  1. Awesome shaft guys, I have an Epon 460 at D3 44.75" dead square that arrived a couple of days ago with the W6BA R flex tipped a half inch, thing is a cannon but I need to mess with tipping it and the other shaft models before i claim this champ over Axiv and Tour AD. Nothing kicks like the Axiv, and Nothing goes as straight and long as my Quattro Tech. I have yet to try it on the course, its pouring rain out. Nothing beats the graphics on this shaft, you can have it White or you can have it Red. More to come, to many shafts, heads, and clubs to hit and the show is just around the turn!
  2. Let the launch monitor data do the talking. I dont care what loft it is as long as im getting solid ball speed numbers, carry, total yardage, and a tight dispersion. I'm always trying to achieve a 14* launch angle, 6+ seconds of hang time, a downward angle of degradation that gives me decent roll, a spin rate under 3000, and something less than 8 yards off line in either direction. If a 9.5 gets you those results then your all set but no shame if its the 10.5 that gets you there. Hell id use a 13* driver as long as its the result i desired. As far as manufacturing, quality control, tolorance, feel and forgiveness Epon takes the cake, Sure there are clubs that can rival it in one or several of those categories like the X-Drive 460 or MP Craft 425 etc.. but knowing you have the most high end manufactured driver or shall I say cannon on the market is a great feeling.
  3. You got about 11 months before epon releases their new driver. here is my honest take here, your trying low tier Japanese product when you could be spending your money on the top end. Akira, Tsuruya, Gorrilla, etc.. all B brands no real technology just another design with the same ol materials. What your looking for is particular things that make clubs perform or feel amazing. multiple forged ti materials and most importantly cold forged from Endo. Your spot on with the shafts your are choosing, its just the heads that are in question. I suggest Yonex Japan, Wilson Japan, Nike Japan and others over some B brands mentioned. Cyberstar is using solid tech in all their new models. But of course if I had my choice it would be EPON. No driver feels that good at impact. EPON is made in Niigata Japan, woods and irons. Ya know I do give discounts to active members via PM. Thanks, Chris
  4. If there is interest in Tsuruya, Akira, etc.. we will add them to the pro shop. You gotta try the Epon Reggie!
  5. Im sorry these are very different in size, grind, material, and finish. The MP-R is smaller as well.
  6. Really? Ask a grinder what he thinks about how they pulled off the shape and blended heel relief. Its easier to show a drastic grind than it is to blend it into the head. When i say grinder i dont mean guys at BSG or WRX who say they grind and post a few pics, I mean people who it for a living and clear 500+ wedges a month. Can you tell me the grind differences between the X model and Technity? What complicated grind are you looking for? Yes Custom Grind is available but not done at the factory, We have Carlton Masui and Master Koyama to choose from.
  7. Its Feb, new soft goods usually come out in March/April.
  8. I play a left to right ball flight with my driver so the 460P did not do me well. If you generate a good club head speed and want to take the left side out of play i would suggest this club if it was still available. The epon 460 can be bias weighted or custom ordered lie and face angle. Its cold forged titanium and it feels even better at impact. I will say though from above the 460P is hands down the most sexy 460cc driver ever made. Its just a little to much club for me.
  9. What is your target swing weight? most people enjoy D2 3-9 D3 PW.
  10. There are two covers that have come with the driver. The black generic one and the yellow and black epon HC, both are not very nice IMO. They will not have gear that can satisfy you guys until mid 2007. I have Hats, and Tour Bags now but they are not up to my standard.
  11. Yes it has the premium zone insert, no its not a premium zone club. If you want premium zone you need to by an anser style.
  12. I would spend 15k on tooling and create my own cold forged driver, then the other 10k for hand ground cavity backs fitted in person by Master Koyama in Niigata. If there is money left over a Golds Factory putter from the Factory made of Gold
  13. The first one you showed was the G-Fields actual mallet. The second pic is just an example stamping run done that i sold.
  14. We have G-Field for you, just not in the amounts needed to keep it in the pro shop. Epon prices were lowered as upgrade shafts are not cheap now days.
  15. Premium Zone M2+? No the one you have is the latest and most premium version of the M2+ ever made. perhaps Taipanli can chime in, he has all of these.
  16. Everything they have now is new, all new releases some only a couple of weeks ago and the FW's 4 days ago. Problem is I tell you guys about the new products waay before release and by the time its released you guys feel like its old news. There are several Prototypes for a New Blade, MOI driver, Hybrid that i will be checking out in a couple of weeks. These are scheduled for late 2007 so if i show you now it will be old before release
  17. They dont offer any shaft or grip options on the 460P do they? They dont even advertise that model. I understand its only the retail versions that have the options and not very good ones at that. If you guys neeeed a certain spec i can order it from the tourstage pro support but it costs me full retail plus tax and takes forever. Not a very good idea IMO.
  18. The Run bird can be placed the same way the M stamp can. On the MP-R wedges and MP-67's you are not able to remove them from the sole. More pics...
