TOUR HEAD Royal Collection BBD SS-PRO fairway wood
Hi Guys, I just got a phone call that I will have access to all this heads in 13*, 15*, 16*, and 19* ( limited on 13* and 15* ). Square head! And I also have access on the super SS series. A little shallower head than the PRO and 1* close. Available on 13.5*, 14.5*, 15.5*. I need to know how much interest you guys have. Because, If i see quite a lot...I might be able to get a quantity discount + above 50 heads will come w/ head cover. To name a few, John daly play this club when he won in Singapore last year ( now he sign up w/ TM for driver and FW ). Current user : Spike mc Roy, JL Lewis, Brant Jobe and on and on. The Ugly part :) At this moment the price of head is around $200-$250 ball park depending how much i order in one shot. Again head only on this. Try to ask your friends and family so we can a better price than what i have above already. I can most likely give a discount if any of you decided to put a shaft on it from me. Call me on this! Again this is the Royal Collection series! You know how expensive this head in Japan can be. Thank you very much! Edit Note: Please check my 7th post for a confirm price on this head. NV + 983 = bad news?????
With the current shaft I tend to hit it too high, with a little sloppy swing resulting in a balloon. I would like to bring the shot down a little and keep ballooning to a minimum. Over all I don't feel this stock shaft working for me at all, it just feels dead and uinresponsive. I also want to go with something heavier to help me drop it into the slot. SS:100-110 Only base on what you got above, IMO you need to go to 85 grams to see the different. Now the flex for a 100-110mph should be around SX +/-. Base on BR61 said above you can go +/- on tipping. For example, you can insert an X only 1 1/2 " or go w/ an S with 2 1/2" -3". Remember that tipping an S flex will create a "slightly" higher kick point and tighter torque. Now depending on the kick point different on S and X flex, you determine which flex to pick to achieve your desire final spec. Good luck! Joe PS:IMO on titleist head, inserting more than 2" is the same thing of tipping a shaft.

Br 61 is pretty much on the money. But I must ask you first " What are you trying to achieve on this driver to fit your swing? " And some detail about your swing and play will help also. Then we can give you a better recomendation. So many way of putting the shaft w/ diffent result on this head, not knowing what you are trying to do...all recomendation are useless. Joe

Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
The reason is that someone here in this forum members was rip off by someone buying a new satin finish X Blade and have them blue printed also ( not by me ). Turn out to be that the club was refinish and sold as brand new plus added BS behind it. Off course he didn't bought it from this forum. And if tell you the price he bought them for, etc, you 'll flip! I'm not going to say who, i will let him come out and say it himself on what is going on. Cheer! Joe

Joe: Go back a couple of pages and look at my posts. I posted the photo in this thread. MCSub sent the photo to me to post. Jim Jim, I saw that picture and that picture was the reason i post a reply on this but obviously mc sub being a little to touchy. If you look at my first reply, did I said anything bad or good about it or degrading? Not that i know of, I was just sharing my experiences. I will post on a different thread if you want to hear the whole story again about why they've used copper underlay back then. joe

I had set of those last year... pretty nice sticks! Great feel, but i like my Miura 1005s more than those miuras. You can find that model on ebay but they are few and far between. I've build 50-70 sets of this Miura heads and I've build quite a few of the 1005. I must say that i agree w/ you 200%. :) Joe- Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
Sub, I never said that i believe you or I don't believe you, i never said wether it's good or bad + I've never work on your Z101. So I have no way to verify them at this point. I'm here just telling every one what i know, not what i don't know...so people wouldn't get rip off easily. I'm not dead yet, so i will find more discovery in my life that i know nothing as of now. Like i told you before, if it is... good for you! Me my self if you look at my signature, i'm playing w/ the unstamped TN 87 which well known for copper underlay in it. But if I tell you why they put copper and how they found out it's softer feel and not being durable enough because of the copper, You'ld probably think 5 times to say that i'm being incredulous. I don't think I understand that i'm being incredulous, because i have nothing againts all this wether it's copper or not. I think you are just being to sensitive. Now if you look at your first reply to me, I think you are being sinistical, however I'm not to sensitve about it. Again, Good for you if yours has a copper underlay on it and if you think that copper underlay is better than others. Good luck w/ your Z101! Joe- Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
Ray Floyd edition. joe- Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
Hey Joey... any chance this makes the .1% you speak of? This is my 4 iron and it sure looks like copper to me. From the picture, by the toe...it shows a brush/satin finish. Are you sure that this is a factory finish not "refinish" heads? I haven't seen a satin finish 101 yet. Plus the bead blast finish does not look the original factory bead blast to me.look ! I'm not trying to say that yours is not. I don't have enough experiences w/ 101 yet. If it does, good for you. The next work on 101..i will make sure that i will double check and scrap the corner of the inner part of the hosel to see the copper underlay. When, where and who did you bought them from? Did you bought it new or used? Bridgestone original satin finish is totally different than Iron factory satin finish, we all know this very well! Joe ps: attached picture is a satin finish most Japanese oem have. Brush before it's plated. So it will still show some glow compare to iron factory or Nomad (?) or golf works brushed after plating, so it won't show the glow anymore.- Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
I almost never saw any new forged club that i worked on have a copper underlay anymore. I can see it when i clean up the gunk in the hosel w/ my steel brush if there is copper ( like TN 87 ). The yellowish color is most likely a nickel or watt nickel under the chrome, not copper. Copper is more redish color compare to nickel. I can almost guaranty you guy that 99.9% has no copper unless there are one out the refinish or special order but I doubt it. Who ever said first, for sure that is only a bad hype to stir the crowd a certain way. Hope this clear some of the air! just my 2 cent! Joe - Need advice on Purchase of Tourstage Z101's
