  1. The driver I currently have in the bag is the most accurate I have ever hit. Taylor Made Tour Issue R580 with Aldila green proto 65s 9.5°
  2. Mike: I hit my 300's lower with sensicore s300 in them. It was more of a high but flat trajectory. With the TX tours it is more of a goes high then drops trajectory. I hope that is clear. 1 thing for sure is I have always been a high ball hitter...these just seem to be a little higher...may bend them to get it down. I am also thinking of experimenting with graphite in the z101 because of the hands. I may just quit for 2 months. I am getting the 7 iron done tomorrow. Not sure which shaft...will let you guys know how it goes.

My Tx tours feel just like the s300 I had in my 300's. ..just lighter. I was hoping I might hit them lower than the s300 sensicore but I hit them just as high if not just a shade higher. Good feeling shaft though.
  4. I really do not think I am going to shell out that much for a club I do not use that often. I love my 580 so I think I will stick with it for a while. I think the posting just lulls a little right now because it is summer and people are out in the fresh air enjoying things...as it should be. I like the shafts but I am going to reshaft the 7 iron with graphite and see how i like it. Just looking to take some shock away and I was hitting the Z101 with the TX Tour shaft quite high. I might have to strengthen the lofts but I am no playing enough to justify it. Maybe when the body is healed...hopefully soon.
  5. Mike congrats on the chip in. Feels great doesn't it. Pete...I 100% understand how you feel. I have felt that for a while at my job and am looking to starting my own business...franchising off of my father in law. Just do not feel the appreciation in financial ways and other frustrating day to day happenings. I went to the range and the hands have been feeling a bit better but it seems that the contact with the ground causes the top of my hads to hurt...more of a burning pain. This sucks. So the game is in bad shape. Oh well enough of my pity party...I hope you guys are having a great week and glad to see you back Pete.
  6. I quit dipping copenhagen and went from 180 (size 33/34 waist) to 195 (size 36) and I can't get rid of it. I guess I need to get my lazy ass out there to work out. I was going to start this summer but the hand/arm problems have kept me from doing it. Hopefully here soon I will start.
  7. I say leave it open...I would love to see if Max has the balls to respond.
  8. I read this right after it was posted but I thought I would wait b/4 I posted in the topic. I was hopoing for the best but at the same time thought here's Max. Notice the lack of a response. Typical Max m.o. I wish we could just ban his IP and be done with it.

  11. It was great...it was one of those moments when you feel you are going to make the shot. This was the first shot hit with the wedge during a round of golf. I mean I had been to the range with it once but this was he first trial by fire. It came out of the lie perfectly high and soft. Did not check due to the lie and the slope of the green rolled about 12 feet and into the bottom of the hole for an eagle. I haven't done it in a while...I mean chipping in because my short game has been so bad. Like I said when i first hit the wedge at the range...it felt like a long lost old friend had come back into my life when i hit this wedge. If you can't already tell...I am satisfied with my purchase.
  12. In case you guys don't check out my newest post in my wedge review I will let you know what it is. Today was the maiden round for the Scratch wedge. On the second hold...470 par five...I was over the green in two and needed to hit a nice high soft shot to get it close. Pulled the new wedge out and chipped it in for eagle. What a great way to introduce yourself to the bag. The wedge is great!!!
  13. Their website wilsonsports.com shows hints of the new Wilson Staff line. They are trying to revive that name with some preemium line equipment.
  14. Isn't that just a tip calculator
  15. It seems like this thread has been dead for a while so I thought I would add one. This is Pampita.
  16. Glad to have you back Mike
  17. review of my wedge and pics are here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/magazine/modul...c&p=50038#50038
  18. As you all know Shoe and I have been patiently awaiting our Scratch wedges. I since May 1 and Shoe since May 11. Well as i was sitting here typing Shoe a pm the doorbell rings and the mail lady delivers. My wedge is beautiful. I have never had a satin finished iron and now that I have it in my wedge I know I will have satin again. The grind was not one of the standard grinds but I sent them a wedge head that I had a lot of success with and they replicated it with some tweaks. It came out great. I ordered this b/4 I had tried gripmaster grips so it came with the tour velvet so i will have to slap the extra gripmaster on it. I will post a full review later after i get the chance to use it. Shoe yours must not be too far behind mine. I will get some pics up too.
  19. Talked to Ari and he stated that my wedge actually shipped this Monday by way of USPS priority mail. That means it should be here tomorrow.
  20. Shoe: no wedge yet. The anticipation is killing me. Since they were coming from Oregon I should be getting them any day. Well the driving is not over yet. I have about 450 more miles to go tomorrow. I have easily done 3000 miles this month after this trip. Hell I don't want to see a car...but my father needs a favor so I will do this and then no more trips for a little while. I almost spit water all over the screen when i read fanny fatigue...thats some good stuff
  21. Shoe: no wedge yet...hoping for Monday...I might ask Ari how he shipped it. Let me say it is great to be home and off the road. After 2500 miles over the last 10 days my bed has never looked so good. The course i played twice in Sarasote Florida was shart and tight. I honestly after the first round dropped the driver and 3 wood and hit three iron off of all par four and par five holes. I am now in love with my Z101 3 iron and the gripmaster grips are great. I can't wait to play my home course where I can hit driver and not have an overwhelming feeling of claustrophobia. Hope all you guys are doing great. Alan
  22. Well I am in sunny HOT Florida by way of New Orleans for the rest of the week. I must say everyone needs to go to New Orleans at least once in their life. What a bunch of freaks. Talked to Ari yesterday and he said my wedge ships today so it will be in Tennessee when I return. Mike I hope you are feeling better. All for now as I feel I have been demoted to the stone age. I HATE DIAL UP!!!!!
  23. Thanks ShoE. Guys I am outta here for the next 11 days. I doubt I will be online at all. No computer access for me in new Orleans and the computer in Sarasota is dial up...YUCK. I hope everyone has a good week and I will get back to you all upon arrival back here in East TN.
  24. Guys have you noticed our little group discussion (therapy) has gone back to 105 pages. Anyway thank god for anti inflamatory drugs. I went to an orthopedic doc and he ruled out carpal tunnel and I have ben on the anti inflam for about 5 days and what an improvement. I got to play golf today again with the new sticks and grips. I ended up shooting 78 with an eagle. I was not trying to shing hard and I was in control...usually not something I say when referring to my game. I love the z101s but I am fading the long irons some. I think this is due to the fact that they have less offset than the 300 long irons. I am going to be leaving Wed. for 11 days so I probably wont be doing much posting and maybe some of you can catch up in the fantasy golf league :-)

Just put some Gripmaster round perforated grips on my new z101. Use plenty of grip solvent on these puppies. I ma not a fan of the spray I like to pour the solvent in and shake it then put the grip on. These feel great...will have to report back after the round.
