Hi, I hope you can help. I read a post on the latest epon wedges which whilst everyone "liked" the 208 KGXs they were not forgiving and were very difficult to open up because of their grind. However the latest releases are, from the reviewer far more tolerant. I cannot now find the post (I'm sure it was in this forum) and I'd like to know if they have been reviewed and if so is that the right conclusion? That being the case does anyone have an idea on cost? I'm using and loving the 208s but would welcome the new more tolerant version of these wedges thanks
  3. Thanks Corky, makes sense to me
  4. Hi I wonder if anyone can tell me if the hosel size of this GS Tour 3W is either .335 or .350 Thanks in anticipation
  5. I would appreciate any recomendations shaft wise for the above My swing was analysed my swing a couple of years ago so my swing speed has probably slowed a touch (I'm 54) with a handicap of 16.7 (after a good round this w/e) these were with different clubs than I have now they were from 10.5* TM Burner on a Matrix Ozik Xcon 5 S Tour shaft, the 3w was a 14.5* TM Burner also on a Tour Matrix Ozik Xcon 5 S Driver Club speed average 94.5 (highest 92.2 --> 96.6) – probably very similar Ball speed 131.6 Spin rate (was high to say the least but I believe much better now) 4393 Smash factor 1.39 3W Club speed average 90.6 (highest 99.7 --> 93.3) Ball speed 129.3 Spin rate (was high though it should be better now) 4209 Smash factor 1.43 to be honest on the day these were taken I was not on a purple patch but then again consistency is not my forte. If I let the club do the work and slow down I don’t force the swing and it’s silky smooth thus I get the better distance and dispersion. If, as is not uncommon I speed up then I get a snatched swing with my right shoulder being thrown over the top (left low hook – ugly so ugly) I have little problem getting the ball into the air though this is replacing a Sonartec 13* SS-2.5 on a Fujikura 26.3 (Tour Platform Series) made for Sonartec length from top of grip to joining head (where the hozel cover meats the head) 41” as I struggle with this of the fairway but boy did it go far when off a Tee The driver I am having joy with is a Royal Collection Star fd#1 11.5* on a Diamana 53x5ct R length from top of grip to joining head (where the hozel cover meets the head) 42¼ or ¾ depending if the head includes a chrome band round it or is that part of the hozel? I have a 5W is the SS-3.5 19* (Tour) on a tipped TM Rombax TP-75 S (but being tipped may have made it closer to R) length from top of grip to joining head (where the hozel cover meats the head) 40 3/8” suggestions for a suitable shaft would be appreciated - thanks

I'm wondering if anyone could help me with details on the numbers for Sonartec clubs? I know there are a range of SS 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 02, 03, 07 etc and NP-99 (Nick Price) and even GS Tour ones! But what do the number mean? I'm looking to replace my 13* Sonartec SS - 2.5 on a Fujikura 26.3 and love the feel and launch of Sonartec - I hit high, they fly lowish I bought the 13* to get me off the Tee as I was having real problems finding a suitable driver, now I managed to get hold of a RC fd Star #1 (11.5*) which works for me – its on a Diamana 53 R shaft. The 13* makes it difficult to get off the deck (though not impossible) and I was wondering if a 14* or even a 15* would be better for me and hence the quandary as I'm unsure which model means what? Any help would be gratefully recieved - thanks

Thanks for this - it's really useful and good to compare Appreciated
  8. Thank you sire the 1* closed is very good news... if only we could get hold of headcovers for them (and the Sonartec hybrids/FWs too) my bag looks like a christmas tree when I take the hood down
  9. Thanks for that, it's very useful and even more appreciated. I'll let you know how it performs but your right in the spec. other than I'm told its 390cc (though putting it side by side with a TM Burner 460cc it does look closer to the 440cc) can you pllease tell me what will the 1* close affect? - thanks ta S
  10. Hi all, forgive me if this is the wrong forum but I thought I'd start here. I have recently obtained a new (used) driver - A Royal Collection fd 1 with 3 adjustable weights in the soul plate. I know it is the Japanese parent company of what was Sonartec and this range was brought out for the higher handicappers, being more forgiving however I’d appreciate it if anyone can give me any more details on these clubs, I can find some info on the equivalent fairway models which like my Sonartec 3 and 5 wood have a low penetrating flight (the driver is 11.5* and will work for me as I usually have ‘ no problem with getting it off the ground’ I’d really appreciate if anyone could let me know if it’s still possible to get a tool to adjust the weights and if they are still made Any and all information would be welcome Thanks The picture is far from the best but I'm happy to send better to anyone if wanted
