Fujikura having PGA tour dominance for many years should tell you something and I don't think Fujikura pays anyone to use the product. 757, SIX and Pro 95 set the standard for excellence IMHO. The new Zcom series is money. I was just talking with Joe about the MW and BW series earlier today. Lots of tour players using these. Granted there are other companies making high quality product. Accra, Mitsubihsi, Aldila etc but not one company has the breath of product like Fujikura. 53 shafts not counting all the tour only stuff. High, mid and lower end to fit any player. I think Fujikura will continue to innovate and dominate the US PGA tour and the US market in general. My .02

I think he is talking about re-sale value being so low, most people who buy $1250.00 sets of irons sell them for at least $900+. Have to admit I'm a little stumped as well. If I bought a set of irons for that price, you can rest assured that I've already ascertained their resale value to be at least $900. The fact that there are barely used sets available for $500 or less is truly surprising. I can't comment on Scratch irons per se as I've never owned a set but that kind of depreciation can't be good for business. At $1250 retail wouldn't that mean that cost is in the $500-600 range? If so, Ari should indeed buy back any sets for less than $500! It is all about percieved value. The problem is the same regardelss, Scratch, Blade, Traditional etc. Small boutique club companies equipment takes a huge hit on resale. While the quality may be as good or better than a big OEM, there is no name recognition. Even Muira which has a big name in the industry does not resell well relative to purchase price. KZG is another example. Figure to lose 50% at least.

Chris, Are the irons stamped 2mm throughout the set? I'm assuming there are no other stamps or "etchings" on the irons. Let me know. JC

nothing is 100% but no serial number, original callaway ferrule and the callaway tour ID band on the shaft is a good start

Rare. Typically the 2mm Lehman will be stamped TL2mm on all the irons. I've also seen one set without any stamps.

The B and C etc are just batch numbers. Not something to worry about. The Txxxxx is what you need to see. Also, the 540 XD TP head can easily be differentiated from retail by comparing the 2 heads near the weight port area.

The T60 if the crown does not have the alignment aid is by far the most sought after out of what you listed. I would say $500 minimum and could be worth a lot more to the right buyer. The other stuff does not carry the premium price that you might expect. Now if you had the Miura made forged split or full cavity backs that would be another story.

Hey Joe, I saw in another thread about 300 forged you mentioned the Asian satin finshes. I agree with you 100%. The TM rac tour stuff has a very unique subtle satin finish. Did the "T" etched sets you worked on have the same finish as seen on the rac coin forged milled face sets? The finish looked different to me in the pics when I first saw them on bsg but I have never seen a set in person.

The comparison pics are great and actually make the models appear more similar than they really are. The clubs look very different in person. I need to mic them as well. I think the cavity is more shallow on the box toe and the top line is certainly thicker. I would be surprised to find out it was not a different head compared to the std 300 forged. Regardless, the 300 box toe is the best forged players CB of all time IMHO

Thats the issue, the weight's are all FU, thats why they have the Treasure Stamp "T" That does not make a lot of sense to me. I've had a number of true TM tour Miura sets. Really tight tolerances on the gram weights. Why would Miura be supplying TM with imperfect speced sets? I am confused.

The R7 might seem like old news by TM standards but the numbers clearly show it is the most played driver on the PGA tour. We're not talking struggling mini tour players. These guys are playing for hundreds of thousands of dollars every week. I'm sure most of them use what works regardless of tee up money

the term "tour issue" gets abused all over including ebay and the message boards. Obviously the biggest draw would be a PGA tour issed club from a name player. Could this one be tour? Possibly but more likely a rep sample. I've seen so much abuse of the system over the years it does not even phase me anymore. The really sad part is when you see ebay sellers peddling garbage and having perfect feedback. Just goes to show how little the buying public knows about authenticity

970 is a classic. not hard to hit for a skilled player. I have had just about every tour 3 wood you can think of and the 970 is a great choice if you want a no nonsense, high cog, great looking, super solid and loooong 3 wood. ss-03 gets a big thumbs up also Cleveland tour launcher is what I currently play and these are ridiculously good. Just got a txxxx tour 13 titanium that is a cannon but my 13 steel pro 95 x is the benchmark. Callaway makes great fairway woods. I think the older models are better than the newer. Another big thumbs up on the tour s2h2 and SH+. I like the sh III and 2004 BB as well just not quite as much as the others
