Help picking a new shaft
imho, the sp blues have a higher kick point and slightly lower trajectory than the s300's. the s300's have a weird oscillation on good shots that i guess is supposed to translate into good feel but i'm not a fan. the spb's are just solid and i think more suited for the stronger/more aggressive player. as i mentioned, i don't know that there's a better feeling shaft on perfect shots than spb's. i have a set of 3-pw pulls in stiff that were soft stepped and built around a 38" 5iron. if you're interested you can pm me.

the big kahoonas .............., driver length
stew, how does the bb-7s feel/play compared to the ad-di7...because i absolutely HATE that shaft! no, but that is a shaft i was interested in before i tried the crazy. i have the rd in my ryoma but really liked the ly-02 in the 435. it's been a while since i was looking, what are it's characteristics compared to the ly-02?

shaft weights HUGE MISTAKE...!
from my experience you don't want to tip trim them. the object of butt cutting a 7 or 8 iron is to create a "spinner" type shaft but with characteristics consistent with the rest of your set...so by tip trimming you're giving up spin and feel which to me are most important in my scoring irons.

shaft weights HUGE MISTAKE...!
i use 8iron shafts in my wedges butt cut to length and tip weighted to d8 (my irons are d5). it keeps the feel consistent throughout the set and gives me added control (spin) when needed. some people will go up a flex when they do this for the added weight and control but i think my set-up is peeerrrrfffeecct!!

Fragile Shaft
so bizarre! i tried to recreate a scenario in which my bag falling could have snapped the shaft and for the life of me i can't figure it out. either way, a bag falling over on the course seems so routine and common that i would have to believe it should fall under the umbrella of normal use. i can't tell you how many times i've simply dropped my bag off my shoulder onto the grass...but rest assured, i'll NEVER do that again if these shafts are that fragile!!!

KBS C Taper Shafts - New in Box
ah, ok. i do know their pw is a 9iron shaft. a few of us had reported great results with the 8 & 7iron shafts in our wedges so maybe they caught on.

light heads.... heavy shafts tourstage 905/monacco TX
i play a swing weight of d4-d5 in all my irons so it does make sense to me. i think it's the reason i couldn't get along with the miura tb's...i kept thinking they forgot a few grams in the muscle. i much prefer a heavier head as it allows me to feel exactly when and where the shaft is loading and unloading. i prefer it even more exaggerated in my drivers and play those between d8-e0! when the shaft unloads all that head weight at impact...well, let's just say that i sometimes feel sorry for the ball!

New sticks? Miura, Yururi, other?
maybe it's the way it loads on my iphone. most of the images don't match the listings! as an example, the two last listings for sets of iron heads show a wedge. here's a screenshot...

New sticks? Miura, Yururi, other?
it's hard to shop for romaro here...all the pics/listings are mismatched in the pro shop!! hopefully the guys can get things sorted out. ;)

New sticks? Miura, Yururi, other?
that's definitely the case but speaking from experience, the yururis and c-tapers are my gamers and have sent some serious high end clubs into my storage closet!

New sticks? Miura, Yururi, other?
i play the c-tapers in two sets of irons including my yururis. i've tried the nippon super peening blues because their performance is similar to the c-tapers but are supposed to have better feel. they probably do have a very slightly better feel but only not the most perfectly centered strikes. everything else the c-taper wins. the tt monacos are one of the best all around performers but i still prefer the trajectory and reduced spin of the c-tapers. aerotech steelfibers are also quite impressive and i can't find a single thing wrong with them but again, i prefer the spin and trajectory of the c-tapers. with all that said, if you already like the c-tapers, i don't see any reason to stray!
