Royal Collection 105 V-Forged Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Those blades are the old ones from years back. -
Yes the 6 feels more lively and has very barely slightly higher spin. The 7 more stable and stout feeling imo.

Is the Ryoma the new king of Fairway woods
TourSpecGolfer replied to Craig's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
ha ha supo-fever! I'm almost on the same page there. For me the old egg goes the same distance as the new egg with a FW80 shaft and it could be that the old egg is longer but when you combine the forgiveness of the new egg with it's better than average distance I'm getting consistently longer shots. Also if your using that New Egg with crazy shaft I sold you keep in mind that's an SX and may be holding distance back. The Ryoma carries the same attribute as the driver to get up and flatten out instead of balloon, feels good, and is uber forgiving. When I had the stock shaft in it I would suffer on a windy day like chanaa mentioned, with the FW80 it's just about perfect no more high shots. That said even both the new and the old egg's ballooned for me with the stock shaft. I give credit to the Crazy FW80 shaft. If you like Royal Collection, Yonex ST or the Akira M15 you will absolutely love the ONOFF Type S FW. -
Taka-san Pro Golfer at Crazy HQ Video
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Love those graphics! I'm not buying the distance. Dustin Johnson is hitting his 3 wood 331 & Paul Casey hits his 6 iron 231yd's but only in promotional videos using their sponsors launch monitors. Joe Miller has the record of 230 with a 7 iron and the guy is a monster. -
Tatsuro get's fitted at the Crazy HQ in Japan!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes and not for him, He has a more aggressive tempo so the Royal Deco went a bit wild for him. Here's something very interesting and it applied to both Tatsuro and Taka-pro. They both started with X flex Royal Deco's and they the dispersion was pretty wide so they both kicked it down to S flex which is well below their normal flexes and it stabilized. Tatsuro was able to straighten it out going a flex softer while the faster swinger Taka-pro went to the R flex and then it really straightened out for him. This is very interesting as the RD is supposed to be a flex softer than other crazy models. I think that they were too aggressive for their own flex but stepping down 1-2 flexes compensated for the issue some how. Still trying to figure this out perhaps gocchin & tatz will step in here. -

That was just an example to get my point across. People adjust their swings for a variety of reasons that's all I'm sayin. -

Royal Collection 105 V-Forged Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I'll ask Tatsuro to chime in again but I know they are smaller not hefty at all. the heads are slightly heavier than the DB forged. In regards to the new TX, they didn't even know about them. what they had at the show are pure prototypes with no player or pro testing yet. I guess they pumped them out to put on display. That said im just gonna state my opinion on something, we tested the 105 V forged driver, ball goes everywhere for all 3 testers. It's the least forgiving 450cc driver I have ever hit. or any of us for that matter. The RC players TR woods are all about profile true players clubs not about forgiveness or ease of use it does require some muscle to put it down field with good carry. -

Crazy shaft fitted to rocketballz.......
TourSpecGolfer replied to mygreenaliem's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
We loved the Gloire! It was like a cross between the R11 & Epon 460ZR. feels sweet at impact too. 46" is good there are two versions one comes in 46". Wyvern is a good shaft just make sure it sounds like it fit's what your trying to do. -
Crazy shaft fitted to rocketballz.......
TourSpecGolfer replied to mygreenaliem's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It really depends on the player. Some golfers need to reduce spin big time so a different head would be suggested. Those who hit it straight and have no issues with spin we would gear toward a long bomber style head. It's all about getting it straight at the perfect velocity and trajectory. There are so many great one's out now and on the horizon. The populars here are Crazy, Kamui, and Ryoma. In the past lots of people praised Epon. I think that Yamaha is on to some great things and so is ONOFF. My latest bomber is the ONOFF D-Long with a 46.25" Crazy CB-46 although I am awfully interested in the PRGR 7 driver. So I guess you may want to start by talking about your current club and what changes you would like to see as far as your flight, trajectory, carry and roll is. -

Hopefully this answers your guy's questions. If you have more questions go ahead and post it here. We have also added the post to GTI (click here) -
I switched my order for the special tuning driver and went with a custom built Crazy 435II driver instead, I was mulling between that and the CRZ-450 head as I really miss that one. I suggest anyone who can't wait any longer do the same. I also picked up the weight kit and wrench for my Crazy Head. A handfull of things frustrated me: 1. They increased the retail price by around 300 bucks! ( dont worry TSG will foot the bill on those pre orders ) 2. If the face cracks they replace it with a conforming model...argh! or you pay like 400 bucks for another special tuning. ( I already have the conforming model! ) 3. The warranty is only good for 1 year and by the original purchaser of the club. 4. The delay was insane ( 3+ months!! ) Now they are saying mid April? %$*#&@! So those who switch like me free up a head for those who were on the waiting list. Maybe I will regret switching my order later but there are so many other drivers on the market I can get along great with like: - Crazy Driver - Kamui Custom - Titleist VG3 - TourStage 707 - ONOFF Type S or Type D-Long The weather is perfect here in Vegas, I'm not waiting a second longer.

Crazy shaft fitted to rocketballz.......
TourSpecGolfer replied to mygreenaliem's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I think it's the shaft and specs of the club matching your swing not the head. We tested the RBZ extensively while in Japan, It produced the same distance as the R11/R11S/R11J with same loft, shaft, and flex. We think the Gloire had better distance due to the increased head speed generated from a longer shaft. -
Royal Collection 105 V-Forged Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yup tonight I will be posting a blog post & video on GTI showing off the Pro line and all of RC's new products. -
Here's some pictures I took of the new Royal Collection 105 V-Forged Driver. I love the way it looked and the fact that it's forged It's a purest driver that looks small for 450cc's. Better yet it's made by Endo and incorporates a KS100 Ti body along with their amazing VL Titanium forged face. The crown is chemical milled another process Endo is famous for making it 0.35mm thin which allows forgiveness to be maximized with a lower CG point.

Size comparison between Epon, TourStage, and Miura

Here's some pics: -
dont hold your breath guy's it's super expensive no doubt. I'm sure the trackman is better but who the heck needs one of those. The small science eye does a pretty accurate job itself. I have also seen trackmans that are juiced as well.

Difference between Tourstage type m and j40 irons?
TourSpecGolfer replied to IshikawaFAN's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I'm not saying change the swing just make adjustments. Both pro's and amateurs adjust their technique to fit the club. The most common reason for the adjustment is usually an on course situation. fundamentally your swing stay's the same. If i'm hitting a 70 gram X flex shaft and move to a 50 gram R flex shaft I will make adjustments It's pretty common. -
