  1. ok here goes the new one looks a lot better , the materials may be differnt to the old one , to the eye they certialy look to be. the shape is prerrty much the same, mabe a little smaller over all, it looks to be. the palcement of the weights under the head are totaly differnt. the face looks the same at address tho that rounded square look that is very jbeam is the same as the old one. i shafted it with the illima 70 x . this head is notorious for low balls, i mean loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. so i figuered a higher launching shaft might be a good idea to start. yea it was ok, the old head is very muted, the only shaft that felt any good with this head IMO was the original tj46 longest yard. it was miles better than everything else ive tried. dumb assss of me to sell it ,but it was too long at 46 inch and bec its so light trimming down wouldnt have been a good idea. the illima felt pretty good in this head ,def got the ball i n the air easier and didnt really move laterally too much the flight was ok, if anything a slight draw bias. it wasnt high nor low , it was pretty mid really. th distance i got was great form the screws., this is a distance driver if ever ive hit one, out of the screws its just massive. miss**ts were pretty good as well, as good as ryoma?? hmmmmmm not sure about that , but def NOT a huge loss of distance that i saw, ( iwas hiting on a 280 yard range ) the solidness and shape is prob to thank for that its like looking at hitting a ball with a brick the feel is still a bit muted, but no where near as pronounced as the older version, there was a noticebale crispness to it on centered shots. again its not a driver to move about like johhny travs hips , its still def for the guy that wants to launch the absolute bejesus out of balls prince fielder with this in his hands would be a poster boy IMO 'if ulike a very square looking driver head then ull love this , and if uwant to just uttely clobber balls, theres not much better, prob nothing . aesthetically its a defintie improvement on the older one . sight and sound for sure , and it def felt crisper. but i didnt really notice any real differnce in length or flight. the old one is a pretty darn good driver head! T can chip in here with the actual testing specs and what crazy put out , ihavnt bothered to read what theysaid abt it, but yes id have spot for it in my stable. dont know yet if id buy it to repalce my current one....... but if u want this kind of head well theres not much out there ive hit thats in its class.
  2. thtas fantastic info, cheers chris
  3. just re associated my self with this litttle beauty tonight. 17* 3 wood new model i was at my clubbuilders pulling apart thousands of perfectly good pieces, yet again and he suggested i put the GD p9903x in this head, i was going to put the matrix f7m2 ltd in it but assured me this was the best choice. used it tonight at the range and he was spot on, the extra weight 10 grams or so made a monumental differnce to this club, there was none of my old swinging over the top of it, i got plenty out of the screws, high soaring thumps. the par 5s are going to be well in range now and with a high dropping ball not a low worm burner. the more i hit this shaft the better i like it. ive just discovered i need a much heavier club to swing more consistantly nad the p9 is just that shaft, im thinking the crazy sigma is the other thats going to get redone somewhere very soon ive tried juts about every top ender in the egg and so far tonights combo was the most consistant, bec of the extra weight might be hard to get this out of my bag..! so many club........................ so little time.
  4. in the d1 v spec. i think the best shafts ive hit in it are the GDp9003x and the crazy 80 ls noir , thast not the longest set up but im finding its the most consistant fairway finder. the new one i might actually put the sigma 50 7.7 into it for a bit of extra thump!
  5. thast a beaut driver u got there. its high launching and one of the all time easiest heads to hit i that ive certianly ever palyed. i used that exact head in a comp here last yr at old orchard which plays 7100 yards and i hit 13-14 fws with it . distance not a rpob. feel terrific. looks perfect. my buddy still plays this head with the 2010 shingo spec shaft and kills it was shingos actual driver. . my mates goit 5 onoff drivers this head is his fav, and most consistant by a mile. u will be splitting the short stuff more than u hope. good selection.
  6. it had out of stock on the site when i clikced on it. at that price i wouuld have hoovered it
  7. That site doesnt have them and most def not for that price theres ly a cplnew ones left out there at 84000 used they are extremely rare they come up only every so often.
  8. But........, oishi sreriously the cray line is every bit as good prob better but when u middlle a stinger full tilt whoa dragon whoooooooooooooooooa dragon ull inderstand its pretty tasty
  9. The oras are rhe most sensative shafts ive hit and they are perfect but so are the monaco idi had 2. Sets id stick to the ora and these
  10. yes exactly.! i have an epon 302 7 iron that i shafted up with this head. just to play around with (bec i just cant escape that i love the 302,) just cant paly it, i had it flattened 1.5 * and it made a great improvement tho, all is not lost. if guys want to try this out im happy to pass it around as long as u put a stamp o nthe shaft as to where it goes and it comes home in a yr . itsa real soft combo.!
  11. http://www.shimadagolf.com/product/ks_tour.html these guys
  12. Of the retail shafts the ks tour 120 def. get my vote over the ns Sp blue just bec fhey are bit more friemdly and a bit more medium all round played them in all cinditions and never once wondered or wanted for anything different traj and flight is mid the feel is good witjout being anyting special nor harsh u dont notice them which i think is perfect from links in massive m wind to hid rokyo in augusr when the only breath is ur own these play really well helps that they look really good as well yea overall these my tops
  13. Shafted up my 6 iron yamaha 2006 tour on thurs and took this to the game yesterday to direct compare with the ns ora x flex the monaco was the stiff shaft not x than the lord i chose these bec they are easily strong enough for most folk and for me thet were perfect. The flight is low a lot lower that the ns but its got a kick in the tail the ball shoots low straight then at its apex it kind of kicks up not dissimilar to the ns orange but in a much better way its not a dramatic kick the balll just looks like it gets backspin170 yards from whereu hit it the result of this is the ball drops dead i mean just sits still its like u walked out and putthe ball on the ground personallly i absolutely loved it. ill tellu right nownthese are going sftriaght into the rest of the set to be used as a cavity set the tt harshness wasnt nearly as aparent inthese putting that down to stiff flexnot x x. Ithink wont suit mant peops at all the feel is similar to the ns blue i felt i can go hard as ilike not a worry these are laterally challenged and like derek zoolander def NOT an ambi turner. The look of them is amazing light bronzed chrome in a steel head they look absolutely mustard and with an orange iomic x evolution grip these are just so money ill wai till i hit some more with them to see go they will go in low launching heads for sure. with the endo forged yammys they were an absolute delight i loved them i don t think wind nor rain will detract from the way these . the flight in higher launching heads like the yams was perfect i jsut loved it ,my mate whos not as strong as I didnt like them as much thought them boardy but i hit 50 balls with it and i dont think so one bit and i absolutely hate x100s and dg200s they are planks of golfing spam, these are the direct opposite. If ur after a set of different shafts id jump on these as there aint a lot out there and seeing as im a total jdm ho this is a huge surprise a pleasant surprise two thumbs up to tt for coming out with something that are joy to hit and perform like they do long may in continue and pressure everyone to make better and better irons shafts these will get played a bit make no mistake .
  14. Yep thats what i was lookimg for as well def a set coming ny way soon
  15. i used to like the low piercing steel shats like the ns sp blues, still do i spose, but i got my mits on a cpl of sets of NS protos the ora and the f215s, and everything has changed. they launch high but not in a back spin way , they go straight up and just soar. and fall dead on the greens. i can not go back to the other ball flight any more even in hawaii wehn it was really blowy every day these just ruled. they hit the greens that are like cement and stick. the dispersion is fantiastically straight very hard to move about laterally they were paul caseys actual shafts. ( or so im assured) and he gives it a bit of a nudge . lord knows what hes gone to now if he pulled these! they were the precursor to the ns 1150 tours and all who've hit those pretty much havnt bad word to say about em. ive just picked up a set of True temper "monaco" shafts the ones darren clarke used to win the open with i have NO idea what to expect with those, but ilike the fact he smokes a stogie and guzzles guinness, so taking that into accoutn.............. im backing the shafts will suit me. they are going into my yamaha(yep u guessed it) 2006 tours
  16. Lonfg hour doing. Something ive been doing for a long long time plus every fricken manifestation o everythimg jdm is no more than3 mins from my house it like leaving a match packet next to a pyro
  17. The yonex got em huh being as yr the only guy i know ro have hit both of these im waiting baitrd breath for some impressions after u get to know them both a little better those yonex are the blades ive been eyeing off for7months but stil aint been able to find a demo anywhere. what do unreckon tHe shafts are closest to in feel flight performance mire like DG. Or higher more flighty like ns im sure these have my name on them eventually but inwhat thats the question
  18. yea i remeber hitting one of them but not sure of which one it was , and i remember liking it a lot even with the stockshaft. lemme tell ya withte diamana in it its fantastic, even the 60s prob just on the cusp oftoo whippy bt the blals ihit were really good.consistantlty down the middle with a draw. cant knock that. yes if u find one lying around id def give it a whirl , both of us really enjoyed hitting it
  19. my good buddy joey the fish is after a set of 502s if anyone islooking at parting with a set . pls let me know shafts preferd stiff shaft, def not x nor regular flex anyway if thats an issue we can discuss cheers chaps.
  20. my mate juts bought a set of the 2010 bales recently, i hit them yesterday very nice indeed. they are alittle differnt to my kyoeis, differnt grind, very solid blade indeed. well worth looking at if ur a blade runner. they are pretty darn soft as well ,shafted with kbs tour. very knife like
  21. picked up this with a diamana proto stinger 60 s yesteday, took it out to range at a course, proper balls proper conditions. played it against a callway ft 9 tour authentic --matrix tp6hd myself and playing partner hit about 30 ish balls with each driver. was a bit shocked by how much "better " the maruman was in comparison to the uber callway club fisrtly the callaway was short, very short , very low, dead feeling. and the ultimate let down in drivers iver hit. id say i t was 20 ish ayrds shorter then the maruman. the maruman is small compact 460 cc with a big face , not dissimilar to the cally , the look isnt that diffferenrt. the face to look at ata ddress has a cirlce target from the milling lines, (love that look!) its an elongated round face like the ryoma but much larger deep rounded body in 9.5* that delivers a veyr solid thump on a mid trajectory that also gets a lot of roll. its a beautiful looking head framing tghe ball, big face, but not like the (crazy 460, more like the epon 101) looks like it has a slight heel tilt to instill an ever so closed to flat look and a draw bias in yr mind. needles to say, i hit decent draws with it all arvo. i was looking at gettign a lighte drive all round , just to give me a differnt take o nthe 330gram monsters ive been building recently. this just popped up and i thought why not. why not indeed. i will be gaming this next weekend. very impressed with it did exactly what i wanted this type of driver to do, and i found it a lot more versatile than all my current drivers except the epon 101, which juts keeps gettign better and better. Tario whast the scoop o n this thing ,any goss on it out there?
  22. +1 BUT if they aint available........, ns sp blue for u mr D hard stepped X
  23. its really low spin and low launch. very hard to work the ball its very long. one of the longest ive hit lots of roll. ur not going to hit effortless soring bombs withte 450, but u wll with the 460 oh yes indeed uwill. the450 sets up prertty well as well at address its a bit more rounded than the 435, looks a bit more user friendly than the 435 as well. ill play this driver in big wind no probs. of with a slightyl lower lighter shaft .
