***** MY new driver builds THREAD ******
been a while..... been using what i got. which makes some sense. so what about this............ i wasnt 100% sold on ridding the epon zero. and i wasnt 100% sold on flogging the diamana X 60 s shaft either. if i can handle the stinger in stiff, the nthis one i can def handle so, what better way to meet and greet than by gettingthe 60s diamana X in the epon zero head JUST in time for summer in sydney. 45 inch not sure of specs but it come in at d2 nad prob 318 gram. a little light but that im thinking will amke for some increased head speed nad some long ball lama........................ breaking with tradition here going lighter adn softer , but hey why not. will be ready for sydney this weekend detail on it later... part 2........... ryoma 9.5* head (d-1). diaman stinger 70X............ the original combo i found when i discoverd this amazing driver. 45.25 d2 321 is gram. dont need to think wht this will be like i already know it. just the extra 1/2 inch overmy normal build migh make it interesting. the flex not an issue in this head. high straight and handsome is my guess..., results next week folks.

winter drivers = boron shafts.
well the crazy is certianly nice to play,.its a nice feeling shaft , it loads and unleashes vey nicely with a muted sling . and its . comporably very soft. very high and for the most part pretty straight . and long. the combo with the yamaha tour head works well the diaman in comaprison is tigher stiffer and more pingy .., they are similar but u can feel the diamanans addded taughtness. the crayz is prob the nicer playing but the diamana is prob ...."the gunslinger"

winter drivers = boron shafts.
just for somethign differnt i took my diamana stigner 70x shafted maruman conductor fine straight 10.5* 1, 1/2 *closed driver out yesterday with my yamaha tour 9* crazy boron to game both on same day . 9 holes each driver. in a match its perfect to compare and contrast playing characteristics. with tourstage x-01 z balls.. the brand new ones in fluro yellow so we cud find the damn things! they are great balls.. great balls buti more on them later.. the yamaha 9* craZy boron played much higher than i expected. and felt amazingly good n the cold. the temp. didnt get above 5* c and there was snow all over the course so. it was real winter stuff... distance obviously wasnt going to be good but i got a cpl out around 280 which i thought was great and it was plenty more than my partners . no where near enough to get anywhere close to the par 5s tho. way short.. the 9 and pw got a solid work out yesterday as did the 4 and 5 irons! the yamaha launch was immediatly high but the arc was low it was about 75*% carry which yesterday was ok bec the ground was pretty hard and on the non sodden fairway i got a bit of roll. the the guys hit much lower and got a lot of roll. i was pretty surprised by the ball flight i thought it was going to be much lower but it wasnt it was a very nice surprise. yesterday. and i mthinking this might go well in theheat back in oz,.... the x flex in the crazy was no where near as taught as the x flex diamana.. no where near! i def do not think the x -flex i nthe crazy shud be labled x .. bec. comapred to the exact material diamana shaft.............. it isnt. its prob more like a hard stiff. any way it was very nice to play in the cold ......... easy to hit on a tour head . the big surprsie tho was the maruman conductor old man chopper driver head..! firstly the shaft was way tighter than the diamana noticeably stiffer. laucnh as u cud imagine was prettty sky high. distance was comporably fantastic with this... super high shot driver.. and my consitacey was brilliant .didnt loose one drive with this club , a cpl i still somehow manged to block , but nothing was off the reservation , far from it . endge of fairway , the rest straight down the pipes didnt have to try and kill the ball either. just swung within my self in the cold , ended up going hey very nice...!!! so, im happy with this set up, so much so that im keeping it and i doubt ill use anything else if its not windy. in winter kinda not sure it will be great in the wind. but on still days like yesterday it was fantastic. huge surprise. wont be for everyone tho as this head might not suit guys tastes, the shape is very differnt , but ilove it . large oval with a rounded ball circle pattern to frame the ball.. feel was lovely . forgiveness was incredible . all round top little driver. if ur loking for somthing differnt and EXTREMELY forgiving.. this is RIGHT up there that ive used... seriouslyright up there. adn as far as i know the quality of mateials is very very high.....

Yamaha 2013 Tour Model and Inpres Lineup Info - Important
2013 TOUR iron review....................... Well........... Well to be honest with yall......... my First thoughts were damn not exactly what i was expecting to see. Nothing looked overly interesting. Just another blade..........., at first glance............., my adrenalin ran low. the Sole is long and thick.(for a blade), about the same length as the yonex ezone which i was hitting side by side with this yamah with the same shaft unfortunatly only dgx200 at 37.5 inch which is the stock offering ,but beggars cant be choosers. i thought the Toe section of the sole is wide, and the heel part thin. Same basic concept as their previous tour models.. but longer and skinnier all over. face milling is like the 2012 quite extreme same pattern ,its unbeleiveably soft to hit , yet.. it still allows for good working..somehow! The head at address is delicious to look at it looks smaller than it is . like the yonex does but thicker and with more substance. the Top line is thin to mid thin not tiny like ezone and not as thick as the personal. I had a good seession hit about 50 balls with the 7 iron. So got a decent feel for its swing characteisitcs, with stock dgs200 which. Didn't feel at all bad so that says something about how good the head is ! The impact.......... well its very "full" its much fuller than the ezone not as full as the previous tour models nor the personals but it is a balde so that's understandable. But against the other clubs I was hitting against... the srixon 905, the miura cb1007 and the yonex ezone it was a more fulfilling reward for centered shots. The srixon 905 was the softest to hit by a way its like its made of sticky metal... too soft for my taste. But thast a heck of a blade in I liked that srixon..., the Weight distribution of the yamaha felt slightly toe heavy compared to the personals which seem dead neutral balance having this slight toe tip ( my make up descritpion) would make it harder to turn over snap hook, which..... is what I didn't mange to do in 50 ish hits. so im onto soething here! Its sits perfectly at address, i dont have to fight and fidgit like i do with a few other blades, like the TS 905s..., the slightest of slight off set in the scoring irons is barely noticeable., well its not really , Not that ud notice unless r loking for it , its no where near as pronounced as the yonex nor the miura. but More than the srixon. I liked the way it sat i liked the way it felt when stuck. I liked he way it looks. The busy wording on the back is unnoticeable In the flesh its just a bland no nonsense handsome looking blade like it shud be . I was imagining what they look like in my bag. And i think they will just blend in . like a blade SHUD do. I think i understand how they claim to be able to blend blade performance with cavity forgiveness. It's the blend of the size of the blade and the milling on the face. The milling "mushs" up the feeling at impact but you still get that lovely thump that Yamaha is famous (in my mind ) for. the sole weighting placement is as well pretty important here. If u look at it straight away u go WOW that aint a blade sole and at impact u can feel in the swing it aint as dynamic as the normal blades, it sems to keep on a tighter arc than blades do. thats hrad to describe until u swing lots of baldes and try and imagine swing plane , the weighting seems to be very nicely balcanced in the swing , i tink thats what im trying to say.. i must admit , i was so excited by yamah blade thoughts i was expecting something really revolutionary like the personals and INITIALLY I was disappointed.. but after hitting quite a lot and having a good cpl of days thinking after a good few nights sleep, i think im very excited to get these, they WONT be the clubs for hitting off cement fairways like I though they wpould be.. i think they will be fantabulous for pretty much all conditions.. they are defiantly (my wording here) "an aggressive hybrid blade " an hard core all rounder.! similar in playability to to the aftou BUT Not like it.. much more dynamic than those! kinda same vein tho, easy to play blades without being super agreessive. a la miura TB or tourstge 905 The PW is an interesting look. Not going to be everyiones cup o tea here i mafraid ! it looks like its made to shoot lights out, but with forgiveness. its nice and edgey on sole but somfy and high on the face like the miura mb5002. the PW looks like it can get in deep and make balls sing. but provides the hitter with a measure of confort that they dont have to be tiger to get it close. Unlike the personals which looked so much more startling on first sight in real life than piccys first did. the yamaha AT FISRT glance in the flesh didint make me go wowsah! Iwas muted in my appreciation of them , slightyl let down , then after a good work out with them I was . ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh yea. These gonna do very nicely indeed thank you very much ...........! very very nicely indeed.. these WILL be replacing all blades ot go to austlaiala next weekend with the personals...! and i havnt even got them yet nor swppaed out the shafts!!! bring on the links.. i got links busters!
