  1. Another true beauty, D. !
  2. Drop dead gorgeous! Bet they roll sweet, too.
  3. I saw a few online. Would love to see your collection, Chris, if you feel like posting.

SOLD PayPal USD Overseas shipping extra.
  5. Jimmie -- can I ask, are you in the golf equipment business?
  6. I know what you mean. Hey, any chance you've also played and could compare these blades to Miura baby's or A-Grind R1's? I've never had a chance to hit the Crazy's, and would be curious. Thx.
  7. Agree it's a cool kind of funky looking. Might even be funkadelic with that shallow face... <g> I'd be curious if those score lines would be more apt to produce a draw with that slant in them. What's the shaft weight, Chris?
  8. Not surprised it's gone. Agree with you -- a beauty all around.

Thanks, Chris, main gamers are still the A-Grind R-1 blades. They stay in the bag no matter what I throw at them. Just love everything about them -- feel, sound, looks, accuracy, distance. Ako-san definitely has my number(s). But the MP55 still sneaks in as long iron choice every now and then. Still think it's quietly under-appreciated, fabulous CB. For the life of me, can't figure what the deal is with the Miura CB1008. I can't remember the last time I literally couldn't hit a ball with an iron. But this one chunks, shanks, and embarrasses me. Does make a nice paper weight on my desk though -- it's beautiful looking... ;=]
  10. Hey, Chuck, got to put in a word for the A-Grind blades. They fit your description to a T, and they merge seamlessly with the CB's if you should choose to add any to the mix. I maintain these are way under appreciated clubs with delicious feel, great accuracy, and an understated elegant look that I just don't grow tired of.
  11. The 7 didn't do it for me. Prefer the Black by far.
  12. I'd very much like to hear a playing review. Hope you go for it, S.
  13. To each his own, my friend.
  14. I know many of us were taken with the look of Takai-san's design work on his Itobori grind irons. The artistry and care for detail are immediately striking, as is his totally hand held craftsmanship evident in the videos posted from his studio. I had to find out if the feel matched the fine look, so I ordered up a couple of custom wedges through Chris: a 56-onset and my cherished 64 lob magic secret weapon, both in the smoked copper look I've come to love, slightly refined by the Master to let more copper show through around the edges. Well, I played them for the first time this week, and the verdict is in for me: these things are not only magnificent looking, they play wonderfully. The S25 is as soft as one would expect, just buttery and crisp. Sound is that magic clip that I'm always looking for from a wedge, changed to a soft pffft when the face is opened up. Out of sand, both were like hot swords cutting through rare beef. Great spin around the greens, even out of some rough Kikuya and thicker than normal collars we have at my home course. Impact is sometimes so soft as to feel non-existent, but it was point, aim, and shoot all day. Half swings, full swings, chips, pitches -- it was special delivery from all kinds of lies and circumstances. In short, the feel is the same as the look -- elegant, precise, max performance from high end design and craftsmanship. Probably going to have to go for some more... Here are a few pics:
  15. A-Grind DST. Like all of Ako-san's clubs, a quiet, elegant gem with beautiful feel, sound, looks, AND easy distance. Would match well with any shaft.
  16. Took the words out of my mouth, Ian. ;=]
  17. Looks like kind of a copy of Mizuno's MP55 -- which I have to say has just a wonderful feel for a CB.
  18. Agreed. Some playing reviews would be nice. (I do have some wedges on the way... ) But looks-wise, man, this guy is an artist.
  19. I've played both and the one that is tailored for my swing definitely feels better in my hands no matter what kind of day I'm having off the tee. And only one of these two is tailored to your swing...

Yes, I use the Frequency Filtered shaft from UST. Combined with the soft face of the P3, it's an unbelievable feel. Nothing else has ever come close for me, to be honest.
  21. I felt that way, Steven, until I sat in one of these. It's pretty special, and the drive is awesome.
