  1. I just ordered the Royal Collection 18* UT (same club as the TRC UT, but U.S. lofts) ....so the logical progression would be to go with the 15*. _______ EDIT: After tossing and turning, I ended up ordering the RC JP104FH 21* (same club as the TRC UT 20*, but in U.S. lofts). I did this because sometime soon the Egg Spoon 17* will be in the bag, a perfect compliment to the 21*
  2. Whoa! That's loooongggg. I've got to try one of these!
  3. I'll email you to discuss.
  4. Are most of you purchasing the Fairway Wood or the Hybrid Spoon. Also, what is the loft you are playing. I've never hit this club so am curious as to what is its best use. Thanks.
  5. I like your simple approach to go 47 / 52 / 56 or 57 4 wedge choices that I like: 1.) Hand grinded Kenmochi KW-02 wedge made by Master Norio Kenmochi. Conforming but still good bite, minimal offset (I know you prefer onset but...) and easy to open up. Satin finish is not quite as sexy as some other finishes, but it will keep its clean sleek look much longer than most black finishes. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Kenmochi-Black-Forged-Wedge-Head-Only-Non-Conforming-1 2.) Cleveland CG15 Played this wedge all last year in 2010 model (non-conforming). Fantastic wedge, VERY easy to open up. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Cleveland-CG15-Forged-Japan-Only-wedge 3.)Cleveland 588 which has been a HUGE favorite for decades. That is what I now play and highly recommend you take a look at. I play the 588 in gap wedge-53/08* and sand wedge-56/14* http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Cleveland-Tour-Action-588-Conforming-Wedge 4.) Callaway JAWS wedge. Will shred your golf ball to pieces it spins the ball so much. http://www.callawaygolf.com/Global/en-US/Products/Clubs/Wedges/XSeriesJawsCCWedges.html Good luck in your search!
  6. You're kind. I fill my bag with clubs that fit my game from knowledgeable golfers like you and Spoon and Gocchin and others on sites like this one. I just added to my bag the Royal Collection JP104FH - 18* (same club as the TRC UT, only USA version). The nice thing about this club it's like a Wood/hybrid combo. The hosel is 0.335* so you can put in a wood shaft, not just a hybrid shaft. I'm going to pull the shaft and install an Oban Devotion. That combo head and shaft should be a cannon. I'll give review once I get it one the course.

Hello, Let me know if you have one of these for sale. Most interested in a 17* Spoon. Just need the head. Thanks [email protected]
  8. I agree with you Spoon.....I LOVE the Egg spoon and would bag it in a heartbeat. But it is a bit above what I had budgeted for.........(going to have to sell some extra clubs I guess. I wish it was sold head only somewhere. but, I've also heard great comments about both the ROYAL COLLECTION 2011 NEW TRC UTILITY and the YAMAHA 2011 INPRES X D UT UTILITY, which are in my budget. I am leaning towards the RC 19*. Are the RC and Yamaha both square faced at address?
  9. Hi Spoon, Looking for a low profile faced fairway wood OR hybrid 17-19 range that has a square face (not open) to go in between my 15* wood (210 yarder) and 21* hybrid (180 yarder). I'm not looking to work the ball, just hit it straight with tight disbursement. My goal is to find a club that hits in the 195 yard range.
  10. New to Japanese golf clubs and to this great web site, so please be kind to my lack of knowledge. I've read great things about both of these clubs on this site, but am curious as to which one is preferred.
