew -sn thanks for you supprt over al he years and pls keep plying out shafts, but i think u have the the best shafts there is or will be made so dont worry about the rest of the new range they are infereior in evey way, we prob wont make more of these they are too expensive to put out to the public again, keep what u have we prob wont be making a better quuality shaft than what u have, they wont be falling out of tech favour anytime soon. both the boron and the X are the best we did"
so of course, i bought 5 more that day.
get em while u can, they prob wont be popping up agan soon.....
but the again..........
there is i now inflation........................

i go thru love , frustration with mine.
if im in a steep and deep over the top swing phase , i cant hit these.
when im in a smooth rythmical plane swing phase they are lights out and i use them all the time
.
i keep thinking to sell.. then ,not selling......... selling then not selling.............
i cant have one set of wedges, its not possible
my ones are with NS sp orange .
i wont play them when its wet or in deep grass i , find them much better for autumn.winter when its dry and hard
they clip the ball clean as a whistle , spin is off the richter they schralp balls and skin en alive. !

head shape reminds me of a cpl of older heads ive seen over the years a higher launch id expect with all that meat in the centre ?
i used to have a set of wedges that were raw faced, might have been yururi ithink... yea i think they were
nothing looks better than the chrome body with the raw face.
spin was rediculous.
good to have some pointy nosed clubs , ive got my share, dont play them that often, more for show games.

hhahahaaha... a list of endo forgings...................................... yea id like to see that as well
oh ive asked 1000 times.. oh they dont do it.
funnily enough bec of privacy.................... they dont list or tell u who their customers are.
the list we " know" from yrs ago what ever that actually means is brief but peops pls . feel free to add
yamaha,, tourstage, prgr, epon, srixon
AFAIK thast about it off the top of my head.
then a few bits and pieces form others we " kind of know about" ..
callaway got a set or two done ,
TM might have. eons ago ( but highly doubtfull )
i asked specifically about the tm tp pro 09s faldo model and they said. sorry we dont reveal our customers. with a slight tone towards maybe they did but then i thoughgt.... with the utter spam TM pummel the mkt with it, it makes no sense to do someting decent. away form the chinese pop out factories when they can pump and dump from china . so . as much as id like to say yes these were. and im SURE i read they were....... nowadays , ii highly doubt it..)
yes a list..
pls get me one as wel..

i think u are right nobs ..
a few OEMS use a quasy diamana blue a lot now as thier stock shaft.
i see them in a l few different heads but a made for variety.
i hit a buddeis mizuno driver recently with a new 65s black diamana of some kind and it was great but not the same stiffness as i was expecting form a stiff diamana blue ... was a good shaft felt fine but i did get a small case of hey is this stiff or reg ??

2010 groove rule.........
in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Gear

Ok.. i just had a discussion and found an article ( which i think is saying ) the 2010 groove rule is ONLY for expert players ,basically the USPGA and equivalent tournaments. so pre 2010 irons/ wedges, (especially wedges) are ok for us non experts to play in general and in club competitions still , now and add inifinitum.
Correct me if im wrong BUT the general thinking and consensus , certianly i was guilty of was that those old clubs are /were illegal from 2010 .........
it seems they are NOT.............. they are playable by normal golfers now
"The USGA hasn’t been elusive about its goal – to make it more important for Tour players to hit the ball in the fairway. For the rest of us, this is really a non-issue as far as whether or not your wedges can continue to be used.
If you are a professional golfer on one of the top tours, or if you plan to try to qualify for one of the three Open Championships, you’ll probably need new conforming wedges by Jan. 1, 2010.
If you plan to qualify for any other USGA championship, you’ll need new conforming wedges by 2014. This might include the top amateur events in the nation as well.
If you don’t play those specific events, you are good to go until at least 2024 "
can anyone elborate on this for IRONS pls , i presume its the same ?
