Hey Stew. I'm finding it great, lower flight, doest get as affected against breeze, gr8 feel. Lastly, this will challenge any of ur irons shafts dispersion wise. Very tight. I have shaved quite a few strokes now & really working hard on my greenside game coz my misses are just off the green. I went R+ b/c I prefer the 115g class HSx1 and it frequencies similar to dgs300 & project x 5.5. S 120g S+ 125g. DG X100 is more likely an S+ E

Much appreciated feedback Doc. Also awesome SS! You must be a bomber in your younger days? If u dont mind me asking, height? Build?
  3. Hey Ara, Ur ball striking is obviously pretty good with your selection of irons. The modern blades are definitely a lot more forgiving than the older design. My previous irons were Mizuno mp68 with KBS tours. Beautiful irons during dry firm conditions. Combo is definitely forgiving with high ballflight. Struggled during wet/soft conditions due to it's low bounce. This led me to the 1957s with KBS C Tapers. Pros: narrow heel to toe gives gr8 turf interaction and a different swing feel to normal size heads." Combo is very tight dispersion, it showed how bad my chipping around the green is. Same head weight as standard size heads so it packs a punch. Versatile bounce, firm, soft conditions is no problem. Feel wise? Very addictive. Looks? Its singing I'm sexy & I know it. Cons: can be intimidating at first size wise. But the bal looks bigger which I prefer My hcp has plummeted 3.4 strokes and it's not summer yet where I tend to shoot even better.

I do a d2 3-9 d3 PW GW & d5 SW Just for the knowledge that there is some kind of uniformity in the balance point & slight heavier feel in the wedges to SW. Does it really make a diff? Not too sure but A lot of the things in golf us in ur head so if u think it will give u a peace of mind then do it :)

Same question here. Anyone made a side by side comparison with other measuring device?

Yup BBGM effect, read up on it as it affects how your tip plays.

+1, only tip for FW otherwise you're changing the tip design in a driver head. Is it control that make you wanna go to a stiffer profile? ie are you hooking it?
  10. Just praying it doesn't come in three's after the previous weekends loss.
  11. Very sad, such a gifted rider.
  12. Miura 1957 LE Blades solved my issue. Coming from mp-68 these have more bounce stock and the shorter heel to toe gives an awesome turf interaction. Played it now in various conditions. Huge diff, even during wet conditions, I get nice thin-med divots. Along with the kbs c taper i have dropped 3.4 off my handicap so far in the short period I have had it.
  13. Looking forward to that shootout C. What u shafting the ryoma with?
  14. The boxer shape didn't agree with me but the shaft did. The peanut is something of interest definitely. Love the shape. The f*m2 series I haven't tried.
  15. Hiya C, great stuff man! If u can get a hold of the matrix Altus, gr8 hb shaft. I pulled mine from an Adams Pro-gold.
  16. He will notice if you're tearing up the course yourself :P Well that's when i get the 'what driver is that, what brand is that? what company I'd that? :)

There's a couple of egg spoon out for sale, maybe ryoma f3 orders On the way. This is a proven monster and easy to hit.
  18. Yea.. interesting.. 57k Set lol.

My thoughts is that I hit my 3w off the tee with pretty good distance at 43" and I see quite a lot of players hit their 3w longer than their driver maybe b/c they get solid contact at that length so i don't see why I would need to go beyond 2" longer in a driver. I hit a 44.5 and a 45.5 and my average distance and fwy hits is much better with the shorter driver. My current is at 45.25 as builder wanted to get the swingweight right, so i do aka A Kim and grip down :)
  20. I went for the C Tapers R+ hardstepped once coming from S300, PX5.5 & KBS Tous Stiff. It is lighter at 115g and awesome on the1957s. No exaggeration, my game is like night and day, shooting so consistently in the 70s and dropped 3shots in the 1st 2 months and its not even summer yet when my game peaks :) Playing it your length 38.5" 5 iron (?) you may have to go standard stiff.

    What Club? Driver?
  22. Gone from DGs300-all time classic Rifle s-90 TM version- great shaft on the harsh side but performed. Project x - as above dead muted feel 1150gh - smooth nothing bad but also nothing that grabs me KBS tours - best feel but high launch KBS c tapers - much Lower launch, lower spin, best dispersion and retained the KBS feel that I liked. Sexy stepless satin to boot.
  23. I don't even use a tee with the previous gen if the tee ground is lime a fwy. I like both and having been used to the sound of the previous, I didnt worry about the newer. Mine has the ilima 80s.
  24. That's my current set up! Wish I could afford having another as a backup.

After years of full shaft offset, went to no offset briefly then now to 1/2 offset. I find this little difference quite significant.
