  1. Anyone ever dealt with this member? Seems very new and with no asking price on the wedges it makes one wonder. Hopefully he is legit and I can figure out how to get some great wedges
  2. One thing to consider in selecting the loft is the type ball flight you want to play most often. Then factor in the shaft you plan on playing and that shifting weight around with the TP version allows you to dynamically change the launch angle. I would suggest you talk with Joey or other knowledgable club tech.
  3. I had Y cutters 56* and 60* but they got stolen. :wah: For me personally they were the best wedges I had ever played. I could do most anything I wanted with them once I got use to them. It did take some getting use to because at first everything was checking up to quickly. I finally got to adjusting my swing based on if I wanted the ball to check or release. Who knows it may have been totally unrelated to the Y's but I find that difficult to believe since the blacks I got to replace them don't respond as well.
  4. TM is fairly well known for not tipping the shafts they install, my guess is that the stick you have is untipped and whatever you tried before was tipped perhaps to the point of playing stouter then marked. I.E.: a stiff tipped enough to make it nearly an X. One of the club guys like Joey can probably answer this best.
  5. A friendly suggestion. You join the site and one day later you post clubs for sale, 7 hours later you whining about little interest stating that the members are against your sticks because they are OEM. Once you get to know the members here you will find they are very friendly and knowledgable, most of them are very willing to play any stick that will help their game. One reason you may not have gotten much interest is the lack of a price in your post - it may well be an innocent ommission but most of the members that I know prefer a price to "negotiations". Sadly a second reason for minimal interest maybe that for quite a few of the members the season is ending as fall sets in and winter is fast approaching. I've noticed alot less activity on all the sites I visit that offer B/S/T for clubs. I do hope you find a buyer and that you give the members here a chance you will not find a better group of people to deal with. Have a great weekend.
  6. To even remotely suggest that it is related to gambling is ridiculous, unless you have very reputable sources of information. I can not deny that he has enjoyed gambling, but everything I have ever heard he does it at reasonable levels compared to his income. He won big money on either the Ravens or Patriots winning the Super Bowl a couple of years back. But enjoying gambling is a far cry from needing money because of it. He has never denied that he likes to gamble though I do vaguely remember him saying something about not gambling as much on or off the course as being a big reason he had a good year. Phil wanted more money after winning the Masters while Titleist said they were not interested in renogiating at the time. Phil's contract ran through 2005 and it was clear to Titleist the numbers on what Phil wanted did not line up with their plans. If you think about it Titleist has never paid any of their stars huge money, Tiger left, Duval, and so on. When a star becomes a mega star and wants the big bucks Titleist let's them go instead of paying that kind of money.
  7. That's the one he had one earlier in the week a single for $400 and two for $700. He even posted a phone number and said to call him as he had two each of 9.5 and 10.5 in stiff and similar in regular I think it was. Bottom line when I emailed him he replied I could send him $400.00 via Western Union and he would ship next day. When I replied paypal only he didn't respond.
  8. I also found a very suspicious deal on R7 TP drivers out of Canada, from a brand new ebay account. Only $400.00 with all accessories - only payments accepted via Western Union. I will post the information later just incase it's Max or someone elsel like him.
  9. KSU - I want you to know I'm not saying the 500 number was wrong but I had heard 2500. So not sure. Based on what you paid for them I understand why you would want that asking price. I will pm you.
  10. I had a set of these stolen a month ago. Since then I have been watching ebay and all the lists I can find. Even though these are rare (not sure where you got the 500 number) I'm not sure that your asking price is within the market at this time. Just thought you might want to know. Perhaps some of the other members can let you know if it's a fair price. Best of luck selling them for as much as you can because they truly are very nice irons.
  11. Sounds pretty bogus to me Pateh. The buyer stated that he paid extra for fast shipment. The tracking details are phoney and it's now well over four weeks. If you have tracking info on the package you shouldn't need to check with the post office beyond pulling up their tracking web site and checking the number. I for one would never buy from you after this and this just goes to show we need a way to rate the buyers and sellers on this site. Though 99 out of 100 are good from what I have seen - perhaps more. Very few on here ever have to post any form of negative comment about a buyer or seller.
  12. It depends on the condition of your old ones and your asking price. Personally after the loss of my sticks in the burglary I'm looking for the best quality/deals I can find. Though I am close to just giving up till spring.

What weights do you have in it? This could really make my day after losing the Retail 10.5 in the theft. I am VERY interested.
  15. Man sorry to hear that, I know in my area there is apparently a "gang" or whatever you want to call it going around hitting golf course communities.
  16. I would love to talk with them. Of course one thing I need to consider is the attorney fees plus possible insurance rate increase versus cost of buying new sticks. Definitely worth hearing what they have to say.

I have a contact in the logo merchandise business here in Virginia. He can get almost any brand clothing wanted, so if there is enough interest I could get him to do a run of shirts (perhaps Ashworth or Cutter Buck shirts to start, but will find out what else he has). I will get ahold of him this week coming up and get a price quote from him. From what I know he is very reasonable even on small quantity orders. oops I just saw that this was about Guage Design & TSG .. I was thinking just TSG.
  18. Any pics of the newport .. thanks
  19. It is now official the insurance company denied the claim. Despite telling them the agent never notified us of the change to the policy, they are sticking by the new policy issued with the provision that only family members are covered. Since we are not married my belongings are not covered what a crock of BS. Combined with the loss of my full time job I'm now faced with no golf for the foreseeable future as spending anywhere near the amount needed to replace my clubs is out of the question. I have a week at Hilton Head already paid for at the end of October that is now useless. If anyone is interested in taking over a condo rental that sleeps six and has golf included for four (afternoon tee times) send me a PM with an offer. I do have to see if the owner will let me transfer it but I think so. Thanks
  20. Kasco I love TM clubs but as my post earlier in the week mentioned mine were stolen and still waiting on insurance to make a decision on what if any they will cover. If they do come through perhaps you would be willing to sell them, if so let me know your price shipped. Thanks
  21. I didn't get a chance to call yout, but I will later today. If anyone has RAC wedges or Mid Rescues available please email me or send a pm. Thanks
  22. As a few people know I suffered a pretty devastating loss with the theft of my clubs, including the misc pieces. My home was burglarized and the insurance is trying to say that since the house is owned by my roomate that the insurance is not responsible for my loss. The agent knew that I lived here and I am on the policy for the cars. There is some hope they will pay off on the loss, but he's claiming some BS about changes to coverage that were instituted. Anyway that is my problem and if they refuse to pay then it will be awhile till I can financially think about replacing everything. This is unbelievably painful I had taken on extra jobs and scrimped to finally have my dream set only to get it taken after just a few months. I know it probably sounds silly to say that it hurts emotionally, but literally for the last few days I am in a daze and wondering what the hell I should do. The company I worked for went bankrupt in August and now this. Here is what was taken: All clubs Taylormade except putter. R7 10.5 MAS stiff 13* V-steel MAS stiff RAC CB TP from the limited edition miura forged release (pre retail) S300 3FW TP Mid Rescue with Irod Stiff RAC black 52* with UST 115 Pro Force Tour Iron (S) RAC 56* FE2O3 Tour Issued RAC 60* FE2O3 Tour Issued Scotty Cameron Studio 1.5 with Yellow Studio Cover TM Taylite Black carry/stand bag with white lettering If anyone sees such a list for sale please try and get all info you can especially the serial number - give the excuse you want to verify it with TM as being Miura forged. I know it's very unlikely this stuff will ever be recovered but I can hope. Also, realistically I have to make plans on replacing and as I said there is no way I can afford to do it all right now. In fact it will be difficult to do much of anything after some auto repairs that were much more then I expected. If anyone has any of the items described or something similar that you can sell at a reasonable rate or would consider sometype of terms on I would appreciate hearing from you. By the way I live in Northern Virginia and apparently there may be an organized group of thieves targeting golf course communities. As far as I know this is the first in my neighborhood, but another about 40 minutes away has had a rash of burglaries (20-30) in the last few weeks.
  23. What is the realistic amount of change in loft of a cast club? 1* ... 2*... 3* Any ways to limit the chance of cracking the hosel if you do decide to push the limit? Perhaps heating the metal with a torch prior to bending?
