  1. The yen's not a problem??? At $0.96 to 1 JPY that makes the yen overvalued @30%. I remember getting almost 130 JPY to the dollar just a couple of summers ago. If prices havn't changed I've lost @20% of my purchasing power if I buy direct from a japanese shop. ......that's why i buy new gear right here at tsg  I see it more basically than you do, 104yen = $1 U.S. I low ball all of our profit figures and treat the dollar and yen as if they are equals. Yes three summers ago it was 136yen to $1 and Yes if you buy direct from a shop you have lost 20% in buying power since that summer. A strong yenny is bad for TSG but IMO the feel of economic strength for the Japanese will make the JOEM's more aggressive for 2005.
  2. I'm sure a lot of you are already hearing this but the worlds largest Economy could soon be China. Kinda scary for us Americans unless you can view it as an opportunity. and yes Mikey the B/S/T here rules! its free, has a ton of used import stuff floating around and a trader ranking system that should be more valid in about 6 months. TSG is due for a total makeover
  3. I don't think the yen is a problem at all, its currently 104 to the U.S dollar. Its easier to live in japan for the most part because people make much more than the average U.S worker but IMO they work much harder. Also lets keep in mind the family structure in Japan is very different where the majority of wives don't work, so the man supports the entire family on a single income not to mention the $$$ to the mistress  but all in all, i buy a lot from japan and its pretty much the same as it was a year or two ago. I understand what Mikey is saying totally.. its not as luxurious living in the U.S as it is in Japan, per capital the amount of high end products the Japanese buy vs Americans is a lot. TSG does not make its money in the U.S, to put it simply the majority of customers in America don't have the cash. In regards to your X-drive Mikey, Do you know why your not getting a bite? It's 5 years Old no matter how new it is or when you bought it, its still a model that has been floating around for a super long time. and.... Tourstage U.S reps are to blame for bringing in a ton of XD's at 300 bucks cost which brought the entire X-Drive market down. mid last year. for example the 390 X-Drive pro spec from a rep was 350 - 400 yet in Japan 800 bucks. Tourstage has said they fixed the problem by only giving U.S Tourstage 30% off of Japan retail for reps. Yes Japanese clubs are expensive, but its all relative to what you make and how you spend. TSG thanks you for your support :-) Buy USA = Buy China in this industry
  4. I'm surprised you have never experienced a Japan company not knowing squat about its U.S counter part. Yup for the last 2 years I have experienced Tourstage not having a clue about the U.S release's...NO CLUE! Thats not saying the company don't know about them of course. Try asking a U.S Srixon Rep about TN proto's or the I-404's, he will not have a clue for sure... Try asking a Mizuno U.S rep about the JPX driver or maybe ask a Japan rep about the Hi Fli. Its nothing new that most employees don't know very much outside what they are told. PM me if you want to know the names of the reps i deal with, but really what will you do about it... :-D
  5. The staff i speak with at Japan bridgestone has no clue what the J33's are. they are trying to keep the U.S stuff seperate. Theres a lot about bridgstone you guys dont know, Im not gonna even get into it.
  6. Let's not glorify the little punk. He's just a thief who's working his way up to being somebody's bitch in prison some day soon. I'd ban his IP address and send his daddy an email stating your intention to hold him responsible for his son's actions(assuming he's 16 or younger.) I would have my I.T. guy write some code that highlights in bold red letters any members who post in Buy/Sell/Trade and have been registered for less than 60 days. I think you have a responsibility to take positive action to make it difficult for the little brat to steal from your members. Well thanks for your suggestion, I made the trader rating and thats all you will get! If members don't know how to use it, TUFF... thats what its for. You suggestion for the 60 day red name is good but.... If your not careful you will get ripped off, I personally would never be taken by this kid and I am kinda amazed by the people who did because they didn't check reference, have a phone talk, etc etc and I think its obvious that TM Tour stuff has some shady areas. The members who got ripped are no longer willing to participate in the hunt for him, Thats their choice. Buy from people you know or trust. This kid noticed a lot of gullible TM tour buyers and is taking advantage of them. If you are someone who got ripped by him take a look at your own on line buying habits. Is it safe? If your a sucker your a sucker, plain and simple, don't be a sucker. How about 3$ a B/S/T post? that will slow him down
  7. Tourstage ( Japan ) will have completely different models than U.S bridgestone. I was told the drivers will be made with a different material for the most part and the Irons will have turbo rubber and or Tungsten extras that are not cost effective for the U.S. I know nothing about the U.S bridgestone offerings, I dont get any info from U.S bridgestone and Japan has never even heard of the J33's. Coming soon for Tourstage Japan, - X-Drive 2005 - ViQ Utility wood for men - ViQ forged Irons - X-wedge mid size 02 -? -? -? We wont know till the golf fair in Japan.
  8. There are only two + models the M3+ and M2+ The plus version is basically bigger in every way and IMO more forgiving for a putter and less sensitive. Both models are 2004 and no longer in production. Gauge Design Japan will release all of their new line at the Japan Golf Show in Feb. TSG will be at the show covering everything in Video and hundreds of high quality images in the gallery. The Eldik no longer comes in center shaft perhaps in the future, but it still is all the rage in Japan, there are so many different versions of this putter and 2 more coming for 2005 I got two hints -M- and -CN-
  9. I can ban him all you want but dont you think this kid can just change his IP, I know I can and I also know he already has. By banning him he will just change his name again, do you guys really think thats better thank knowing who the bum is? This guy is Max, This guy is CircleT30. This guy works for Hitler
  10. I always thought it depends on what it is we are talking about. It could mean the size of the head progressively gets smaller, bigger, wider etc.. or It could mean the amount of offset varies between the PW to 3i progressively more or less. I guess any brand could say somthing along them lines. Am I correct?
  11. Would you like to now know who he is?
  12. In Japan the JPX irons will come out. 2 versions both forged and one more GI than the other. But thats no MP series. Also a JPX driver and UX2 carbon crown UT wood.
  13. Guys this post is praise for MAX... par5zzin2 is max. They are the only two people sharing the same IP under both names. Maybe its time for a seperate forum for TM Tour stuff.
  14. I dont think so, Japan Nike always had some great variations of the standard product. T100, Copper Wedges, Ignite 380, etc etc
  15. all diamanas are the same except for the Diamana limited stinger which has the material B03-13 and titanium inside. The new DF1+ by Nike will be released March. 15th. available in 400cc and 460cc Oh yeah I can get that for ya!
  16. Well if anyone is interested I have access to a ton of these things used and new.
  17. When you say snappy & hot do you mean better suited for a hitter? I swing out my shoes but don't generate any power :wah: and I can only tell you my experience with it was it felt like it kicked through the ball in the impact zone, i honestly felt like i was adding h/s but i for sure didn't get that feeling with every swing. M65 that is.
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7120188206&rd=1 smells like......
  19. Luxury brands are an entirely different story, Brands like Hiro Honma, Majesty, Access, etc.. there are very few true Honma " in the know" kinda people. The type of honma that TSG'ers would play is their Tour World stuff. There is tour issue honma small topline no offset irons. some even come with X100's but to find someone who sells these is hard. The LB's are older models, I don't really understand how Honma series clubs work :-D kinda confusing and now they supposedly have the shafts from heaven called ARMARQ and that too even comes in stars :money: here is the newest from Honma: Twin Marks MG460 (body) 6AL(s)-4V titanium (face) DAT55G+ titanium face Head volume 460cc ARMRQ 851 loft (degree) 9 & 10 C.O.R.0.86 0.86 center-of-gravity distance (mm) 41 42 center-of-gravity quantity (mm) 37.0 37.5 effective RBI distance (mm) and here is the latest Irons, it is a combo set kinda. very
  20. Hi, welcome to the site, Your question is a little difficult for people who don't know " know " about Taylormade. Your in luck cause we got a few people here who do, unfortunately I'm not one of them. I cant tell serial # from chicken scratch when it comes to TM's. Maybe someone who knows something will chime in...zip?...oneputt?...
  21. Its your standard Mizuno great feel, go borrow MP series irons and test them out. I wouldnt say they are GI irons, the MX23, MX20 etc are way more GI. Mizuno Japan selected the higher quality 27's while Mizzy American went with the MX series. They setup pretty compact, I wouldnt say they are for high handicaps either. here are some pics for you:
  22. Very nice stuff, I have owned both these shafts, TS girl plays the W60 in stiff and hits it further than any R flex she can find :-D The W60 is great for a slicer it turns over nice and smooth with little effort. Its best qualities are its tight mid/high trajectory and its ease of use. The W70 is very much the same thing with some extra weight, these shafts are BIG on the JPGA, the best Graphite Design is far ahead of Fuji in count, If you take a look at the Japan brands they offer very few Fuji's for example new X-Drive, W404 etc.. The new M series is snappy and hot, available in great weight/torque combo's too. Mitsubishi is coming back big time this year, The Diamana Stinger is the best shaft I have ever hit in my life. There are lil Gems that will pop up in the B/S/T that most of you miss. These items sell out in Japan quick usually about 3 days to a week. #0 Tourstage proto head #1 Diamana Stinger #2 Fourteen proto wedge set #3 2004 v.2 Maruyama wedges #4 Gauge Japan J.A.T style putter #5 X-Drive 365cc
  23. They are coming to the U.S!!!! should be retail 299.00 The M Series will come to the U.S when they become one model old.
