I forgot about those! The new VG3's coming in April wow I'm in line for those myself. A bit smaller than the ONOFF Forged and perhaps not as soft or buttery but I'm sure they will be perfect blend of size, forgiveness, and feel for my game.

Not mad or impatient I think. I already know what's in store for the 503 and personally would go with the 2011 ONOFF Forged built to my specs as they are softer, forgiving enough, with less of a goose neck. I know the 503 will be a hair more forgiving but it will have a bit more offset won't feel as pure at impact. Just my 2 cents.

Hand's down ONOFF, feel, setup, and hotter off the face. I think RC has lost the lead they had in fairway woods a couple years back. Their product still looks great and has a nice profile but performance wise it's just a par when stacked against Ryoma, PRGR, and ONOFF. I think that's what Shingo wanted. It's not nearly as clunky as the Ping Zing but we all thought the same thing, looks like a Ping! none the less It's the best darn ping look alike I've ever hit. It started as only 200 available worldwide now they are down to the last 50 or so, It's now or never! To stew the new Type-S FW & UT's are actually a nice upgrade over the Pro Spec & Labo Spec UT of last year, weighting and profile makes it a bit more forgiving. The UT feels like an evolution of the Labo Spec of last year but this FW seems totally different in terms of feel, hotness, and ease of use. Not too deep not too shallow everyone was raving about it at the show. New Proto shafts are exactly that, Only proto's not even Shingo has his yet. The ones you saw at the Roddio booth are still under development. They could just be production dummies at this point.

It's ONOFF's turn and I think equipment wise it's their best line up yet. First off the Type-S fairway wood is my new fav, I hit this and was shocked how hot off the face it is and it's feel made me shockingly happy. They really did a good job with this one, maybe not the most forgiving but for the purest looking for a pro style package this is as good as it gets. The Shingo Limited wedge was another one I didn't expect to enjoy so much the thing I liked most about it was how stupid easy it is to hit, ball go up and straight no problemo. The Endo made Type-S driver was a gem as well and Tatsuro's top pick of the players woods at the show. Lot's of great ONOFF product and more and more TSG customers are leaning that way due to the face and lie angle adjustments that can be done through our friends at the LABO SPEC department. What club is it going into & what is the clubs loft? On top of that it would help to know what you use now and what you want to change or improve along with you desire in the new setup.

You can't duplicate the smash factor and the ball speeds your seeing on the launch monitor if someone else is hitting it. For example I can hand pick a person who produces low spin and hits it on the screws with killer ball speeds using the worst performing driver against the average golfer using the best driver and based on the numbers you will think the poor performance driver is the better golf club. Another example is spin rates, many pro's have higher spin rates and hit it dead straight where as most better than average golfers require lower spin to hit it straight. Swing plane, Lag, and a ton of other factors can really change LM numbers. Don't let launch monitors mess with your head. I see players that hit it 125mph with 1300 rpm spin rates that can't hit a fairway then there are people like Tatsuro at 3000 rpm's that send's it dead straight all day with nearly the same distance yet the numbers on the LM are not as impressive. Anyway you will see in the LM videos what I'm talking about. We have Trackman and a bunch of other LM testing coming shortly.

we have lots of monitor videos just gotta get through the show videos first. It will be some time. Here's the thing LM numbers don't mean anything, for example you won't have nearly the same spin rates, launch, etc.. even if you had identical swing speeds as the tester. I've seen people on the internet place a lot of emphasis on LM's or report spin rates & launch angles when what they are seeing is how a club reacts to a particular person not themselves.

They are super close to your current PP-9003. Not much of a difference there in terms of forgiveness.

Just about every OEM would also choose ENDO if they could afford it.

If your looking for a forgiving set you may want something multi piece with a bit more tech in them. I.E Titleist VG3, OnOff Forged, Yamaha V-Forged are the first to pop into my head. Endo forged preferably. I think it would be best by you explaining a bit about your game, what you currently use and like or dislike and want in your next set.

Any X-Series wood by TourStage will feel more firm than the DT111 which is not really designed for the golfer who desires that more solid sensation. The DT-111 was designed for more forgiveness it's really well made by Endo as well with that expensive and popular VL forged cup face . The DT111 would better compare to the GR series by TourStage.

While it's true there is no best there is a hell of alot better. Also I would not throw cost into the equation as lower cost usually always have a trade off. In regards to drivers I am bias toward Forged Ti produced by Endo mostly for feel. When it comes to performance DAT 55, 56, produce fantastic numbers but cost quite a bit more. A lot of it has to do with the process of how it's made. You can have the same material made 2 different ways and the result is totally different. Also combined with other design factors the result can vary as well. There is an unlimited amount of tech/design/manufacturing/material combinations. It's about finding balance somewhere in that criteria that satisfies you that counts most.

Yes Mr.D. Of all, off the top of my head it would be Tourstage and Yamaha. The new graphite design BB series promotes straighter shots while the DJ was more for distance.

Usually TourStage X-Series but keep in mind it's designed for solid (firm) feel above forgiveness. Yes JPX AD series and they were not so hot.

For my game the GR line fit me better than the new 707 series. Even Tatsuro liked them, GR irons are solid Endo forged just a different shape and it's still not a large head by any means. The GR driver, materials, tech, manufacturing is still a big jump ahead of the J40 driver.

Yup they usually do. The one about to be released is the more forgiving model.

On to TourStage now! I think the X-Series get's lost in translation at times and what many consumers don't get is that it's designed purely for the Pro type player. Lot's of scratch or plus golfers would read that and say oh that's me but what we have to understand is that at the highest level such as the U.S PGA & many on the JPGA desire more Firm or Solid feeling Drivers, Irons, and Putters. The good to average consumer usually desires a more soft sensation at impact and that's what TourStage designed the GR Series for. TourStage could perhaps have the best R&D and technology around. They use ENDO for much of their manufacturing. The Type-S driver by ONOFF is adjustable through TSG as we deal with Labo dept directly and they can bend it with heat 1* in face angle and lie. Also the new FW's can be adjusted by half a degree FA and lie as well. Yes the iron in the gallery that says "Deep Flow Gravity" is a designed meant for extra forgiveness. In regards to Roddio shafts, they are very hard to tune due to a very different tipping profile versus other shafts. They are sensitive and not something you can just use conventional shaft tipping rules with. Players must be fit by someone like Gocchin from TSG for best results. Kinda similar to Crazy, people jump into any 2nd hand crazy pull because they get a good deal and it's a "crazy" then they blame the brand because it didn't fit their game.

If you guy's like the Yamaha I think you will enjoy the all new ONOFF Type-S as much or more.

It's hard to compare the J40 driver to any recent TourStage driver. The J40 was meant to be a cost effective model and thats obvious of the technology and materials used. For example it's totally made of 6-4Ti. It's not made by Endo like TourStage drivers are. They also use stainless weights instead of tungsten. Even the 405 driver from many years back packs a more tech and much better materials. TourStage drivers feature a complicated design behind the face, integrated power body technology, a hyper mesh crown, along with the toe and heel being chemically milled to achieve better MOI numbers not to mention now adjustability and much better stock shafts You would have to go back to 2006 to see TourStage drivers made like the J40.
