  1. MP-60's are now available. Some people are going with the full set while others a custom matched topline, offset, and sole of 60/32's. Pm me if you have any questions.
  2. The MOZ clubs sold are hand done only by Mr. Ishihara himself while the scratch clubs made in Japan are done by his assistants or expert staff. They both start with the same 1018 steel and use the same factory for that incredible deep luster finish. Mr. Ishihara is famous for grinding JPGA tour player wedges for many years. His lines are so smooth and finish so flawless.
  3. As far as I know Nakashima is a U.S component company with a Japanese name.
  4. Good Topic and some very good points, I have learned that it doesn't matter so much where the club is made but how it is designed. For example I play the XD-435 and TM R7425 drivers, they are both made in China yet perform just as good as whats made in Japan. The PRGR T3 Driver is what I consider the highest quality driver on the market in regards to materials and pure design yet it still comes down to the person swinging the club as we all know. Stock Mizuno is still great even if its finished in China, It is obvious that the custom sets have quite a bit more luster to them yet IMO Custom grinds are not such a big deal, The majority of pros don't have special grinds and they have swings that make contact the same way almost every shot. There are also grinds that add negative performing characteristics to the head. I'm able to order any grind for my swing possible yet stick with standard because when it comes down to performance, exact C.O.G location, and proved tech data, Its the original design they created that works the best for the majority of golfers. I have had 7 sets of custom grind mizunos, none perform any better to the retail grind. Its useful for blending combo sets, and adjusting offset, but when you get into changing to a progressive offset with a square toe and a little relief here and there you end up changing the entire clubs playing characteristics to something other than what was tested to be the top performing design concept. In regards to Miura, they do make top quality product and they honestly feel the 2 piece head design has a beneficial effect to performance. I would like to hit one forged out of a single piece but I'm sure the difference is minimal even to the pro golfer. Most OEMs start with quality in mind, then they seek better profits or a bigger name with more advertising and need to cut a few corners, also Japanese factorys can only handle so much after a while then its a necessity to make their clubs in china if they don't own their own factory i.e Mizuno, PRGR, Miura etc. What I don't want is retail end prices to be affected by what they spend in player endorsements. Nike has done a great job of keeping prices down even with their top players costing them big bucks.
  5. Here are pics to compare guys! I have both and im now using the G-Fields #1 reason is the zero offset #2 is the new club factor :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
  6. Hi John, The W-505 can be ordered square but in my experience it never comes totally square, usually .5 closed no matter what angle i ordered it at. The differences between these two drivers is minimal and it comes down to what you are willing to spend.
  7. The W-505 is a Japan release driver while the W-506 is made for the U.S market. The biggest difference IMO is the price then the fact that over a dozen players on the JPGA tour use the 505 while none use it on the PGA tour. Both are solid clubs made in Japan at the same place but I have hit both and can tell you the W-505 sets up more pear shaped and feels less hollow at impact, In regards to performance it was easier to work and was noticeably a driver for the better player.
  8. Yup Same finish, its just one pic was taken with flash the other was not.
  9. I honestly haven't had much time with this FW yet, its got a square face, neutral weight bias and is very forgiving but it could be the ol honeymoon period. So I have to give it at least another 5 rounds to be fair. The trajectory I had during the first round was mid-high even with the tour AD M75, The best aspect IMO was its ease of use to hit off the deck, heavy feel head, and most of all its solid steel feel at impact.
  10. Made by Endo of 1020 steel in Thailand. No custom options at the moment. You can get them heads only or with S200 or NS950's. In regards to the topline it is the exact same as the original NC-1's.
  11. I will post images of my terra this week, Its a solid mallet and part of the forged series line, very soft at impact and as jack said it has a nice heavy weight. IMO its got a more rounded and smoother profile than the red x. I'm sorry there is no center shafted model available.
  12. There is no where in the entire U.S.A that can do a high quality brushed satin or nickel finish. The chemicals just arnt legal in the states.
  13. FYI They did a revamp on the sole graphics just recently. Royal Collection is saying this version over the las type H has a higer ball flight improved feel at impact, lower center of gravity and a more shallow face design. There are now available in the TSG catalog! New BBD Type H 2
  14. In the Japanese shaft guides they say the Diamana M series encourages a fade ball. The M63 is for the swinger not hitter, while the M73 is for the stronger swinger. The M83 was recommended for both swingers and hitters with a decent amount of club head speed. They also said tempo is not a factor with this shaft as it is with the blue. The Diamana Blue they recommend for the hitter with a smooth tempo.
  15. I was just informed the heads of the G-Field version is 3-5 grams heavier.
  16. Your maru's have shipped, It comes in the black velvet lined Tourstage box as well as some sort of clip on advertisement this year. No biggie so I guess your real prize are the wedges!
  17. Will put her to the test this week against the previous model NC-1's. Lots different about this one, Slightly more rounded top line, thinner sole, enhanced shape, softer forged steel and lets not forget Zero offset....or is it onset?
  18. Their products are too solid! A Steel head instead of Titanium, Weight Screws to adjust balance, Rails to aid you off the deck, and a shape to die for. I have only had 9 holes with the new GFT 3 wood shafted with a graphite design M75 shaft and it put the X-ST, VS2, and UX2 out. I will be switching it up a bit to a 4 wood 7 wood combo to better fit my distance gaps but I can say after 9 holes I love this club!
  19. I received a few early release sets of the CCB-1 by G-Field scheduled for a Japan release in March 2006. They are supposed to be a game improvement iron yet they have a compact top line and no where near a lot of offset. I would simply call these a normal sized cavity back with game improvement forgiveness. I have had 2 range sessions and 9 holes with them and I can honestly say they simply perform great. The most forgiving iron Gauge Japan has ever produced.
  20. She is legit, I assure you, they own a very large used store and the BeCu's were a hit in hawaii.
  21. They don't do custom but they do have limited editions that are not on the link above. those sell quick, stuff like godzilla, little red riding hood, sumo, king bear etc..all sold out
  22. A new Japanese head cover company is making it big on the USLPGA tour with ladies like Ai Miyazato, Christina Kim, Jennifer Rosales, and a few others using their product. Its high quality fine stitch embroidery at its best and the designs are out of this world! Click Here: For Brave Golfers Only! Click Here: For Brave Golfers Only!
