  1. Not tingy, I describe it as solid and crisp without being too loud.

Hiya Robb, any update on how you finding it initially?

The quest continue and when you think you find a combo then you start thinking about 'there must be even better combo out there' Nice swing btw. Get the PRGR REP because i can see that in the near future it as being a SS measurement that people can relate to in this forum :) Very reliable and consistent and the more the experts here can get a gauge your speed/tempo, the better they will give you advice etc.
  4. Long time no see Chris, hows things? Have u got ridden of the trusty Ryoma/bangvoo? Royal deco is one shaft of interest but I'm still faithful to the cb46/ryoma

Maybe the castlebay clear ones? http://www.castlebay.com/clearview-golf-club-iron-covers.html I have irons covers but only bought cheap ones for transport or I cover alternate irons when on Cart.

Wow, that is awesome! I'd still buy the REP though knowing what i know now :)

Yup lush springtime couch fwy so moderate run Par 4 375meters measured thru laser with last 150m slight uphill. Flushed it and had a 3/4 gap wedge85m to green 2nd. That day, the driver is on song though as i did this 4x and the rest were positional drives. This is where this PRGR REP is starting to show it's worth. Like i said i have lost a couple of mph since Feb but when the adrenalin is pumping in a comp after a decent start then you can really see fireworks if you have a high smash factor. My readings today is explains what baffled me for a while as im 5'3 and my swing looks uninteresting but I can always keep up with the big boys. Like Tario was explaining on the blog my numbers today will more likely match a 115mph at 95-96%. All i can say is that thank goodness Gian11 was there today to confirm that this unit is in working order and of course he is also with me when those 300yarders happen :)
  8. I lucked out with 1st JDM head so had no reason to really get anything else but the Ryoma 9.5 v spec, no roll on the face, it looks like 7* less likely to balloon. Also if u like a small looking head then it hides it's real size well. U would have read the rest of the traits of this great Driver head. There are quite a few hot drivers though so good luck shopping :)

C, ur gonna love it! T, thanks for the explanation & for calming me down last night lol. 1more thing, it was mentioned that being red it could be distracting but it worked the opposite for me. It served like an alignment aid. Is this really legal to use during club comps?
  10. Jonathan stop being a voyeur & post ur findings here lol. It's his & we tested it today.. Bloody awesome, I'll let him report.
  11. Awkward moment lol.. All good.

Thanks Lennie & yes with irons. I actually worked on PW today in terms is swinging shorter & fuller & whilst this distances are seen easily, the figures telling u ur speed & efficiency for the different swing variations is amazing! There's a partial swing mode i think that I haven't gone into yet.
  13. I say get fitted for specs but dont buy. Then get into a keep in shape program during winter (but be careful not to get big chested lol. get a stronger ass muscles instead, its the new chest hehe) Once it's starting to get warm, then get re-fitted then see whats the new toys that are out.
  14. Weird story,it's my friends putter Gian11 and wants to get rid of it as he has too many putters. I putted well on practice green, my boss tried it and said.. i dont really like it. Then he realised he left his putter at home. He was forced to use it. Blitzed the course with like 24 putts and didnt hand it back and just paid me the following week. If the world #1 and Tom Watson the yips man around 3 feet uses it, there must be something about it right?

Holy Molly.. What a gadget!!! I received mine late afternoon yesterday so it took it to work with me (afternoon shifter). Around 8pm i thought get my driver out of the car and lets give this a whirl at the lunchroom on MPH mode.. 88mph huh? Lets swing a bit faster 90mph..what the? I thought my swing slowed down since giving up the ciggies 8 months ago and pile a bit of weight but this is ridiculous.. wait i'm still hitting fairly short irons on 420Yarders par 4. Quick email to Tario asking if this is right. He said the lighting could be a factor, take it to the range tomorrow. So Gian11 & I took this new toy and his new Ryoma F3 to the range today. Warmed up with a couple of wedge shots, couple of 7s then set up the unit. 100mph 100% 100mph 100% 101mph 100% 103mph (yukky slice) 96% 104mph 100% 104mph 98% 102mph 100% then another 8-10 averaging 102mph all 100%.. too efficient must be faulty? I pulled Gian's Yamaha with Quad FE 65S 101mph 100%. This cant be right..this thing is telling me i'm really efficient with something for the 1st time in my life lol. I remember Tario mentioning averaging 96% So i passed to Gian11 who is recovering from ailment and maybe 85-90% back to full health. 88mph 94% 86mph 95% 90mph 96% 92mph 93% 92mph 92% (looking forced) So i said to him, i been meaning to tell you to do this change but we only see each other during competitions as I hate going to driving range (well not anymore). So i explained the changes to him and he did a few practice swings.. then 95mph 96% 96mph 95% 97mph 96% 96 mph 94% 95mph 97% 97mph 96% (swinging freely) His face looked like he won the lottery.. priceless.. the smile was worth the unit already. We then proceeded to try the Ryoma F3 along with the Egg and its amazing what this little gadget tells you on the spot! This gadget is an absolute gem and if you are reading this and don't have one, you are obviously a golf enthusiast. Two words.. get one. Thank you Tario, TSG and all members who shared their experiences with this product. One silly question though, my 7i averaged at 85mph @ 88%. My own explanation that 'this is right' the fact that we are dealing with more loft and more spin therefore efficiency won't be as high? Cheers E

Awesome! I had the CB2 & CB3 but not CB1 but i frequently hear how good the CB1 is. I liked the CB3 but the egg (older model) off the deck beat it. Looking forward to this!

Crazy CB46 7.2 on a Ryoma V Spec 9.5. Sorry about the 7.7 Reco, I'm just responding to ur Ss of 115 which I think might be out as Your driver shaft selection is in line with ur iron flex R so ur good. Ur SS I'll find will be more likely around 95mph. Spoon is 115mph using a 7.7
  20. Eca replied to Robb40's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hey B, if i recall we're similar ur about 102-105 too right with smooth tempo? CB46 7.2 def fitted me well.
  21. haha.. love that. Well i used the Ghost spider for a while and a buddy of mine keeps calling it Thunderbird. It didn't bother me until I just couldn't get the length control lol.

Bangvoo/Crazy is Chris' (Tourspecgolfer) fav combo. From what i hear its the super stable fairway finder whilst the crazy combo is the one with a bit of fireworks in it. Hope that helps lol Just check as to which Bangvoo suits you ie 787 version or the premium (? i think) Cheers
  23. Eca replied to swisstrader's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Taibo is selling the one with bangvoo i think.
  24. 265cpm is not what gave me the pain, it's the D5 340ish gram static weight. I had a lash at it 2 wks ago, i still hit it really good but its a struggle later in the round. My friend Gian11 is 90-95 and is Fitted by Tario for 6.7 & its Perfect. Tario also fitted my 7.2 which is again perfect. Maybe u guys r using those shop ones that give inflated readings :p115mph using 6.2 - 6.9 really is not a good fit to me & 250cpm that a 102mph cant handle is also odd Maybe they are 90mph that swings out of their shoes at the monitor. Btw The high carbon shafts also tend to give higher cpm than what it really plays so my current combo could cpm much higher.
  25. any of the face balanced are pretty much very forgiving and easier to use but it doesnt fit everyone. The Odyssey #7 was one of them that i tried but in the end i went Miura KM-007 which is more a del mar style as i prefer slightly less offset and i can see the alignment. I also liked the feel/sound of this milled head.
