  1. Watch what you wish for, skunkworks coming soon....
  2. Its a new twist on the popular anser design putter. They captured a high MOI with its heavy forged wing weighting, fairly retro and new age and as it may not capture everyone's eye I still give them a world of credit for not doing the same ol approach most other brands are using. I have had it in the bag for a couple of rounds and lots of practice sessions, its a performer for sure quite impressive IMO as it helps me take the putter back with ease. Its a gem for my 6ft and 15ft putts 3" back 3" through and 5" back and 5" through straight with a nice roll. This is a prototype with no sole stamping and I am still not sure what they plan on doing with the face. Some have a ceramic insert, others a TPU on one with none. I must say the finish and build on these are flawless, pure quality of manufacturing at its greatest. None of these are for sale, simply R&D so don't ask pleeease!
  3. Yes your correct! Im sorry I thought they were both S25C, just remember S20C vs S20C doesn't mean they will feel the same, Think of it as comparing the feel of the Miura 5002 to the 1006 or the Type J vs the Type S. Design matters a TON despite using the same material. I would assume because these are fourteen and their designs are always far above average they feel great. the 770 forged felt awesome too!
  4. Its unfortunate but TSG may not be selling Chikara wedges any longer for this very reason. Carlton's a great guy and all, but when it came to product consistency and issuing refund's to unhappy customers, things didn't go as planned. Half of the 57* prototypes didn't have mill marks but the others did meaning some of customers recieved 52's with and 57's without the milling. Poor quality control and unreliable business practices have made it difficult to continue selling Chikara. I apologize for this guys.
  5. AF301 is S20C these are S25C but yes made by Endo sir.
  6. They have very good reviews in Japanese with charts that even comment about shafts, here are a few: Taylormade TP Burner: Callaway FT-i Cleveland High Bore XL Titleist D1 Epon Technity 460ZR
  7. Mr. Jeff purchased the MP Hokkaido's from us. Super Rare Irons!
  8. 2 putters, 1 new High MOI driver, 1 new Utility Wood, and 2 new bags... Here is a teaser.
  9. good stuff ajay, If you could change something about them what would it be?
  10. No sir, just one of the many proto's epon built before releasing the new AF driver.
  11. This one is not for sale and will never be, I got it by mistake and really didn't notice anything different until I put it up against the current model. Longer heel to toe, deeper face, and a double buldge in the sole Just wanted to show off my gamer if any of you were curious.
  12. Thats amazing, I have never heard of this place before but after checking it out they are brutal on each club explaining the best and worse aspects of each one. Its exciting to see Epon toe up in the most critical tests against the biggest brand names!
  13. They make many blades Ajay, Titleist, Nike, and many others. Blades just done sell like cavity backs anymore. You may be excited when the Brushed Satin Yururi Round Sole proto's come to me in November.
  14. What did I say about low quality vs high quality for you to disagree with? Your post simply says you have a preference for Miura irons. Expensive doesn't mean better I agree, but the blade has been done so many times over the same way, with CG's in the same spot, hosels of the same length and heads in similar shapes. You can find the same performance from Mizuno, Titleist and others. Its not really a matter of high end technology with blades, even lower end Chinese factories will not use spin welded, even Chinese factories create particular die's based on every club. These facts cant be argued, and it would be nice if lower tier brand's couldn't look down on Miura as far as matierials and manufacturing goes but they do. Does that mean you wont like them? Nope. Would you rather not hear anything about this topic? I share this because I have been to Miura, and other factories in Japan to see the process first hand, not many people have and not many people ask them tuff questions like I do. No matter what I say everyone will draw their own conclusions and I respect that. Im glad you like Miura's I can get you a special set that has the exact offset, top line, and customization you want, A set our members have never seen here. PM me to fall in love with your favorite brand in a whole new way.
  15. I'm not saying it does or doesn't have a tighter tolorence, I'm simply saying there could be a variety of unknown reasons it costs a lot more. Main reason IMO is that Daiwa wants to price it high. Just my personal opinion but Miura is very basic and traditional, almost outdated technology when it comes to the cutting edge of golf clubs. I know you guys have heard this many times from me but here it goes again, Spin Welded hosels are cheap and Miura's lack of sharp edge tooling is another way to save money. When a manufacture cant afford multiple die's they use spin welded hosels, when a manufacture doest want to pay to have the die's edges re-tooled they design the club with very basic rounded features. OEMs use Miura because they are willing to produce small amounts at low prices yet use Japanese quality steel. OEMs can purchase only 250 sets there. other factories require as many as 4000 pcs of each iron as a minimum not to mention 8 times the tooling costs for more complicated designs. Not bashing Miura we sell a lot of it, and customers are very very happy with it, Im simply stating my opinion that I have learned from visiting several factories and speaking with their staff.
  16. These putters are still in testing and prototype mode guys, there are two models the T72 and TL3, one Neo Mallet and One Neo Anser. Thats all I can say for now
  17. Mr. Bettinardi has created a President's Cup Limited Edition Putter that has been given to 14 of the president cup participants recently and TSG has got its hands on one. This putter is made of Double Aged Stainless Steel (D.A.S.S.). This is the first of its kind with nano milling of the U.S flag on its sole and face. Bravo Mr. B! Bravo!...
  18. Looks like a solid performer to me, I myself would like more symmetry in the back cavity but I understand what they are doing putting weight behind the impact zone and moving some closer to the heel to make the club more forgiving.
  19. Main reason is because that is what Daiwa wants to charge for them, second is it's Limited Edition, Also we don't know specifics of how the tolerance was ordered, it does cost more for tighter tolerance.
  20. I communicate with Daiwa Japan and ONOFF USA weekly. They are on the speed dial list here.
  21. After putting these to the test I must say i'm rather impressed. They are very similar to the EPON Type J or AF301, If Epon didn't exist these would be in my bag for sure.
  22. Not sure why they made it cast but its softer than many forgings I have tried. Brands like Fourteen, Honma, and Crews have butter castings if that makes any sense. The sole grind is spectacular I noticed crews now has a more subtle " triple sole " in all of their wedges. I will ask them why and see what they say.
