Sweet now you can buy those copper 302s you've been wanting!!!
  2. I went with black...boring I know and all my other grips on everything are orange (Go Illini) but couldn't bring myself to put an orange grip on a classic blade putter. Thought about the steel blue but figured I couldn't go wrong with black.
  3. Ordered cabretta tour thanks guys
  4. For me it is all confidence and a putter's look, setup, and feel. Everyone talks about SBST, arc, toe hang, etc. I tend to adapt quickly to different styles but perhaps if I was a pro I would stick with one and really perfect my swing style. I don't think it is so cut and dried on swing type versus putter type. A decent player with some feel with be able to make putts with a variety of styles in my opinion. I have tried most every type and found that in general, I lag way better with blade style putters than I do with mallets. On the other hand, my short putts are more true with mallets on flatter greens. On undulating greens, I make more with a blade. But at the end of the round, I find essentially no difference on the score card regardless of putter style. Now within styles there is a large difference. I had a brief affair with a Miura KM-350 late this summer in which I lagged perhaps the best I ever have in my life, but I was worthless on short putts and it seemed to keep getting worse the longer I had it. The ultra small head and short toe length had me subconsciously changing my swing and becoming way too handsy. It got to a point where I had more of a chance of sinking a 25' putt than a 7' putt it seemed. I also had a Rife 2 bar mallet for a season that was the Miura equivalent of mallet putters. Just couldn't do anything well with it, and it messed me up for a while going forward. I have never been more of a believer of choosing a club based on looks and confidence than what I am now. It is the exact principle that steers me away from clubs with large offset, chunky toplines, busy designs, etc.
  5. I can't hit any putter so might as well use the ones I like to look at!
  6. Wow those are startlingly similar to the Vokey's even down to the placement of every logo/graphic/number/nomenclature on the wedge.
  7. Well now you're just picking nits....
  8. As they come, they go... This is a great putter, but I am going to stick to blades. The Eggs are the least likely things to go but if they do I will let you know.

  10. Well we BOTH work from home so she sees the mailman trudging up the walk with a distinctive shaped parcel from her second story office window. Busted. I watch tracking and day before it hits the PO, pop in the hold mail request then run to town and pick it up later. I live outside a small town so FedEx and UPS shipments come via USPS. If you want you can have T send them here and I can give them a thorough evaluation while you're gone. Once you're back I can discreetly ship in a FTD box.
  11. There is less of a difference between R and S in the Aeros as anything I have ever seen. I was swinging 88-89 avg with some up to 93 mpg and getting GREAT results from R Aeros but we went heavier and stiffer to bring flight/spin down some. Dispersion wise and feel the Rs were great, if you don't need help bringing the ball down I see no reason not to go R if you swing a 6i at less than 88 MPH.
  12. That's funny. Every time I ship something to someone seems I send it to their work address or a buddy's house. I just file an online "hold mail" request when I know something is coming then pick up at PO.
  13. The core group of regulars needs to be something NOT cavity back, I've got same ball flight issues as you do RI. Buckwheat said it best, "I been wookin' pa nub in all da wong pwaces."
  14. I've got an iomic large (small for a large) laying here maybe I ought to just use it. Can always change later. Really was thinking leather though. Hmm
  15. On my iPhone, do those have a D shape to them like stock putter grips ? Like a flat front on mine
  16. Proof that feel is so subjective to individuals. I don't think the i110S feels anything near as stout as a PX 6.5 or a C-Taper. Lot of people say Aerotechs play stiff, but I guess I don't notice it. An i110S falls between modus S and X to me. Some people love C Tapers and I hate them. To each their own. It's all in how you load the shaft and what feel you're looking for.
  17. What Gripmaster model are you guys using on blade putters? I like at least a midsize grip. Got a blade putter I want to throw this on for a traditional look but their selection is pretty daunting.
  18. I could see how someone could long for these in that manner!
  19. Actually, a Ho by definition would rapidly move from one to the next with little remorse. Which pretty much sums me up. Now if I had an unlimited supply of money, 12 month golf season, an understanding spouse, and a hoarder mentality, I'd be Stew, Jr. But since I am constrained by each of those items listed, I have to make sacrifices. I simply don't have a collector or hoarder mentality...if I am not using something, its gone, gone, onto the next one.... Well drive up here and swing them lol. I don't notice much of a difference if any at all in feel or sound. They just look way cooler. Guess if no one bites I will keep them and get them redone to suit me better.
  20. Actually Modus 3 and Aerotech feel somewhat similar and have similar ball flight. Strong launch but maybe a bit higher, soft feel. Aerotech will player stiffer to flex than Modus 3. Aerotech a bit longer and more vibration absorption. But both are a great feel shaft with strong mid-high ball flight. Aerotech slightly better dispersion for me too. If cost were no option I would go Aero for sure but depending on actual cost differences the incremental improvements over the M3 may not be worth it to some.
  21. I love the clubs I am just over committed right now and not looking to stockpile sets....
  22. Someone buy them before I lapse out of this moment of clarity I'm having.
  23. I really hate to let these go but I have a bunch of other stuff, both here and in the works, these would need a reworking to make them playable for me....and it snowed last night. Reality of winter sets in. Beautiful, unique set of irons. Fact of the matter is, as much as I like the 302s, there are irons that set up better FOR ME, and I can't let these sit here collecting dust when someone else can enjoy them. Standard LLL Modus 3 S, spined and built by Epon. Red GP wrap grips Custom Epon marble ferrules Copper finish Great Condition SOLD shipped PP gifted US. Overseas shipping at actual cost to be paid by recipient. (Pics coming) Thanks for looking!!!
  24. It's cheaper to buy new bionic arms than get into ho'ing carbon iron shafts for joint issues. ;)
