Great Feedback Spoon! Besides the ability to open the face easier what do you think about forgiveness, that was the main gripe of most with the 208.

Thanks, I will consider a combo set for sure. Not so sure about a shamrock designed wedge for our promo sample. Remember guy's these are REAL custom wedges unlike any other brand can do. Sky's the limit if you want something special.

I am on deck to have our Grind Studio wedges produced by Tomaru-san. I wanted to get your help on the build and all options for 2 wedges and 1 set of irons. Everything is custom the wedges and irons should take about 8 weeks before completed. These are for promotional use and product photography after that they will be sold. Let's here it guys! Lofts, Finish, Stamping, Grind, Bounce, and anything else you want to suggest. I'm thinking blades for the Irons but am still open to the cavity back.

That's good to hear OK, The GN502 440 version will play low, If you have the stock shaft now, some aftermarket shafts may send it even lower.

PRGR stock shaft is soft, I can easily get away with using it but I know many who can't. At your swing speed M-40 should be a good choice. The EGG's ship fairly quick now days. It's been out for a while. In regards to CRAZY shafts, Always stiffer than you would think.... just remember that.

They are not related to Royal Collection they just sell their product. Crews sells various brands in Japan. Their own product line is decent.

I agree Jackson, Another thing to note is that the Yamaha & Mizuno are both semi players CB's while the TR 500 Limited & 703 or 703 Limited are true players CB's.

Yea it is a bummer but from here on out the old grooves will become more scarce over time. I'm with you on liking more spin vs less.

To the person who picks these wedges up TSG can have them sent to the factory they were produced at ( Kyoei ) for a complete refinish and to remove all dings making them brand new.

I would have to say too close to call on that. I'm leaning toward the AF-302 being more forgiving. It's very close man. Also go with the 502 over the 701 IMO, newer model, better feel, pretty much the same tech in a better designed package.

You want the gap wedge to be very close in grind to your other wedges in my opinion. If your on a budget and don't want to spring for 3 wedges what lofts would you like? I play PW + 52/58 you may want to try that route as well to see if it works for you. I wouldn't suggest the Epon wedge just yet. It's too new and IMO Epon has not produced easy to use wedges since the technity. The 208 was not so hot, and this new 210 looks like it may not be the most user friendly wedge on the market. I suggest waiting to see how others get along with it. It's tuff so many new amazing wedges currently available. Seven Hills ( TSG Brand ) is a good choice, it's very easy to hit and the grind fits just about all turf conditions similar to how the Japan only TVD performed except It's FORGED. The DP2010 is another fantastic wedge, easy to hit nice feel. The Crazy wedge has a very easy to use profile, soft, and also performs very well. Fourteen V5 is a great product and the ONOFF S-Forged is highly suggested if you want non conforming grooves.

I wouldnt suggest the R9 Max, it's a bit large. at 11hcp with decent ball striking there are several I can suggest: AF-302, AF-502 Fourteen TC-910 & TC-550 new version Taylormade R9 Forged & R9 Forged TP Ping Anser Forged Irons Taylormade Burner TP Yamaha Inpres X Forged Taylormade Burner Forged The hard part is I can't tell if you prefer a players CB or semi players CB. There are a lot of guys out there who play to an 11 who use blades or compact players CB's and they can handle it, some can't and there is a group that hit's smaller more compact clubs better than larger more forgiving ones. It all depends where you stand.

I still rank the 901 as the best driving iron I have ever hit. I would like to see them keep the 901 as is and offer a 902 hybrid wood style.

Interesting wedge its a blend of the 208KGX and old Hi-CG wedge from years back. It's compact, very rounded. Top line is just the right size as well.

I have the new 202 HT Fairway wood ( will post pics soon ). To be 100% honest IMO it doesnt compare with the Egg's. It does look better, more conservative in design. I would say the PRGR has a clear edge in all major categories. The Egg is much longer, although im comparing a 13* to 15*. The Egg is much more forgiving, Big difference even against the HT's more shallow face design. The QT is a great shaft option for fairway woods. I also suggest the DI-7, Crazy FW, and Diamana i'lima for get up quick and easy results.

Easist way is to ask the company but 2010 grooves are the new standard on all wedges and irons produced as of late 2009.

Fantastic Report! You beat me to it, I'm waiting for my Crazy FW shaft. What specs and model did you go with? For now I have to hit the EGG Spoon with the stock shaft. What's the trajectory like with the Crazy?

The only ONOFF clubs recently produced in Japan are the S-Forged Shingo wedge and the CB247. Both models were only available in Japan. Outside of that the rest is not produced in Japan as far as I know. I think the english language was garbled up in the translation.

They can do non conforming by special request but problem is only 30pcs of conforming will be produced of this model. You would have to request non conforming and wait for the next wedge they are producing. At time of manufacturing yours would be put on the side for non conforming grooves. Yup same woods. I just needed new ones and wanted to try a different loft. I agree with idrive on the premium red 505 FW. super easy to get up in the air. Not exactly a pleasure to hit from the deep stuff though.

These just in, New Seven Hills brand wedges. Only 30pcs of their first prototype wedge model. It's very similar IMO to the Titleist TVD Vokey Japan wedges except Forged of S25C in Japan. USGA conforming grooves available head only for 120.00 each.
