Yururi Wedges
Were the 107"s forged or cast? Are they still in production?

Yururi Wedges
The recent GTI review of the Yururi wedge line was terrific. Are these wedges updates of the Yururi CNC KMO107's or different designs? Are the 107's still produced and sold? Yururi 107 Wedge.doc

KW Murray Putters
Came across some KW Murray putters on ebay that looked really nice. Hand made in the U.S. by Ken Murray. I tried doing some research and could not come up with a lot. He made 7 models, some were very close to the designs of TP Mills and that in the 80's the putters went for big bucks in the Japanese collectable market. Apparently Murray was a top notch amateur player in his day and one poster noted he has his own, high end collection of clubs and putters. Anyone know the history of this designer and his work, and a good source for the purchase of his putters?

Putter Fitting
Has anyone invested the time and money getting a putter fitting? If so, what system did you pick? What did you learn that you didn't know before? What changes were made to your stroke, angle, loft, shaft length, putter head weight, grip, etc.? And, did the fitting result in you either purchasing a new putter to the fitting specs, or have your current flat stick tweaked to the fitter's specs? Thanks for any feedback.

Just stunning looking putters.

Edel Wedges
Dave Edel, the putter fitting guru, has come out with custom wedges...they look fantastic: http://www.edelgolf.com/index.php These look to have every bit as much craftsmanship, high end materials and customization as the beautifully forged Japanese manufacturers offer.

Mallet head putters
I just moved from an Anser styled Rossa to an Odyssey Black Series 3. It's a small head mallet with a flow neck vs. the plumber's neck I had been used. Feels good, looks good at address and gets the ball rolling where its pointed.

Pride Wedges
Those pride wedges featured in the gallery look fantastic. Will there be some coverage on these sticks?

High end putters
While not made specifically for the Japanese market, I have to believe there would be interest in other high end, hand made putters, and would love to see some reviews by Tourspec on craftsmen like Byron Morgan, Gene Nead, TP Mills, Bettinardi, Tad Moore and James Ingles.

You found this in your garage? I would hate to tell you what I find in my garage, and it's no Epon Putter. Want to trade garages?

More Epon Fakes on Ebay?
I think the $39.99 price tag is a pretty good tip off.

EPON 210 KGK Wedge
As far as any additions to the bag, I have my heart set on the new Titelist 910 D2 driver. Unfortunately, the wife's birthday is coming up and she wants a new watch. My youngest just got accepted to college and as anyone who has kids know, college is like putting a vaccum cleaner in your bank account. So, the new driver will have to wait.

Ping Anser Forged Irons
Finally pulled the trigger...Ping Anser Forged Irons Won a small claims verdict and decided to use it to splurge on some new sticks. I've been playing Ping ISI BeCu's since '96. Always loved them, but with age my strength, swing and the rest of it changed a bit. I looked and looked and tried and tried some more, but could never find a set of irons I felt comfortable with. After much research and soul searching, I found Ping's new Anser Forged Irons. Forged in China, assembled in the US, but only sold in Japan (supposed to be released in limited quantities in the US in November or early 2011). I got fitted professionally and sent the specs to Tourspecgolf in Japan. 3/4 inch longer than standard, Nippon lightweight steel R's, upright 1.3 degrees. First day out, couldn't hit a shot. Wanted to kill myself or take up bowling. Went to the range with tears in my eyes to work things out...CABOOOOM! Got my swing adjusted to the new look, feel and set up and went to town. These sticks are terrific. Soft forged feel that I was used to from the BeCu's, nice classic set up at address, topside just a little thicker than the ISI's, but in no way a shovel look. It's a forged cavity back with a sort of muscle back look and feel that reflects a finesse and power energy to them. Also, none of that multi-colored, souped up design on the caddy side of the club head like the G10's and G15's...very clean and classic. The pre-fitting was essential for the investment I made and worked out well. These are really different Ping's. The design is structured for nice feedback, that I like and the ball stops every bit as well as the old groves delivered on the ISI's. For those who don't cotton to Ping products, this model could really change your mind. In fact, I see the Japanese divisions of TaylorMade and Cobra also came out with similar forged designs.

EPON 210 KGK Wedge
Custom ordered and received my new Epon 210 KGK Wedge. Ordered it 3/4 inches longer than standard, 52 degree loft with the Nippon 950 lightweight steel shaft with R Flex. This wedge is just beautifully finished, lines up to the target well, has a very classic, comfortable look at address and with the 14 degree bounce, stops on a dime despite the new grooves. I never dreamed of spending quite so much on a wedge, but after all the years playing it was time for something special. Still learning all the ways to employ this stick, but am having fun using it on long chips as well as short and long pitches. I'm a 7.9 handicap index and purchased the Epon Gap to replace my Ping ISI BeCu Gap that I had in the bag forever. It took a lot of heart to make the change, but am very satisfied and feel this club is well worth it in terms of quality, customization and playability.

Saw this beautiful EPON putter in the proshop section. While I can't layout $500+ on a putter and so far happy with my Rosa, this really caught my eye. Anyone own one of these? Epon Putter.doc

epon 208 kgx copper wedges
BeCu irons can no longer be produced in the States and have not been since around 1996. Very hard metal with very soft feel. If you want to try a copper wedge, I would suggest you purchase a Ping ISI or Ping Eye 2 wedge on ebay. I can personally attest to how terrific the ISI's are as I have a set.
