  1. Played 1 round and had a couple of range sessions with it. Distance does not fit in with the rest of my bag - was slightly too long and getting near my woods. Excellent condition with very slight marks. Head Only with headcover SOLD
  2. Last try. $400 shipped for this bomber
  3. Epon irons SOLD!
  4. Still available!

  6. A few more thoughts after having spent a bit more time with this driver. The forgiveness is great. I'm sure the X-Line shaft plays quite a big part in it. One of the most stable shafts I've tried and it does an amazing job keeping the ball in the fairway. Managed to hit 12/14 fairways on my last game and was confident enough to pull out driver on every hole including a really narrow fairway that I normally use an iron or utility for. So far though, NOT as long as my old jBeam + DJ-6x combo. On my usual courses, it's around 10 meters or so shorter on clean strikes. Could be due to the lack of roll I'm getting as the course is getting wetter at this time of the year. From what I read, other users seem to be getting quite a bit of roll and I'm not seeing that even though launch seems penetrating enough. Will be tinkering about with the weights to try to get a slightly higher launch and hopefully more carry.
  7. Further price drop!
  8. Just received my TRPX club today and had to sneak out early from dinner to have a go at it. Some initial observations after around 50 balls at the range: I'm a mid hcap (fluctuates between 11-13) with a swing speed typically between 102-110. Driver used to be a big strength of my game, but has been very erratic of late. Misses are a horrible snap hook that usually end up OB or to the next fairway. Finally went back to the trusty old Titleist 905R and resorted to playing a fade off the tee. Accuracy has gone up now, but I feel like I'm leaving behind quite a bit of distance. Messed around with a whole bunch of USDM and JDM drivers, with the TRPX being the latest. Specs: 10deg D-013 with X-Line Stiff flex. Square faced and plays to 44.75". 320g. Distance: Couldn't really tell for sure in the dark, but initial impression is that this is long. Longest driver I've played so far was probably the jBeam 435 + DJ-6x, which goes to around 230m on clean strikes at the range with normal range balls. The TRPX looks like it might be there or thereabouts. Trajectory: Amazing. I loved the ball flight I saw. Initial impression I got was that it is quite sensitive to tee height. Teed it low and had a low penetrating trajectory; teed it higher and slightly further forward and was hitting the ball a lot higher with no ballooning. Forgiveness: Outstanding. Felt like I could get away with pretty bad swings with this club. My misses are usually on the toe or low on the face and as far as I could tell, it still went pretty well with both types of misses. Feel: Nice explosive feel to the head. Only issue I might have with it is that feedback appears to be limited - all the shots felt pretty similar across the face. Shaft: Probably my favourite part of the club. The X-Line felt amazingly stable for me. Still went left once or twice when I went after it, but otherwise it more or less eliminated the left side for me. Overall, am very impressed with this club. Will take some time to get used to it and get everything dialed in, but initial impressions are that it is a very solid club and could well be my gamer for a long time to come. Just hope that it is not a honeymoon period. Got an important game tomorrow morning with a bit of money and a lot of bragging rights on the line, and I'll be happy to take this out. Thanks for the great recommendations T!
  9. Head covers sold. Price drop for remaining items!
  10. Thanks! Pity I couldn't find the right shaft to go with it. Price dropped for jBeam head. Added Epon 701 and iron covers
  11. 2. jBeam 435 10 deg SOLD!
  12. Looking for a new driver for no good reason other than that the ho in me is acting up again. Am most intrigued by the newer offerings - Ryoma Maxima or S Yard XV, but would also consider a Ryoma V Spec if price is right. Preferably 10.5 loft and head only. Headcover would be good as well. Do PM me with more details and your asking price if you have one for sale. Cheers

This thing's a bomber and am really in love with it. But SR was a bit too soft for me. Moving on to a stiff flex. Very good condition, and comes with the original headcover. SOLD
  15. I just picked up a 388 in 10.5 loft and had a go at it last evening. Couple of thoughts on the driver about 30 shots in. Everything worked as advertised. As far as I could see, there was a beautiful piercing trajectory and the ball just kept going. Can't really tell if it was longer than my previous gamer or not in the dark, but it felt explosive and long. I also liked the smaller head - made me really focus on every shot. Kind of like hitting a 3w off the tee. The big 460cc heads that I got used to probably provide a bit too much security and as a result, some complacency in the swing. No such problems here, and most of my shots went straight with a slight draw. Out of 30 shots as far as I can recall I had 2 hooks (my usual miss), and a couple more at the start that I topped while trying to find a right height to tee the ball at. Not too bad for a first outing. Last thing I'd say is that the shaft plays a huge difference with this club. Had previously hit my buddy's one with a Crazy 8.7 flex shaft (too stiff for me) and the head felt absolutely dead; was hitting wormburners the whole day. Compared to a Ryoma where the club is still playable and decent with a wrong shaft, not the case here. On the 388 I currently have it in SR flex, feels slightly too soft and S might be a better fit for me. But no complaints with the stock shaft - really works well with the head. Will spend more time with it over the weekend and see how it goes. For reference, my swing speed is anywhere from 105-110 nowadays. Play to around a 13 handicap. Usually a decent driver of the ball though and hit the fairways most of the time. First impressions are that this could be the one.
  16. Dammit. PM sent Mark.

As above, keen to give these shafts a go if anyone is selling. Looking at 5-p minumum, 4-p would be ideal. 95g and f4 flex. Cheers
