What is your all time favorite ping Anser putter model?
My favorite is definitely the Ping AnserF WRX as used by Chris Dimarco. It looks beautiful and feels great. I have tried the Anser JAS, but prefer the AnserF WRX.

Question on Callaway Great Big Bertha II Japanese Version
My brother recently bought a Callaway Great Big Bertha II driver. It is not a regular one because I see the alpha sign on its sole and the painfill of the GBB II and the alpha is gold. The shaft is JV50 made by Graphite Design. Can anybody tell me the differences of this gold alpha version? :surprize: Many thanks in advance.

How do you care for your irons?
I use a small brush + water mixed with dishwashing liquid + wet cloth + dry cloth. After cleaning, I air-dry every club at least overnight. Since I do the cleaning after every round, I can spot quickly if any club start to rust - even a mere tiny spot. To get rid of rust, I spray WD40 upon it and rub it off with a piece of dry cloth or a cotton bud. This works very well for me.

Went to Nike Demo yesterday.
Tigernu, I believe it was officially released on that Demo day actually. I'm not sure about the price because I was busy trying all the equipment available, but expect something well over 20,000 THB (that means more than 500 USD for you folks out there). I haven't tried the original Ignite just yet, but was told that it was not so user friendly and not suitable for hicappers. So, I don't think I can really give you a good comparison on that. Have fun.

Went to Nike Demo yesterday.
Yes, it is. Perhaps not the latest to many - especially in the Japanese market. But it was launched here in Bangkok three or four months ago. So still quite new to me.

Went to Nike Demo yesterday.
I went to Nike Demo day yesterday and tried several of their latest products. Here is what I can share briefly with you guys. 1. The Nike Ignite Driver DFI is really hot and very easy to hit. It has composite crown and is shafted with Ignite Mitsubishi Diamana. I tried the 460cc head and liked it very much. The impact sound is loud and clear which is very different from most composite-top drivers which has dull impact sound. It actually sounds very close to an all-titanium driver. The clubface is very large and deep. A Nike sale rep told me that its COR at sweetspot was 0.89 and 0.86 average all over the face. I doubt that though. 2. The T-100 Utility shafted with stock Nike by Fujikura is also a very sweet club, producing a very high trajectory - higher than most utilities I had tried. I guess that fits hicappers well and makes it a wise choice for getting out of the rough and holding the green. However, you might want to opt out of it under windy conditions. 3. The Pro Combo 2 OS irons are good and quite easy to hit. Though they look pretty handsome and are made from premium forged steel, I have found them to be just so-so in the feel category and less user-friendly than normal callaway irons. 4. The Nike SV wedges are just so-so too. IMO, you'd be better off with Vokey and Cleveland. 5. The Ignite T-60 fairway wood is also a great improvement from their previous T-40 line. Bigger club face, more sole weighted. Feel and sound have been greatly improved. Have fun.

Nike's T100 Does anyone know why it never reached the U.S?
In Bangkok, it goes for 170 - 180 bucks apiece brand new. For some reasons, Nike golf clubs don't do very well here despite their absurdly popular apparel lines. Since the pro-combo utility has come out and will likely hit the Thai market soon, I'm sure the T-100 will be offered with discounted price shortly. And that's when I will perhaps get myself one. Having said that, I once saw the T-100 head only on sale at a small dubious golf shop. By dubious, I mean this shop seems to sell lots of fake stuff and knock-offs from China. It cost about 70 or 80 bucks. But that was not something new to me. There are many local golf shops that sell this sort of stuff which I think is illegally imported from China. And since Nike clubs are all made in China, this should not come as a surprise at all. And maybe this is why Nike clubs don't do very well here despite its quality.

Nike's T100 Does anyone know why it never reached the U.S?
Quite easy to find here in Bangkok too. Just bought a Nike NDS three woods and like the feel of it very much. Easy to hit and set up very nicely - yet not very impressive distance-wise. Never knew that the T100 was a highly recommended club. Gotta look for one now. Maybe better wait until it is on discount. Just heard that the T40 was on sale at less than 50 bucks brandnew at a local sport chainstore.

What's the virtue of putters with adjusable weight plug?
Thank you guys. Oh, yes, I have never thought of the manufacturing's side and the modification thing before. That's probably because I don't like all the bending and tweaking or the lead tape on my clubs - especially my putter. So, the way I choose my putter is to go and try it in all original spec.. If I like it, I buy it. If I don't like it, I try another one or stick with my old one.

What's the virtue of putters with adjusable weight plug?
I mean, I know that the green speed varies from course to course. That's why it's a good practice to arrive at the course early and familiarize with the green speed at the practice green - or during the practice round. IMO, the adjustable weighting in drivers seems justified because it directly affects the pattern of ball flight and trajectory as TaylorMade has claimed in their R7 driver. However, when it comes to putting, I always believe that one should feel comfortable with the weight of his/her own putter first and foremost and then adjust the putting stroke in accordance with the speed of the greens they play in each round. All of us, or so I think, wants the ball to roll quickly off the putter face and along our aiming line. Therefore, adjustable weighting does not seem to make much sense to me. You like either a light or heavy putter - not one day light the others heavy. So, even if you have a putter with an adjustable weighting system, it is likely that you will stick to the weight plug that you feel most comfortable with and not change it every other day. Your ideas, please.

tksputters.com.....Opinions, please.
I also agree with what has been said above. I once e-mailed Todd to ask about a Bettinardi putter. My mail was replied to in A FEW MINUTES' time. I really couldn't believe it. Maybe I was lucky that day. But considering that Scotty Cameron and Kevin Burns never reply to my e-mails, you sure get the picture how much attention Todd gives to his customers.
