  1. Technity and Epon wedges are 1020 and forged at Endo. The entire fourteen wedge line up is cast. Its pretty easy to say the Epons feel far better.
  2. I suggest somthing heavy and for your swing speed you should be looking at X. If you want a lower more accurate flight the black golds are great. I use just about anything 1150, Black Gold, S400, and Graphite.
  3. Made special for the Korean market. Only thing is the Korean market doesn't have many of the clubs mizuno japan offers.
  4. Any auto shop can do it and most air brush companies also.
  5. D1/D2 are swing weights not head weights or overall club weights. The difference is minimal most people cant tell D1 vs D2.
  6. I see that the Tour AD logo is on the top. Is that where Jeff found the spine?
  7. Yes they have some sort of tour hosel and a retail version, im waiting for a reply from Japan for the full details.
  8. 6/15 release date sir, Good thing about these is that the lie angle is adjustable.
  9. If anyone is going to Japan and needs help getting a tee time or dealing with a course in english please PM me and we will put you directly in touch with them. We have amazing contacts that can book Tee Times for english speaking players at just about any course. We can even get you discounts, directions etc.. This is really an awesome post gocchin, a little perverted but still a fun read Lets talk food! In my most recent trip TourSpecGirl and I ate at the Oak Door, The Oak Door specializes in premium quality meats and ingredients cooked to perfection in dramatic oak wood-burning ovens. We had the ultimate steak shootout, Kobe vs Sendai. The Sendai was 300 bucks for a 10oz steak ala carte while the Kobe was 450.00 for an 8oz steak. Let me just say for those who think Ruth Chris's or Mortons is good, this will blow your mind! Nothing like whats available here in the states, its so soft and tender and marbled it simply melts in your mouth. Both TSgirl and I feel the Sendai steak was the better of the two because it was less oily and rich. The funny part is we had planned on taking half of each steak back to our room when the waiter dropped the bomb on us " sorry we dont allow you to leave with our food " We did our very best to finish but ended up wasting a lot of it. I had so much fatty steak the next morning felt like a slug. We are also big fans of the various types of Maguro (tuna), especially our personal favorite O-Toro! Most Japanese enjoy Chu-Toro because its less fatty but for those who like sushi you gotta try them both! We never did care much for Fugu ( blowfish ) not much flavor unless enjoyed in a good broth. Oh yeah and white rice in Japan is so amazing, some rice goes up to 160.00 for a 10lb bag. Its unreal! Here are some random pics:
  10. More pics of the handmade 30th Aniversary Epon Driver, Just installed the RODDIO 6-BA in SR flex and its almost to pretty to hit. Not sure if i should keep it as a gamer or put her on the bay?
  11. Yup G-Field/GDJ just declared bankruptcy last week in Japan Good deal on the premium zone putters. There are places in Japan and Asia that cant dump them fast enough.
  12. They are the same thing U.S and Japanese versions. Mizuno has not made a wood in Japan for some while now. Not sure when the last one was but most brands make their drivers and woods in China or Taiwan now days.
  13. Well its time for a players CB if your eye can handle it. PRGR 900MD, Epon Type J, Fourteen 770 Forged are at the top of my list. G-Field went bankrupt last week in Japan so no they are not around anymore.
  14. Very good question, both are very soft, both for the better player for sure! I have both but playing the Type J based off of the feel that i seem to like over most. Don't get me wrong fourteen is pretty much the same material made at the same place, some say the 14 is more forgiving also. The only time i hit both side by side each of them had 1050 Stiff flex by NSPRO. I would go type J but fourteen is just a little sexier looking from the back cavity while the Type J looks much better at setup.
  15. Great Post! I would have to say based on my conversations with most of our customers that people dont know how to go about shaving strokes with the use of equipment. Most of these guys TSG'ers, BSG'ers, and WRX'ers wanna buy driver after driver, but why when your shorter sticks give you the real stroke saving. Most play expensive shafts that are too stiff, if the shaft doesnt kick its not worth a penny even if you paid 1000 bucks for it. Most of our customers dont know where their distance gaps are because club fitters accross america are not in depth enough to spend the extra 2 hours for a distance gap analysis with each and every club. They say its overkill but that is their opinion as they know not how much you love this game. Also the shaft analysis reports need to be done with clubs using your lie/length/swing weight then testing about 4-7 different shaft profiles, flex's etc.. When we do this we have the player hit various project X, Tour Concept, NS Pro, Dynamic Gold, Graphite and all flex's possible to see what shaft gets them the optimal trajectory, tightest dispersion, and max carry and roll. Compare all the numbers and you will see what shaft is best for you. Then take the top 2-3 contenders on the course and have a shootout. A really good fitting lasts about 4 hours with 2 people working on your clubs. A decent clubmaker/fitter will also take 6 measurements of your current set and be able to tell you where and how you hit your bad shots and with what club. Truth is in the numbers in that regard. So in the end I really think its a blend of fitting and quality equipment. the only issue is not even the OEM fitting studio's or large places like hotstix will spend that sort of time with you or even know what to look for. Yes thats right not even the OEMs care about your game enough to do this even if you paid them top dollar. They would rather put you ona multimillion dollar machine for an hour or two feed you some fancy graphics and papers then suggest a set of clubs that the carry and get you out the door. Sick ONE! So in the end are most of our customers spending thousands upon thousands and not learning much about why the club didnt work for them or why it did. Sad but true, and then again not many golfers are this hardcore so i really suggest following these steps at the very least. Fittings go far beyond this but these are what i call the basics and need to be done: 5 basics: loft/lie/length/swing weight/grip size ( 1 hour ) Distance Gap Analysis ( 1 hour ) Shaft Fitting Analysis ( 1 hour ) pulling the data together and explaining it to you ( 35min ) remeber to wear your gamer shoes because that effects your lie angle big time. Also dont let shoddy club fitters and clubmakers tell you what you need. If your clubfitter does these things you should be leaving with about 6 pages of data. Take that data fax it to an expert who is critical and carries hundreds of brands of clubs and shafts and offers all sorts of aftermarket techniques so your not stuck with only the options that the fitter has available. It gets even more silly, people are asking about grind on irons, wedges, and fairway woods now. Why? because it feels fancy to talk about that but in the end almost every grind has been done dozens of times and their are options for all types of swingers already on the market. So i see people getting way to technical on that, and not technical enough with what really counts. 99% of fitters wont even have the shafts i mentioned on hand for your shaft analysis so its really difficult for guys us who dont mind paying for the best just want all bases covered. Then Again, this rant of mine is for those who really really want to improve their game. Many of us just want to hit better feeling, looking, and made clubs and enjoy the game more without getting too serious.
  16. L & LL are always sold out 3 months before release, Id rather not deal with that sorta thing.
  17. I have already decided for you, the R7 Forged!
  18. Its back face is milled in China, The face itself and hand polish is done in Japan. The original products a couple of years before were all made in Japan.
  19. Im in the 52/57 or 53/58 camp. I like having less options and rely on my sense of feel. I have tried the four wedge setup many times and it cost me shots as I seem to second guess my club selection a bit more than I do now.
  20. This is just the proto, the grind will be adjusted a bit on the retail version as well as the milling on the face... enjoy!
  21. The New Technity FW is cold forged rolled SS except the old model fairway wood.
