  1. Thats where i get confused with these grinds, that one that lets you open/heel relief and still keeps the leading edge close to the ground. If this is your 58 strong lob/sand wedge.. kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it? I mean the purpose of the bounce is to act like a keel and keeps leading edge off the ground for the sand shot? Educate me if I'm understanding this wrong.
  2. I'll print this and show to the local builder :) Thanks C
  3. I'm also one of the wedge help posters here and it's tough. It's my next project after driver. One thing I can add to C's comment is to make sure you get s swingweight progression right and pay particular attention to the lie angle being your scoring clubs. It's still no fool proof. I tried same brand, same shaft and still no success. Even thought of buying an extra PW and bending it to GW loft just to get a continuous feel. It just doesn't feel right past PW.
  4. Lol! Bill that made my day too!
  5. "he put 2 small strips of lead tape over the gold embelm o n the bum of the club. and made it SW D2.5" Stew is this the circular thing? 3g strips x 2 Doesn't that area promote higher launch?
  6. I was thinking that.. I might go tip weight. The head is a healthy 201g as is so let's see.
  7. Hey Stew, thanks heaps, this is so valuable info. I've been warned once the cb46 arrives I will have trouble with SW. It's d2.5 with quadra 65sx & the crazy is lighter. Question is tip weights vs lead tape. I'm sure they will have a different affect on the club.
  8. Same here Chris.
  9. Googling the subject of bounce & sole width on irons since so much rain in Sydney & everything is soooo soft & lush. This topic came up.
  10. I haven't seen proof and it's one of those that really need numbers. At my age I could stay on denial and believe the shaft is getting stiffer as years go by :p
  11. So many moving parts in the swing & things can change so subtle during a round so any equipment help is appreciated :) You're right though, gone to a range that's a little sandy & really exposed the off strikes.
  12. Fast forward 2011.. I'm interested in more recent model irons falling in this category.

I saw your driver heads and shaft line up on another thread.. Holy Molly .. That will really create some awesome combos. Glad to hear that the 102/proto is still untouchable.

I was after info on the premium/rombax bangvoo Stew. Bit softer than your version which is from a speeder technology I think. I heard the premium version is also very tight but I went for the crazy explosion :)

That's really pleasing to hear that you're enjoying it especially that I have followed the same route. There quite a few including yourself that's given me important info. Hopefully I will also experience your joy soon :) (fingers crossed)

yea.. i know of someone giving a it a run now also coming from a cb46 6.7 but went to premium 260. They seem to drop 5-6 cpm when installed. Too soon to tell though. I've gone 7.2 we'll see how it goes i guess.

NVM.. went the crazy route :)
  18. yea and matching wedges too :) Save on the postage. Truly he's got great stuff.
  19. Lol! I know the feeling :)
  20. You can't go wrong.. Check Bst I'm sure Stew had a head and shafted one there (supo67)
  21. Maybe maintain your shaft weight class with either yamaha or epon head then tinker with jdm shaft later on. I just had my taste of a JDM head and I'm blown away so crazy shaft is next.
  22. Great review Frank and thanks. I also use the Pentas and they are great.
  23. Hi All, Not hearing much write up on this shaft aside from Chris on his review with the Ryoma. It did rank 2nd in Tario's latest Blog on CB46/shaft ranking. Wouldn't mind knowing your: SS 7 Iron Carry Flex/CPM Bangvoo Thanks Eric
  24. That's really odd + the weight is so light. Wouldn't you have been better off using same shaft as your 9i/Pw to your other wedges?

They look very sexy too. Anyone hit both irons for comparison?
