  1. Tungsten was added into the holes bringing the weight up to 370 grams
  2. J Beam did produce the D013 and S013 for TRPX so they share the same DNA, but the 535 is completely different in every dimension, at every angle and gravity point. There is no new "technology" in most drivers now days, just different flavors.
  3. For those who don't know. This club is a beast! easy to hit and super long. a 21* will out fly most 18's no problem.
  4. I can find a few used sets, but they cost more than TSG was closing these out brand new. We had these at 695.00 5-PW 6 months ago, where was everyone? Now we have that deal on the Nabla Tour which is outstanding but I think everyone will want those 6 months from now when they are all gone ;)
  5. Mizuno's New MP-Craft Driver - Just called the MP Craft now Mizuno MP-15 Forged Iron Mizuno MP-T5 Wedges Mizuno MP-H5 Forged Irons
  6. Last year I visited the Maldives in the North and South and it ranks as one of my favorite trips ever. What I enjoyed most was that there is nothing to do so you really have no choice but to slow the brain. The islands we were on took no more than 15 minuted to walk around entirely. Very few people around. My biggest passion, yes even more than golf is salt water corals and this has been the best diving spot I have ever been, the south had all the corals, the north had the whale sharks and giant manta's. Very few American's in the Maldives because of the the distance. We did a couple that took 52 hours to get there. yet at the same time our expat friends living in thailand got there in 6 hours. Another highlight was while having drinks on the island I ran into a fellow TSG'er Vertigo88 on his honeymoon Such a nice guy! Enjoy the pics, if you ever go I can make some good recommendations! If your wondering why/how we travel so much we also have a company that does marketing for hotels such as Park Hyatt, Oberoi, and Four Seasons so they really hook it up, these trips are subsidized in many cases.
  7. Glad your enjoying your driver and especially the Quadra TPV many of our aggressive swingers are loving this shaft.
  8. All modart clubs have high CG locations and low spin and while this UT looks shallow it too has a very high CG giving it a penetrating trajectory while still being easy to get in the air.
  9. These shafts are new so not much feedback on them. All I can say is they do the job especially for the price. I don't have the time to compare them to all these shafts at the moment but over time more info will be provided especially from our members. They are selling very well right now.
  10. I think it's fair to note that this head is heavy thus the swing weight, has nothing to do with the shaft.
  11. USDM brands often invest in the things that have a bigger impact on marketing over performance. We all know shafts matter, we all know that head materials and manufacturing matter, we all know new technology is important yet so many USDM brands skimp out in those areas, true? Now look at all the things that don't work that they implement. Aerodynamics on a driver does what again? give 10 more yards? no it doesn't, but for the first 3 months the Ping driver comes out miraculously people will see the 10+ yard gain then by the time something newer comes out that 10yd gain somehow vanished. How is the air shepherd not aero or the PRGR's? JDM brands innovate but USDM brands are not willing to pay for those upgrades unless they can be seen or marketed to joe public and that's really the bottom line. There are too many examples about how USDM brands target the consumers brain and not the players performance.
  12. I would say yes its the successor to the 435, It does feel better too. Just great all around driver I gotta hand it to JBeam as over the years they have made some of our favorites here on TSG Crazy 435 Jbeam 425 Tour Jbeam 435 They made TRPX This 535 The Glorious is fantastic in custom spec If you think about all the above drivers I like each for a different feeling and it's really tough to say one is better than the other, I can't say it because they are all unique. the 425Tour omg.
  13. Playing offset irons is refreshing, few do it but it's been a big part of the history of JDM irons, the dreaded gooseneck with rounded transition, and while they may be ugly it's still a blast to hit and on some occasions peoples scores might actually lower. It;s a shape that may never become popular outside of Japan.
  14. MUSO shaft sales have been picking up with many happy customers not believing how a shaft this well made of such high end materials can be so inexpensive and perform so well. Did I mention it's made in Japan 100%? The truth is that Geotech has always kept to a particular formula for pricing that often their competitors are not so happy about. In this case it's MUSO Shafts, take the XDB 65 S for example as it's made of full length Japanese 50T with a mid section reinforced with 90T. Looking for a shaft with similar materials and your in the 800+ range but the XDB is only $165 in the proshop! there are a total of 6 shafts available in the MUSO line up Blue Standard Muso Shaft - ( soon to be discontinued ) White XDB White XDB FW Silver XL Silver XL LD I'm still hitting them and getting familiar with them but initial thoughts are very promising. If this were an $800 shaft I would say it's good, but as a sub 200 shaft its fantastic. notes: - feels firm and true to flex - XDB has a tight dispersion - feel is a little boardy if the flex is too stiff but when I went a flex down from my normal it reminds me of the strong kick the Axiv's have. - mid/low trajectory with good roll - somewhat reminds me of the DI-6 Anyway still working with them and trying to find the clubs and time to test them all. Pics below Enjoy!
  15. They play outstanding, for me they are even better than the Buchi customs which are a close second place.
  16. Well that answers it, if Epon is using "offset" the P2 got more offset than the others and matches the wedge. I will say that offset is often a blessing when it comes to club design and while I understand how the better player just can't stand it, I have seen time and time again performance change for the better once a little offset is added. In this case the offset is too much.
  17. Higher FP numbers mean less offset, so this iron has the least offset of the bunch.
  18. It took a while but they have arrived. 52 / 58 sets ( can't be split ) Shaft - Modus 3 130 Stiff Flex Grip - Modart Black 60R Finish - Plated Satin Stamping - Standard Length - Standard Lie - Standard Bounce 52/8 58/10 Swing Weight - D3 Offset - Almost Zero Price is 1150.00 shipped for the set of 2 wedges. Only 3 sets left!
  19. Email me at [email protected] if you need one now. What's odd is they only sell this putter head only, Being that Crazy is almost next door we just have them assemble it and ship it out.
  20. The BL is smaller than the 302, no doubt about it. BL is a touch smaller than the Nabla Tour if I remember correctly. Nabla Tour is smaller than the 302. I like the Nabla Tour a little more than the BL for the extra forgiveness. The feel is in between TourStage and OnOFF.
  21. That's exactly what this is, It's the Kamui Works driver with a busier sole in a new finish for more money. The putters while nice in shape are busy and way overpriced. Not what i consider a true brand, they need their own designs.
  22. We are jacking this thread, I'll start a poll with 4 options and let you guys choose, whatever the case all roads lead to something good.
  23. 2014 J-Beam RX FW Many outside of TSG are not familiar with the brand J-Beam but someone needs to tell those folks they make some of the best woods in JDM land. The 535 is our top selling driver at the moment, especially in custom specs. If you haven't seen it yet here's a link to the thread: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/37063-j-beam-535-driver-thread/ I'm playing this RX-FW now with a Muso 75FW in stiff and have been giving it a good run, it produces a mid trajectory with low spin and excellent feel, this has gotta be in the top 5 woods out today, I'm just going to list what my favorites are in no particular order Modart MA01F ONOFF TS358 & F358 J-Beam RX-FW Royal Collection 306V Ryoma F5 w/ 3 wood length Planning on building a 17.5 at 43" next. Only 2 rounds into this head at the moment. Expecting good things over the next few. Enjoy the pics!
