  1. the bags are preposterus. u wanna see lairy? the look like the up market head covers and they have one in leather which is about $8000 ........................, thought that might be a tadover the top
  2. Last friday, i looked disconsolately at my stash and i decided that i have far far too many irons sets that i leave idle ,so i packed a bag and headed down the beach. couldnt choose which set to play so this got the nod... 2i---miura 5002 PX 6.0 3i---fourteen tc-1000--NS sp blue S 4i---zone sprout proto -ns1050x 5i----yamaha tour 2008- NS ora S 6i---yamaha tour 2011--NS ora x 7i---yamaha tour 2010-- Ns proto 2 f15x 8i---miuraism sb-01---ks tour 120 9i---kyoei v muscle- Ns proto DP pw--tourstage 901--dgs200 FINALLy i had the oportunity to see how each club felt in a match agaisnt each other, and the diffence is absolutely enormous. all these clubs ilove but i realised i like certain shafts better than others. ive spent ages trying to match the heads with the best shafts, and a far as ive found these are pretty much it, aprt form the tourstage 901 pw which i havnt got around to yet. and the 2f15 in the yamaha 2010 which i think is prob just a bit too strong for my liking, cant deny how good they are , but i like a softer feel and these are super tingy. played pretty well for the most and chopping and changing between differnt lofts lies and soles does get a bit "gulp". not sure if ill do this every weekend, but for a one off it was a great time. i do have some pretty good iron sets to play around with, theres one glaring omission that i might just have to reconsile soon , and it will take every ounce of self restraint , (a comoodity that i have in 0 supply) to stop myself. was a fun experiment. btw all these irons absolutely rock.

did i just read that right? someone said Sp were pants? im speechless. that guy shouldnt be allowed to sell clubs, what a moron. im just putting my spare set of sst pured ones in a set of new irons , that were made for eachother. cant wait. maybe ill send moron guy the 7 iron to try out.
  4. i use the iomic x-evolution and perfect pro cord on absolutely everything . in the wet the iomics are great. the iomics are slightly thicker and shorter , the perfect pro longer and thinner. i have a set of those leather gripmasters , but i think they are too thick. sticky as hell. but they are def a thicker grip, not sure what to put them on

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my 2 all time favs irons. the aftours should only be allowed to be sold with NS sp blue in them. IMO i had them with the kbs tours monster high balls i discoverd . great feel, but oh so high. i had them with soft stepped x orange i nthe lower lofted irons and soft stpped blues i nthe scoreres , which was a great idea for my mate, he loved t at idea so much he did it wit hhis miuraisms and thast where hes eneded his hoing days but for me.., agn i got them going just a bit too high. ah if only id gone x flex to start!! as per my discussion this morn. these af tours sit dead smack i n the middle of blade and cavity if iwas to have ONLY ONE SET of irons it would be these ,they play like blades if u need them, and soft cavs if uwantthose. they are the perfect sinlge set of irons IMO however........................, being the dirty rotten hoooooooooooo that i am one set isnt enough , so i found these sitting idle for abso0lutely no reason what so ever. they are great. but the super blades of miura and kyoei got all the game time then i found yammy tours thnks to bdog. these do a similar job, to the af tours but on the cavity style look, rather than the blade stlye look. neither of these irons are my most accurate or honed in, but for getting on the short green stuff i found both incredible they are both endo forged so u know they are mustard . if u like cavity muscles style best then go the yammy tours hands down(over the epon 302, just) if u like the blade style then the af tours, simplicity exemplified.

  8. not 100% but i have a feeling i saw one under 9* i have one in 9* and thats a worm burner! its either the 435 or the 450 im ny book speak to T only bec u hit the thing so hard the 425 wount suit nor will the 460 thats what i def DO know. id think ull struggle to beat the 435 actually. and get the longest yard shaft of crayz 80 ls II , everything esle in this head has been a big down that ive tried. stinger didnt work, that felt terrible actually, the gd p9003x actually does work well, , but its still kinda muted. the longest yard or 8o ls 2 .

rob u might want to ask about the 450, if i rem. correctly the crazy guys told me this was thier lowest spinning head. T will give u better details of it but it might be a good idea. and its designed by george takei which i dont think is jbeam(?). feel wise and performance wise it might be right up- ur strasse. i dont think its as low as the 435 but with yr SS u migh need that extra lowness. it feels a darn side better, miles better!
  10. i have the 425 tour 435 435 II 450 and 460 the 460 is a giant of a head ,its high wide and handsome , alomost ttrianlge stlye , which i guess is how it gets in the air easier. and aesthetically wise.., in the final for the best looking head ever made. (IMO) out ofthe middle it delivers a great feeling long high shot. wouldnt say this is easy to move about , its more for just connecting with the ball and letting the club do the work for you. feeling wise theres not much better extremely lively. makes the golf ball look like a tiny ball bearing at address the 450 is a more elongated /rounded style, slightly fuller head. with the trade mark rounded square face at adddress. its longer in body than all the others , and i like it for clobbering the ball , agn not much chance of this thing going anywhere but straight or right. well ive certianly never had it left what so ever i can aim dead ob left and itll find its way back to the right somehow. the feel is more live than the 425 and 435 but less than the 460. good for cloberers of the ball, maybe the best they make. 435 II ive done a report onth is cpl of days ago 435 lots of dialogue laready here. 425 tour i think might need a bit more chat. i like it a lot others dont. the 435 and 425 tour dont have a nice feel IMO thye are muted and dull. i think the ball aint going anywhere when nactually its howling like werewolf way out into the green green pastures. it just doenst feel like it is bec its muted. theres no PIONG "yea i got that one...!" its just thud," hmmph." the 425 is VERY workable , i find this a great head to play when i need to hit high draws or stinging cuts on a cpl of tracks i play in tokyo. id game this club before most when i want o move the thng around a bit. and , with the crazy 80 shaft oh boy its just lovely, + its NOT a low scuttler. my one gets high no probs at all. perfect mix of carry and roll out. this is my fav head of the crazy line up. no nonsense. super solid driver head.

ha..., im sure theres a cpl of homes for them. the hting is im rethinkiing a lot now i hit hte 60s better than the 70 s and the 70x well i nthis head i ddi, i nthe epon 101 i ahd t he same great results. but in the ryoma i couldnt feel t he head on my back swing and kept missint the screws. doesnt happen with the GD p9003x. so u never know i might just let that one out of the stable ., wel l lconsidering the preospterous amount of top enders i have. it might just suit someone better than i.

played this driver against the crazy 460/ stinger 70 s and the crazy 450 /crazy 50 7.7 gamed 3 drivers in a bit of hit and giggle weekend 27 both days cart golf yesterday last 9 for the coin the driver i chose was...the conductor.. too whippy? not in the slightest too light .. didnt feel like it one iota just hit the ball low , not really moving around. distance was terrific. i def felt this i hsd more control with this one than the other two, i think the crazy was longer when i killed it , with a much higher flight, and a lot more electric feel in the hands. the maruman feels like a thumping driver with lots of weight behind the ball. the crazy was lowest considerably and got a ton of roll out, the crazy shaft felt the straightest with the least snap. the stinger is a much nicer feel and i think its got a weee bit more snap in it. the miss hit with the maruman were miles better than the other two, miles better and the slice-matrons i hit were dead with the crazy 4460 werent too bad they blocked very hgh right and lost a ton of distance, with the 450 they kinda flew right and sliced, withthe marumana they more like blocked right, much better than the other two when i killed the 460 tho oh brother, where for art thou..f..! if ur after a driver thats solid, low and plenty of oomph that doesnt look huge at address then this has to be on the list ill play it and play it a lot , esp after how straight i hit it, its one of the best for my swing to keep it on the short stuff, into the wind ate it up.
  13. those la bomba shafts are the nuts, they look sensational.
  14. T what about the labomba white shafts, can u get hold of those?
  15. T what about the labomba white shafts, can u get hold of those?
  16. ok here goes the new one looks a lot better , the materials may be differnt to the old one , to the eye they certialy look to be. the shape is prerrty much the same, mabe a little smaller over all, it looks to be. the palcement of the weights under the head are totaly differnt. the face looks the same at address tho that rounded square look that is very jbeam is the same as the old one. i shafted it with the illima 70 x . this head is notorious for low balls, i mean loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. so i figuered a higher launching shaft might be a good idea to start. yea it was ok, the old head is very muted, the only shaft that felt any good with this head IMO was the original tj46 longest yard. it was miles better than everything else ive tried. dumb assss of me to sell it ,but it was too long at 46 inch and bec its so light trimming down wouldnt have been a good idea. the illima felt pretty good in this head ,def got the ball i n the air easier and didnt really move laterally too much the flight was ok, if anything a slight draw bias. it wasnt high nor low , it was pretty mid really. th distance i got was great form the screws., this is a distance driver if ever ive hit one, out of the screws its just massive. miss**ts were pretty good as well, as good as ryoma?? hmmmmmm not sure about that , but def NOT a huge loss of distance that i saw, ( iwas hiting on a 280 yard range ) the solidness and shape is prob to thank for that its like looking at hitting a ball with a brick the feel is still a bit muted, but no where near as pronounced as the older version, there was a noticebale crispness to it on centered shots. again its not a driver to move about like johhny travs hips , its still def for the guy that wants to launch the absolute bejesus out of balls prince fielder with this in his hands would be a poster boy IMO 'if ulike a very square looking driver head then ull love this , and if uwant to just uttely clobber balls, theres not much better, prob nothing . aesthetically its a defintie improvement on the older one . sight and sound for sure , and it def felt crisper. but i didnt really notice any real differnce in length or flight. the old one is a pretty darn good driver head! T can chip in here with the actual testing specs and what crazy put out , ihavnt bothered to read what theysaid abt it, but yes id have spot for it in my stable. dont know yet if id buy it to repalce my current one....... but if u want this kind of head well theres not much out there ive hit thats in its class.
  17. i thought i already did this somewhere..,

    thtas fantastic info, cheers chris
  19. just re associated my self with this litttle beauty tonight. 17* 3 wood new model i was at my clubbuilders pulling apart thousands of perfectly good pieces, yet again and he suggested i put the GD p9903x in this head, i was going to put the matrix f7m2 ltd in it but assured me this was the best choice. used it tonight at the range and he was spot on, the extra weight 10 grams or so made a monumental differnce to this club, there was none of my old swinging over the top of it, i got plenty out of the screws, high soaring thumps. the par 5s are going to be well in range now and with a high dropping ball not a low worm burner. the more i hit this shaft the better i like it. ive just discovered i need a much heavier club to swing more consistantly nad the p9 is just that shaft, im thinking the crazy sigma is the other thats going to get redone somewhere very soon ive tried juts about every top ender in the egg and so far tonights combo was the most consistant, bec of the extra weight might be hard to get this out of my bag..! so many club........................ so little time.
  20. in the d1 v spec. i think the best shafts ive hit in it are the GDp9003x and the crazy 80 ls noir , thast not the longest set up but im finding its the most consistant fairway finder. the new one i might actually put the sigma 50 7.7 into it for a bit of extra thump!

thast a beaut driver u got there. its high launching and one of the all time easiest heads to hit i that ive certianly ever palyed. i used that exact head in a comp here last yr at old orchard which plays 7100 yards and i hit 13-14 fws with it . distance not a rpob. feel terrific. looks perfect. my buddy still plays this head with the 2010 shingo spec shaft and kills it was shingos actual driver. . my mates goit 5 onoff drivers this head is his fav, and most consistant by a mile. u will be splitting the short stuff more than u hope. good selection.
