  1. The only area that will wear is spot's that make contact with turf or ball. The rest of the club stay's black. Most platings reflect the sun into the eye's and many players don't like that, especially pro's. I prefer Black wedges vs Plated. I like the feel, look, and wear.
  2. Epon now offers KB Tour Shafts!
  3. Yes, they will suggest their accounts. I will say that you need not dig anymore because the reason given in my post above is the actual reason and Miura will say the same. Yes you will have to have it bored a bit bigger, and no it isnt enough to change weight much but overall the product is very good and the CB 2006 you have is one damn sexy iron.
  4. IMO the rust excuse isn't very valid but it is an effective tool to make sure those who are doing the assembly have their act together to some extent. The reason why Miura has very tight tolerance is because the hosel is a separate piece from the head itself aka spin welded. The clubmaker dispite the tolerance should check the swing weight and adjust to the customers request using methods like tip weights, tungsten powder, or lead tape.
  5. Looks like an Excellent set of irons in person, we are going to have a set shafted up for Testing & Reviews with TheGolfSpecialist.
  6. This Morning I took measurements of 15 brand new sets of the new CB-2006 irons and 100% of them are exactly as you mentioned. They do this because they want only credible club makers to assemble the product meaning that they need to do a slight bore on the hosel pre shaft install. Another reason is Miura claims that they do this to prevent rust in the hosel area from forming.
  7. We will have it in the proshop by the end of the weekend sir.
  8. It's common knowledge that any finish that is not a plating will wear and reveal carbon steal. Pro golfers actually prefer this to wedges with chrome or satin plating while the average consumer is usually put off by it.
  9. I sure feel that way. I have checked about 5-6 sets of heads and all of them are way to tight of a squeeze down the hosel.
  10. I got it also, my only tiff with it is that 1200 fps shoots a cropped image.
  11. Its not misbored, It is Miura. All their irons are like that.
  12. They are available now, I will have them added to the proshop tomorrow. We have 2 versions the one shown in the pics above are actually of the larger of the two. Don't get me wrong they are good quality irons, I have hit the #6 iron with NS1150 Stiff and it feels and performs well. It's soft and forgiving on both heel to toe low on the face. This version has quite a bit of offset. I am not sure how much Grind Studio is selling them for but as Zestiam it is priced near 1k but you will see other brands using this head in the future. It's new, It's good just not Original.
  13. I have not hit the black finish but it is the one that intrigues me most. Chrome and Satin will feel the same because it is a plating, but the black should feel softer. Sometimes a plating can feel softer than raw depending on the amount of nickel or copper contains.
  14. It is exactly the same club as Grind Studio. Welcome to the world of Open Model Head's, where brands slap their logo on pre made designs. One iron will be almost half the price of the other yet the two models are identical, Very unfortunate.
  15. Yes very good review and thanks for the update! I have a set I take out when i can and I agree 100% with that soft feel you mention. Its something you can't find in an iron that often.
  16. Sounds like he is a flip the wrist kinda guy who depends a ton on his timing...
  17. I have AF207KGX wedges still available brand new in all lofts. They can be assembled with any shaft. It is the Epon Japan Forged version which is almost identical to the technity except for graphics. In regards to spin I think Gold's Factory Wedges shred balls even more than these.
  18. No other putter company gets that custom for anyone, not even tour players get these options.
  19. Working on Tatsuro's Bio this week, we will also post his swing sequence in 60fps soon.
  20. Forged in Japan of S25C carbon steel the Miura CB-2006 is Miura's latest model of Iron. Miura calls the grind a W cut camber sole adoption.
