  1. I saw Tario's post on the GTI blog back in June, and thought it looked great. Saw it in person a while back but haven't heard anything more about it since. How does it play compared to the T2 model for example? What is the flex profile and numbers for this shaft? You'd almost think Mamiya never really launched it, there are very few comments about it on the web.
  2. There is a Conductor LX Deep Tour version too..
  3. Its actually available in the pro shop here! With some very good looking "in hand" photos as well, just search under Shop By Brand and you will find Jbeam heads, including this one. Here is the link: My link
  4. There are plenty of posts describing the various CRAZY and Jbeam heads, mostly 435, 435II, 460, 425 tour.. But how about the 445-HG from Jbeam? Did anybody try it or does anybody own it? It seems like a low launch kind of head and looks nice with that black finish. Also, what is High Grade (the HG in the name) about it compared to the other Jbeam heads? I more or less stumbled across it after checking out the thread about the Jbeam FW heads.
  5. Looks really powerful. Maybe not for the player that need help to get the ball airborne though? With that deep face?
  6. Yes, thats right, I remember reading an article about this here on TSG. Did you ever consider selling Kamui Pro drivers? Or would that be less than ideal because of the split you mentioned? They also have some pretty good looking irons.
  7. Yep, that looks like it. This is a link to the homepage: My link
  8. Hi all I saw the new "Full forged" Kamui KP-X driver today in Bangkok, they sold it both head only and shafted,m pretty pricey stuff, almost in the same league as Kamui Works/Crazy/Jbeam/Ryoma when it comes to price. The standard shaft was a Fire Express, so a pretty serious looking club. I liked the way it sat and looked really hittable with a deep face. Also liked the black finish with a satin finish "silver" face. This is a club from Kamui Pro, not to confused with Kamui Works that we can find in the TSG proshop. Kamui Pro is apparently a spin off from Kamui Works, the result of some some internal conflict, created by some disgruntled Kamui employees, from what i remember reading in an article that Tario wrote some time ago? EDIT: Im not sure how "new" this driver is, maybe its a new version of the KP-X or maybe its just new in Thailand. Very pricey in Thailand, not sure they are as expensive in Japan though.
  9. Seems like Non-conforming drivers are making a bit of a come back? Used to be some years ago that many, if not most, JDM drivers were Non-conforming. Then they more or less disappeared, and conforming heads is now the most common. Among my golf buddies a non-con head would be sneared at, for sure a no no.
  10. Hi Did anybody here ever try the Zestiaim Fi-3 irons? They look pretty nice with that weight pad in the back of the clubhead, behind the sweetspot.
  11. Thanks a lot J Good info right here. Yeah, I saw your comments on the RD/460 combo and got interested. The reason I complicate matters is that I usually hit the ball quite high as it is, and dont get much roll, but carry it quite far. So, lower lofted heads, and usually the "tour" version is what I go for, coupled with a bit heavier shafts in the 70 gram range. Recently I have tried several lighter shafted drivers and have gotten some very good results, and that has gotten me to think I want a "friendlier" driver, either headwise or shaftwise, hence thinking up these combos of easy head/bit tougher shaft vs low launch head/lighter shaft to get to some sort of "ultimate" compromise, ha ha. But, of course, since the RD now comes in XX stiff versions even, I guess there has been some sort of demand out there for a stouter RD shaft to go with the 460 head..Or maybe a slightly stouter lower torque shaft like the CB46 to go with the 460?
  12. Excellent stuff Stew. Tell me, would you prefer a CRZ 435II with say, a Royal Decoration, To get a bit of friendliness and a slightly higher launch with this low-launch head. OR say, a CRZ 460 with a low launch shaft like a LS 80 or similar to get the flight down just a smidge with this high launch head to enhance roll out? Id like to see that comparison.
  13. So, when using the RD shaft, do you swing as hard and fast as you normally do? Or does the lighter weight make you swing smoother and maybe a tad slower? Unconsciously I mean? Have you noticed such tendencies? I have tried a few of my friends light shaft drivers recently, some even in R flex and I can still control them pretty well, and hit them a long way, with much less effort. I noticed that I naturally swing less hard with that kind of driver. Plus, is the 8.5 degree CRZ 460 head custom ordered? If I remember they only go down to 9.5?
  14. 529 dollars for a new uncut Stinger is a "rip off"? I think it sounds down right cheap. Was expecting much more for a rare boron shaft like that. Really. EDIT: Does anybody know how much they cost when they came out? Much less than 529 dollars?
  15. Aha, good info. So, since I mostly play golf in Thailand were softer conditions are the norm, these might be a bit "diggy" then.
  16. Hi A question for Tario maybe. Is the flat black finish option on the yururi KM irons hard wearing and tough? Or will the face go silver in colour quickly? Will the flat back finish rust? Is the Satin finish much more hard wearing? Thanks
  17. Ha ha, yeah you gotta feed the monster. Are you working in a golf related field or are you just "lucky" to be working and living in the midst of all these golf shops?
  18. Ive always been a bit drawn to these Maruman Couductor drivers, just because of their looks. See them quite often in Bangkok, and at really good prices too..So, if I find one of these lighty used this week when I go to Bangkok I should get it then? It really LOOKS good anyway.
  19. Aha...Good info here. So, a Crazy 460 with all its hitability and ease of use coupled with a bit lower launch and heavier shaft might be the way to go..Thinking time I guess.
  20. Ok Tario, good info again, as always. Thanks. Im not anti high launch per se, just worry about getting very little or no roll. But as long as they are low spin I guess its not a real problem, and of course depending on the head. I have tried a few drivers with softer and lighter shafts recently and weirdly I dont get any excessive balooning or super high trajectory, but I hit them very straight and it all seems so much easier, especially the straightness, than with my W7WA and the 72X miyazaki. This has got me back on the trail for another driver, again.
  21. Does anybody with a bit higher swing speed have any experience with the UL shafts? Like me that swings around 114mph when I swing well and hard, but not out of my shoes. A friend of mine uses the Wyvern and likes it a lot, but he also swings a lot slower than me. Would the Bassara Wyvern 53 in TS (tour stiff) hold up well to a bit more aggressive swing? Or fpr example the Crazy RD in Xstiff? Is the trajectory always on the high side?
  22. Used the rifle shafts for a while many years ago, then switched to DG S300 that I used for a long long time. Really like the DG S300 actually, and still do. But wanted something a bit more stiff, felt the X100 was a bit too much and now play the SP blue in Xstiff and really like them. Smooth, stable and beautifully finished as well..I thibk the Blue Super Peenings are the best shaft out there..Also tried the KBS tours, and they were prett nice, I use the wedge version in my wedges. 1. SP blue 2. DG S300
  23. Ok, so a 9.5 460 with a heavier, low torque and low launch shaft would be an easy to hit bomber then I guess? If I dont want that mega super high trajectory I mean, but still highish with a chance of some roll out? Or maybe a head thats 8.5-9 degrees? Otherwise a 450 with a shaft that is a bit lighter and tip active? Which one of these two combos would you go for?
  24. I am thinking about getting a preomium driver head, a CRAZY, Jbeam, Kamui or even a Ryoma. Ive been checking out Stews tests and comments on the Crazy 460, and kinda like the idea of a friendly, easy to hit and large bomber, paired with a low launch/high kick point shaft. But it seems a bit difficult to get hold of a decent review on the 450 version? Its still one of the "current" drivers on the Crazy website and Im wondering how it compares to the 460? I noticed its not in the Pro Shop too. Is it lower launching and lower spinning?
