It's the weirdest sounding driver I have hit in a longtime.. in a good way, but still odd. The face is very HOT and the ball almost looks like it has top spin in the air. It's a long as anything I have hit recently...I was hitting it side by side with my J340 today. My F2 is 8.5* and has a Zcom TW74 which is somewhat mid kick..Seems to hit true to loft if not a little higher, but that might be due to the shaft... So far so good... Really nice looking at address...

so the retail version is going to have the V on the face... I've seen others with no V on the face maybe that equals Tour.. atleast it will be easy to tell the difference.. kudos to Callaway.. you know I'll try it. -Johnny

I was my experiment to see if I liked the X1's.. I like em. Really nice condition I will try to get pictures up soon. 38 inch 5 iron..swingweight is D3 +/- a half or so. Lamkin cord grips, logo down. No serial numbers on the hosels..You know the shafts cost $400+ to install...so I'm looking for $600 shipped and paypal'd. OBO. Not looking for much in the way of trade bait.. unless you have tour camerons, or a fusion ft-2. thanks for looking, Johnny

just saw him tee off with a cleveland on #1...all is right in the world..not only that it show the marking of the retail version..eventhough we all know it probably is not.

atleast now they will have to second guess themselves about the contract... obvoiusly the contract never said he has to play a cleveland driver...if he indeed did go back to the R7. The cleveland will be back I'm sure..needs further tweaking I guess. We all know Vijay is a HO anyways..win with something and it's out the next week...

problem with that...is that only the MaruSpec is USGA conforming.. the others are not.

The best TS driver IMHFO is the J340...but it's no where near the size of the R7 which is 400cc -vs- 340cc for the J340. You might want to try the new TS's... Xdrive2 405.

I agree with you.... been somewhat dissappointed lately with some big ticket items... Stuff I probably would have bought anyways...but it's nice to know the truth..I hate surprises.. Irons with rock dings ( small but there) Drivers with covered up skymarks... on and on...
