I just recieved information that there are pics of Fred Couples 300 irons in Golf Digest 10/02 and Golf Classic 07/03 showing NS stamped in upper case. It appears that I f**ked up. These irons look to be genuine. Just goes to show you that no matter how much you think you know, you can never know it all. I exibited poor judgement by posting that these were fakes without doing the proper due diligence. Cory, please accept my appology. I cannot tell by simply looking at the grooves on the oil quenched Fe2O3. The 2 dots are the only indicator. I am amazed that people claim to be able to differentiate the 2. I must need glasses. The best guarantee is the y stamp on the face. Of course somebody with a little know how could counterfeit that as well. Let's hope it never gets to that point. By FAR the easiest one to fake would be the Fe2o3 oil quenched or for that matter a 304 stainless without the y stamp. Just a matter of 2 little dots drilled on the hosel and obviously there are tons of retail OC Fe2O3 available because the oil quenched just never took off. Nobody used the OC on tour either which is why you saw them being dumped in huge quantity on ebay earlier this year. There certainly are plenty of genuine tour oc Fe2O3 availabe. Just another case where you need to trust the seller 100%. If your buying a 304ss, the worst case scenario is that it is not a y groove but at least it still has tour box grooves.

Black Y cutters for the public? That would be sweet. Only problem is they would still be RAC wedges :yuk: Hey at least most of the pros who are under contract with TM use them. Give me Cleveland or Vokey any day.

I need a couple things. Nothing critical but figured I'd take a shot. dancing cameron red grip- could use 1 or 2 for my personal tour cameron putters. VERY long shot- 7,8,9,and pw lehman grind 300 irons. I would even take just a 7 iron. or just a pw. VERY,VERY long shot- ns stamped 300 forged 5 iron unground Cally x tours 2-pw Player Tei3 newport or classic newport gun blue.
