  1. Chris, after seeing those pics it makes the anticipation for my set that much better.
  2. I have never used any of them, but it seems that you would not do as well with the gauge cb's, since they have a very low bounce which usually isn't good for taking divots.
  3. If it works why not?
  4. How do the project x compare to the s300? I was thinking of the 1050, but I want to keep the weight of the s300 just a bit smoother.
  5. How are driving irons off the tee and versatility?
  6. I am trying to decide between the 2. I wanted to know if anyone can post the pro's, and con's of both. Also has anyone tried the new mizuno mp-ux1 or compared it to the TM?
  7. I am currently using the DG S300, but I am looking for something a little smoother but with the same weight?

It is not so high priced as you think. Right now it seems that everything in Japan is high priced because of the value of the yen to the dollar. A few years ago when the exchange rate was about 1:140 as opposed to 1:110 now things weren't as expensive.
  9. That is great news, as I am thinking of getting a new set for the next season. I was thinking of going gauge, but now I am going to wait for the maru stuff. Do you have any idea when they will be coming out? :money:
  10. Would you consider going with steel? I personally prefer the flight , and I love the feel I used to use the S300, but I am switching to nippon 1050, because of the lighter weight.
  11. I think this site is great, the reviews are pretty much unbiased. First I think it might have to do with the fact that like AK said people aren't buying yet. Also give time until companies like TS release thier new product line. Yes this site is not geared to the 14 yr. old, but most 14 yr olds don't have such an extensive knowledge on golf. Chris does a great job here, when he thinks a club is not up to par for it's price he says so even though he is selling it. Also the sd and cb section is very helpful. The bst section is very good you can find some quality stuff from at good prices and there is no posting or membership fee. I have bought some clubs here from the catalog which I love, and would not have even heard of w/o this site. While this site is mainly geared to the import which is expensive, but there is also the domestic section. While you can't expect a perfect site with totally unbiased reviews, plentiful posts.... there will always be a couple of biased reviews, this site comes pretty darn close. Great job Chris!
  12. Chris, will the g-field irons be the same quality as gd japan? Also do they have a site?
  13. That jat putter looks super sweet I might have to take a crack at it  . I do believe you are right Chris, I have a set of scratch cb's on order, I know I would benefit from extra offset, and thicker topline, but I pretty much knew what I wanted, and got to customize, which is a hue cool factor because I could have gotten a different set with pretty much the same specs. For me a heavier shaft with a stiff flex works perfect for me, I have tried graphite in my woods it just doesn't have the same crisp feeling and I need the added weight. When it comes to open faced clubs or clubs with too much offset or topline I think people don't know what they are talking about. I hear people say how the gd cb's or miz. mp-27 have too much offset... come on those seem pretty good to me. I personally will probably go with something with a bit more offset and topline, though I can't speak for others. When you say proto cb's are those the ones out already or new ones coming out?
  14. What is the difference in bounce between the 2? Also which one would be better for someone whose mis**ts are thin or fat?
  15. They are having problems with the strap, I have one on order since april. :D
  16. That is a super bag, but your going to have to wait for the ogio they just pushed off the release date again.

Happy b-day, did you at least get in a round.
  18. I can't wait for mine they look awesome. I am having mine with the nippon 1050 I'm curious how is the accuracy with graphite in fw?
  19. If you decide to put the bst in the scrolling, there will have to be restriction on bumps. I can't wait for all the new changes

From what I hear nippon will give you the best feel and if you want some added weight I would go with the 1050. Personally I use DG wedge flex and I think they feel terrible so I am considering the nippon.
  21. I don't think pm sent is a bump after all it's not the seller. I don't think the no bump rule is so good because like zojo said after one day it's on page 2. I do think something that will help is that pics must be posted I of actual item i bought something on ebay the guy didn't have today he emailed me that he sent it after 2 months of waiting, I don't know how to do it but, I am sure there is a way.
  22. Phil your right that transition is a basic element of tempo. But Primo I think you hit it on the head with a proper setup, grip... usually the tempo and transition become a lot easier.
  23. The usual prestige to Japan made as opposed to China, or anywhere else is that japanese tend to pay more attention to detail, which on a side note is a top reason they yen is such a strong currency. Bottom line is your killing me with this too soft business I have scratch on order, but in 2-3 months I might have to be a ho and get another set another set of irons/wedges. I might wear them out by then. :money:
  24. Chris, when you say that 1018 is so soft it doesn't last half a season it seems on the pga that is a great lifetime since I think I read Phil goes through like 4 set's. Also for the average golfer should I be concerned with the durability since I have a set on order. By who exactly are the irons forged and how does the forging compare to miura or miz. japan.
  25. MOZ I belive is forged by Ishihara who I think also does the forgings for scratch plus with scratch you get to customize.
