  1. This is the Tour pro service level. TM drivers in Tour have their face shaved up. This though will affect forgiveness. The flatter the face is the less forgiving it is but Tour pros like shaving as it makes club more workable.
  2. Same mold with only aesthetic variations? You could have 3 different brand but actually are the same head.
  3. There is a launch event at Roppogi today. Those that love the Maxima will like this one.
  4. I'm flying in to Tokyo tonight. If I have a chance to demo them, I'll post my initial impression. This new model looks so the same to the 2013 model.
  5. Take-san does some of the grinding for tour pros in Asian Tour. His grinding skills is amongst the best.
  6. Yes. She uses CNX fitting studio at Pothalai Sports club. I see she practices hitting balls like a male golfer. BTW, Trackman numbers don't lie. It's a Doppler type not photometric. It either won't pick up shots at all or give out an accurate data.
  7. Dude, Thai lpg pro, Ariya can hit her 3 wood 280 yards not down hill. This Jordan shot 280 yards carry and his ball speed was 165 mph. Live in Thailand? Go check out Ariya practice at Photalai driving range.
  8. Didn't want to bring this up but just wanna show some proof that Jordan can hit 3 wood 280yards without swinging his shoes off. Trackman don't lie.
  9. Pros do hit longer than on stats. I can tell you by playing along side them on pro-am from experienced first hand.
  10. This was taken in the locker room when Jordan played in Singapore. Real play is more important than stats. He is capable of hitting 3 wood 280 yards total not carry. Confirmed by a tour player that played with him that day. You are stating that he can only hit it 250-260 yards total distance. This is not quite accurate. Better control maybe at 260 but he is capable of getting total 280 yards that's for sure. Tour issue head has special weighting screw that retail doesn't have. They don't have to hot melt it. It would change feel and CG. I'll take a close up pic of the tour issue once I get to play with my tour pro mate.
  11. From the data published here Bubba's driver is at 44.5 inch Graffaloy Protoytpe X loft 9 at D4 SW.
  12. It doesn't surprise me one bit. It's interesting to see how better players, the tour pros specifically, used shorter length driver and able to get swing weight to D2-D4. This cause havoc to better players who don't have access to tour issue driver head. Most head especially JDM are so light that building one in D2-D4 with a 44.4-45.5 inch quite impossible. Tour issue head may be made from the same place as retails, they are measured and modified to tour spec.

With your swing speed at 110 mph and you said you carry the ball 290 yards (270m), I don't think you can improve much. You are maxing out your smash factor. Carrying at 290 yard with swing speed only 110mph is huge. I have the 435ii (crazy not jBeam but exact same head) and didn't like it. It's low launch but not low spin. I ended up with a ballon flight as well. Epon 103 is a short driver. If you want more forgiveness and need to be Epon, go for 504dj or AF 105. JBeam Glorious also a very good driver. Very forgiving and long. Both the 435ii and 103 aren't low spinning head, thus the ballon ball flight.
  14. 280yard 3 wood for Jordan, why not? He hit 8 iron 180 yards. 3 wood nowadays go as far as driver. his head speed on trackman is around 115mph ball speed 170s. His 3 wood trackman number wouldn't far off from driver. 110mph with ball speed 160s is easy 280 yards (total distance not carry). Impossible for Jordan to avg 3 wood at 250 yards. He hit his hybrid 240s yards.
  15. DJ's stat. He ranked #1 at 317.7 yards. He plays M2 shafted with Speeder 661 X flex at D3 swing weight 45inch loft 10.5. Golf Style mag has more in depth data than PGA tour. Interesting to see that all pros' driver are mostly at 44-45.5 inch at D2-D4 swing weight. Number 1 in shaft on tour is Mitsubishi at 44, 2nd is Aldila at 41 3rd is fujikura at 41. Mitsubishi series is KuroKage and Aldila is the Rouge. Both play very similar. Rouge is a stiffer in feel. Distance rank difference we are seeing is with a yard to 2 here. Jordan at 291.8yards rank 78th while Ricky rank 39th at 296.8 yards. Not that drastic differences but ranking is cramp up on the top. Brendon Todd ranked 176th at 276.4 yards.
  16. Jordan isn't short but not ultra long like DJ, Jason Day or Bubba. He's 290 yards average. He uses Aldila Rouge for his driver shaft on the 915 D2. DJ hits his 3 wood 300+ yards.
  17. I don't own AF-203. I have demo it countless of times. Wanted get a complete Epon set, 203 just won't work. Too short and not forgiving. This 205 is different. Easier to hit and long.
  18. PXG goes for the masses. They endorse top PGA tour players. They also marketed in where the US is lacking which is premium line up. Boutique JDM goes for the niche, I also find them kinda fall short on newer tech. Craftsmanship is without a doubt top class.
  19. I think JDM boutique golf market is saturated. Too many of them out there yet so little in personalities and performance differences. Designers from one brand migrate to the next and carry his/her DNA along isn't good for the market. Now we have 2 Crazy-like brand, TRPX and Crime Angel. JBeam is now a major JDM boutique OEMs further confuses the market. Rebranding its head like the Glorious, makes its own product line even more confusing. Now we have the new Crime Angel head, aka Glorious, which is indeed a head that's a couple of years' model old. To be safe, can't go wrong with the big 3, Fujikura, Tour AD and Mitsubishi, they are and will always be in top of their tech and performance. Back in the days, almost all JDM brand uses "Prototype" and now the trend is Gothic artwork with everything JBeam head. 7D is a different beast, it doesn't fit into boutique brand. 7D is the top of the top golf shaft.
  20. The lasted TRPX shaft that is top notch is El Dorado. As stable as the X-Line but easier to use. Like I said, Crazy before the scandals was at their prime. All their line ups pave the way for premium boutique JDM golf brand world wide. I haven't try Loop but heard lots of good reviews on it. IMO, this Crime Angel has nothing unique in both design and brand. Who knows, it could be good.
  21. Surprised to see Abe left TRPX. This Crime of Angel is like a rebranding of Crazy or TRPX. Seems nothing special.
  22. Evo II shaft is too soft especially the tip. I would do better in X flex. Shaft may play a major role here for the distance but very few JDM do forged titanium in a compact size FW.
  23. I have Ryoma FW. It's too bulky and huge and too upright. I think they try to make it more upright for draw bias, for a better player is a disaster. Cannot get a perfect contact on a too upright head. This AF205 is just perfect. Head is similar to S-yard XV FW. It may seem deep but I think it's perfect. Not too deep to hit off the deck. 296 yards of the deck is unreal of for me. The longest FW I hit is Taylormade M1 but af205 is much further. Not many FW are made of forged titanium especially this compact size. Can't say much. I have to game it on course.
  24. It's for all type of golfers. Very forgiving. Deep face is not a problem at all. I hit balls off the deck and it launches with a mid trajectory. Post-Kobayashi Epon is getting better and better. I wonder who is the lead designer. The demo is built at D2 swing weight with a 65g shaft.
  25. Address position and launch data. Evo II is a great shaft.
