My last putter. Gold's Factory
Beautiful putter. As for lying...no worries, it's for a good cause.

Cool. See how with attas Tourspx shafts you need an email address to get the specs? I liked that.

Any Truth To This?
I only just read the wrx thread. Wow. He doesn't claim tsg sell fakes, but he certainly does imply it! Plonker. This guy is playing the innocent middle man sharing his research. To me he comes across as a sly and shady salesman just plugging that fake website. So he's implying everybody sells fakes, might as well buy fakes at fake prices.

Any Truth To This?
That was my initial point. My fear that outsourcing (and I don't mean epon) unleashes a whole new beast of fakes. Good fakes. I don't have the eye for spotting so I'm a target. There's a pretty easy solution to this. Serial numbers one can easily check. Drivers more often than not have them. Epon 7 irons have them. A 24 hour tool to verify them would be great (if feasable). I'd be willing to spend a little more for the product if that service was added.

Haha! Ramblings of a clueless nutter!

Any Truth To This?
I must have really written a whole lot of nonsense to come across as someone who doesn't know what jdm/OEM stand for! :)

Any Truth To This?
A whole lot of lust. And the fact that not more people in the EU (bar the UK) play jdm really pees me off. I envy you lot in the US (and australia, japan...)for this. Lord knows I try to get people to buy jdm. I probably bring up tsg 10 times a day when I'm at my club. Until recently, I'd let loads of people try my gear, they'd love it...and nothing. Then I get the petty comments, the jealous looks... I think my wife understands my love for jdm gear more than actual players do. Recently I heard for the 1000th time, jdm is the same thing as oems...so I give up.

Any Truth To This?
Expressing concern, or even criticizing while amongst jdm enthusiasts is one thing. Going out of your way on a place like wrx to bash for the sake of bashing is another. I feel it's important to maintain some level of dissent, just not in 'public'. Nothing constructive about that at all.

Any Truth To This?
That last comment of mine was probably a little extreme (not the self confessing old git one, the one before that) Either way, I just love my jdm. Where there's love, there's passion.

Good point you have there. I guess I'm just a fussy old git! :)

Any Truth To This?
I'm not labeling Chinese work in general and I'd be a fool to question their engineering skills. I just think for the price they go for, they should be made 100% in Japan. Take matellurgy for example, Chinese regulation is not as strict as it is in Japan where laws regarding things like chemical compositions are very difficult to meet. The japanese are the ones renowned for their forging skills, their foundries... The whole package is what makes jdm gear so attractive to me. I don't just pay for the brand, I pay for the package. I feel it would be like Ferrari moving their factories to Vietnam and keeping the same prices and reputation. That won't happen. And epon, yam... are the ferraris of golf.

Why can't blokes like you live in the EU? I'm tired of missing out on all these deals. Out here people rarely have anything interesting to offer.

Any Truth To This?
I'm not worried about Epon in particular. I'm just one of those who believes fake makers should hang on a noose.

Any Truth To This?
Ok, i might annoy a few people with this but hey.... Would I prefer jdm clubs to be made in Japan? Yes. I lived in Japan 20 years ago, loved the country, the people, the Integrity...and i know first hand the sort of pride they put into their work. But mostly, I'm against sending artisan work abroad (yes, there's a reason why it costs so much, skilled workers...). Just like I wouldn't want my hand made Italian shoes to be made abroad. Take Yamaha for example; none of us could find a single leak, photo....nothing. If yams were made in china, we would have seen pics ages ago. Then...fakes. Many here saw the epon photos on one of these threads the other day. Many questioned the price....Not one of the epon csi team took the risk of calling them fakes.... because they were top fakes. Outsource your work, they end up in a Chinese factory, a mould disappears...and next thing you know you have fakes circulating before they've even been released. And who suffers? We do. I'm not bashing Chinese people, merely pointing out that they play by a different set of rules than the Japanese.

Way too flashy for me, but I'd love to try it back to back with the original.

I just can't get used to looking down and seeing graphite shafts on my irons. That and I like to know that I can throw a club in the bushes without the shaft getting all scratched up. :)

EPON I33 putter BNIB SOLD
I was only selling gear because the missus forced me to sell before I bought. Now that i've seem the Yams...I don't need to buy anymore. So i'm buying back what I sold and what hasn't been paid for, like a certain yammie 3 wood I love so much...., is staying right here!!

Torn between AF 302 and AF 502
I still haven't gotten over the 2.3 in 3 years... I've been playing for 28 years and the lowest I reached is 1.4! And I went from 5.5 over the summer to a 7! And I played cricket at a pretty good level. Darn.

EPON I33 putter BNIB SOLD
I basically just bought the same putter I sold a couple of days ago for the same price I sold the other one for. Separation anxiety...I don't mind getting rid of drivers, but putters I get attached to.
