  1. did you buy a themed GF or was it custom?
  2. Same here. Thanks for the post, you just motivated me to do the smart thing. not what appears more "manly"...
  3. thanks for teh update. I'm thinking about doing the same. Why do you prefer the driving iron over the 5 iron?
  4. Looks like a deeper face may serve you.
  5. Very interstesting. Thanks for the feedback!
  6. Lately i noticed that the matching wedges in my set does not do my short game justice. I'm switching back to something i can work the ball with like Yururi, clevleands, or vokey. Not sure...will do research.
  7. If you got the right shaft, the Ryoma's are the one this year!
  8. Yes, it shouldn't be a problem if you have played clubs with this offset. If not, it will take a little getting used to but shouldn't affect your shots after that.
  9. or if you are on a bigger budget, the other Geotech offerings are good too. I liked the N-16s. they have a nice shape and very clean looking forged irons.
  10. If you were on budget, some of the other Geotech offering are good too. I liked the N-1
  11. I bought the 16 and there is a 1 month wait also. i think this is for all lofts...
  12. i have to agree with tsger on this. Miura makes some irons for the better player. But I've never known them for forgiveness.
  13. I've never thought about doing this but it seems like a good idea. The utilities work well for me much better compared to fws. Launch higher and land softer. Gotta try this out.
  14. Smaller head but bigger sweet spot? How in the world are they doing this. Does this mean it has the workability of the small head, but forgiveness of a 460 head?
  15. Chipper wedges are amazing. I haven't got the courage to bag them yet, but my older partners use them and they are masters from the fringe. Perhaps i should suck it up...i'm sure it could save me a couple strokes.
  16. Honma's are very popular due to their name status and good performance. The 2 & 3 star are fairly affordable and they do get blingy as you get to the 4 & 5 star, but you really are paying for the high end shaft and not the bling.
  17. Im using the normal D-1 with the standard shaft and my drives are 10+ yards longer than usual at my home course. My buddies have the same results.
  18. I've been awaiting pics of these. I only seen the ones in the proshop, but want to see it from all angles. Then I will make my decision to add it to the bag or not.
  19. I can't wait to see 'real' pics of these of all angles and especially address. When is the release date?
  20. I got to hit my buddy's Xdrive 705 455 at the range. It was only about 20mins, but i got tuned in to the driver very quickly. It had a somewhat buttery - endo like feel at impact, not the same as the Epons, but very nice. The 455 was very forgiving and very easy to get the ball straight, but when i wanted to create a fade or draw it happened. Nice looking driver very tourstagesque design. My friend had a bunch of people come up to him to check it out.
  21. Congrats!!! that must have been awesome. I've been playing my fourteen UT-409 for half a year now. No albatross yet, but it's staying in the bag!
  22. I think the Vs are still out there because they were released after the normal AXIVs. So if you like em, you should buy them in case they choose to discontinue them.
  23. The forgings of the Epon feels much solfter at impact than the Miuras. I don't know about the 501 but i do like the feel and workability of the 302.
  24. I use Round Rubber grips. I like the Nowons and Iomic just for the looks. I the different brands don't make much of a difference to me.
  25. The offset on the Yamahas in gocchins post looks pretty straight. Even though i can't compare them next to each other, my best guess is that the Yamaha has less offset than the AF701.
