  1. Hmm... I'm quite sure that it will run ANY language software. Your main problem would be how much of the OS you have to navigate through. If there is a lot of functionality in the OS itself (which I assume there IS, since it can do so many things), then you will have to learn to navigate everything in Japanese. I DO know that I bought an NDS (Nintendo Dual Screen) for a friend, and we were able to select the language of the OS. :smile2:
  2. I had FOUR Tourstage staff bags at one time. Now I'm down to 2. Apart from golf clubs, I've got their hats, shoes, gloves, umbrella, shirts, sweaters, jackets, pants, and even 2 pairs of socks! They just have such a complete and comprehensive range of golfing everything its amazing. I mean, they even have tees! I need help, and TSG isn't it... :)
  3. Is that CBTS50 a 10 incher? I would love to have a 10 incher...
  4. Its been selling like hot-cakes here in Hong Kong too. I haven't bought one, because it is only available as a parallel import, and therefore doesn't have any English software. Friends of mine have bought it though, and I played around with Metal Gear Solid, and... :surprize: WOW! The clarity of that screen is just incredible. Another friend of mine loaded up on Sony stock as soon as he saw the PSP (but the stock price dropped :-) ). I'm pretty sure that I'll be buying any English version when it is officially released here.
  5. Yup... I myself am also a great fan of the Tourstage/Paradiso culture. Unfortunately, I think that Bridgestone have no choice but to commit wholeheartedly to the decision to use that name in the U.S. This would definitely mean getting their No. 1 player in on the act. I certainly hope that they have researched how this might impact their sales in Japan of Tourstage/Paradiso branded items.

    PM sent.
  7. I'd give him a vote of confidence too. Fast shipping even out to me here in Hong Kong! Only criticism I can think of is that his communications are a bit abrupt, but then that would be TOTALLY just nit-picking and unfair. After all, with the amount of emails I'm sure he gets, I would be just as abrupt, and probably rude too!
  8. Hi Taipanli! Long time no see... I'm surprised you let such a classic set go! I saw a set the other day at Golf Town, but they were asking silly money! I think they're quite a good shop, certainly much better stocked per square foot than many other places. Hi! Which one is Golf Town? What price were they asking? Their first outlet I heard of was in Leighton Centre, but they just opened up in Admiralty (Far East Finance Centre) next to the PING shop. If I remember correctly, they had a typical Hong Kong "HK$1X,000" price tag. :o I didn't bother asking what the "X" was.

  10. 79mm according to THIS.
  11. I play both the Z101s and X-Blade CBs. I was leaning more towards the Zs, as they looked more "player", with the XBCBs as back-up. I switched them around a few days ago, and I think the XBCBs are going to stay! XBCBs are more shovel-like than the Zs, but the way I've been playing, who cares? After all, I can't see the extra-wide sole when I'm hitting the club anyway. And now that Chris has them confirmed as the most popular iron on the JPGA, I now have some street-cred too!
  12. I read the thread title, but when I clicked in, I thought you had posted pictures of Honma clubs instead. :-D

I used the "Emma" belly putter for quite a while, with great success. However, and I know I'm going to get some flak for this... I switched because I was sick of all the "cheating" comments. I have since swapped a Baby Bee into the bag, with just as much success! Having said that, I do recommend the Yes putters over pretty much anything out there ('cos I'm not a Scotty fan).
  14. So, when is it out in Japan? I thought they would be a bit quicker than the North American market, seeing as the R7 Quad itself was released about a month or two earlier in Japan. I'd like to see what kind of headcover it'll have as well. Seems like quite a task improving on the existing R7 headcover!
  15. Can't wait to jump on the R7 bandwagon with the TP. In spite of being a BIG TourStage fan, I STILL don't like that Synergy.

What a perfect choice for the title, 'cos I looked at it, read through it and said the exact same thing (several times over).

Much more offset and larger than your "average" forged CB. I was quite surprised, because I thought that with the X-Blade name, they would be otherwise similar to the X-Blades, but just in a CB. I was wrong. More offset, larger size, thicker topline, wider sole... the works! Thankfully, this is just what I needed since my handicap has been gettting worse due to too much work, not enough play. Tried them out and the long irons (as with the TS-201s) are stupid easy to hit. Long and high shots every time. (FYI, the TS-201 2-iron is the only 2-iron I used regularly. If I can get my hands on an X-Blade CB 2-iron, I will put it in play for sure!) However, the short irons are TOO high (even with the stronger lofts). Thinking of putting stiffer shafts into them, but I can't get TX Tour taper tips in X-Stiff... So still undecided on that front. Good thing is that the stop on a dime! Or maybe a 8O swing change?!
  18. TS202s lean towards the "game improvement" side. Larger clubface and sole, lower COG, more offset, etc. Z101s are "player's" cavity backs. My X-Blade CBs also have a larger clubface and sole than I expected. However, I'm playing great golf with them, so they'll stay for the time being.
  19. TaylorMade XR-05 CTi. Its got a composite top, as opposed to the all-titanium "regular" XR-05. They are all NON-conforming. Here's a pic from their Japanese website, which clearly shows the top. Oh, and Chris has it in his picture signature. It's the driver on the left.
  20. I've got that catalogue in my office... It motivates me to work harder! :D

No experience with these, but from what I hear, they are definitely LONG. Srixon isn't unfamiliar with how to build a long driver, as some of my friends have previous models which they absolutely refuse to replace, regardless of how many new models they've tried.
  22. Just went through the entire R7 mini-site, and I must say it is certainly impressive. Even if the driver itself is fugly, I'm sure a LOT of work was put in to organise this launch (not like TourStage, whose www.tourstage.com took forever to work, and was about as dull as this post). There is an explanation of the weighting system, and also a fitting page (quite similar to the existing one, but with newer graphics). A lot of information to read, including a timeline with some TaylorMade history (for you SERIOUS TM fans). Can't wait for the English version, so I can finally understand all that info!
  23. I use overlap, as I feel more comfortable strenghthening/weakening my grip at will with this. With the inter-locked, it feels much tighter for sure, but I can't get quite as comfortable with it as I can with the overlap.
  24. You're probably right!
  25. Any idea what that "JDI" means :?:
