Why does this Wedge Design work?
Thought of ANT and RIDuffer after hitting this wedge. After the conversation on the Bold's design I know I can always count on these guys to analyze new gear. Here's one that caught me off guard. Had it in the workshop for a while shafted with no grip uncut NS1150 is what it was attached to. I wanted to give this wedge a try since I saw it I just didn't get around to it. Now that I have I'm blown away, with higher lofts I tend to pull left but with this one shots that would normally start and go left were much straighter. Not sure if its the head, the shaft, or what. This is just 2 rounds in so maybe it was just an ON couple of days for me but I'm pretty impressed especially by the way it looks from above and that it seems to produce a little more spin than the average wedge. Looks like it has a little onset which is something that G.Takei has always done. The sole is nice, classy, thin, simple. The finish going from brushed to chrome is cool looking. The face has very light mill marks. I think this would be a fantastic wedge in a raw finish as well.

Modified Odyssey JDM Putter by Gold's Factory
I'm always switching putters once one goes flat on me, or me on it. In rotation for a long time has been a custom 2 ball center shaft, a RomaRo Barque center shaft, and recently the Odyssey Black Series Tour iX anser putter. I always send my putters into Sasaya-san at Gold's Factory not only for aesthetic mods but also balance and spec adjustments. Master Sasaya always adjusts the face angle, lie, loft, shaft, grip and balance of a putter. This Odyssey putter was an interesting challenge for him. Its part tungsten and 303 with an insert. So the putter was taken apart worked over well and sent to the finisher. I'm very happy with the results a couple of rounds in. The putter started as a 340g head and now its near the requested 370. The insert is made of two layers, Aluminum and German Silver, Master Sasaya recommended this for interesting firm/soft feel.

SYARD XV Review
How this go? It's a solid club, interesting too like the 388. Not sure which one I prefer to hit. Ya know a couple of my friends with slower swing speeds had a hard time getting the ball into the air with the XV yet could launch ok with the 388. I found that strange and my fades are slightly bigger on the XV than the 388 but the XV keeps the left out for me a little better than the 388. All with both @45" + Boron Stiff.

Clueless Titleist Rep.
I've run into my fare share of clueless reps. More than once they would "suggest" that these could be fake but they are not sure, even after you tell them all about it and that its legit. On the other hand I have met some reps that are blown away and stay in contact to see what the latest stuff coming down the pipeline is. I guess it really does come down to passion and the love of great gear.

Crazy CAVITY BACK irons
That head is open model, not available any longer as well. Prob the best shaped version any company has made using this one.

You Guess the Wedge.. You GET IT!!
ha! Good on you for guessing correctly, you seemed pretty confident that you had the right answer.

face progression... blades
IMO you don't need a grinder or an iron with no offset, a little bit of offset is a good thing for forgiveness and performance. With a 0 offset club you must be precise and square at impact. A little bit of offset gives you that split second extra to get the face to square or turn it over. Yoro Mizuno or Buchi would be a good custom route to take. TourStage, Miura, Srixon are worth a look as far as OTR options go. Going to a grinder and asking them to shave an area or angle a grind so it looks thin may not work. They will have certain limitations just as Miura, Mizuno or Tabuchi would have with the orig mold. Most OEMs won't go to 0 because they know the forgiveness would be diminished. Find a head that looks the part, then make sure you have the loft, lie, length, swing weight, grip size, flex & weight proper.

Any reviews yet on the George Spirits MONO GT455 driver yet?
Yes sorry just not enough play time with it yet using other shafts. I think I can have my opinion by mid next week. Off to play a round now. Today it's got the CB46 MoFo in it.

4 Drivers with the same shaft play differently
I guess I'm not running into that because these were new shafts.

4 Drivers with the same shaft play differently
4 Driver Heads - 4 Crazy Boron Stiff Shafts all at 45”. When assembled all shafts are within 3 cpm’s of each other. The normal 254-257 stiff flex range. Maxima 388 XV GS 455 GS 460 So a few things we noticed: In the 388 and XV the C.Boron plays the same while in the George Spirits heads and the Ryoma Maxima it loosens up in the tip a bit. I took one of the C.Boron shafts and tipped it a quarter of an inch and re installed into the maxima and it played closer to how it did in the SYDs, not sure if that made it better or worse.. The GS heads really woke up with C.Boron, Especially the 460. The 455 mono and the Maxima are noticeably similar in face shape & and the triangular shape from above is similar. The Crazy Boron is incredibly consistent. We have had a couple of top club builder clients tell us it’s the roundest and most consistent shaft they have seen. If the hosel depth is equal in 2 drivers the distance the hosel is from the head can still make the same shaft play very different. Check out the diagram below that Tario made I think it explains it pretty well.

Feedback on Yamaha V203 Inpres X Tour Driver
I have a buddy who lives nearby who has one and I re shafted it twice for him. I haven't gamed this a single round but have hit it quite a few times next to the 388. It's pure, long, beautiful yet also demanding. Compared to the 388 its a lot less forgiving imo. I'm not a great ball striker.

Finally.....S-Yard t388.

SYARD XV Review
I don't associate many TM or Ping drivers to be the benchmark of forgiveness Perhaps the Glorie Reserve? I consider the Ryoma D-1 and now Maxima to be the standard in forgiveness. The XV will play with less spin keeping the ball straighter, if you hit it off center you would get a more forgiving result. Less hook and slice. It is a players driver in setup, trajectory, and feel. Average golfers only need the right shaft to make it work.
