  1. It was certainly not a soft draw nor a nasty hook but somewhere in between I guess. My normal shot pattern is a very slight right to left. It is a high quality shaft just not for me and don't view it as an expensive lesson as a poster above stated. Buying, trying, selling is my hobby.
  2. Too much left for me and I was swinging at my normal pace. I took it off TSG and stuck it on Ebay per your info regarding the warranty and tipping info plus you are offering a great service and don't want to detract/confuse from that either. The tipping has me a bit perplexed as the raw length was only 46 inches so not sure how much tipping could/would you want to do. Matrix recommends tipping as well and never had any issues with their products nor do I feel there was any with the Roddio. Then again I am no expert.
  3. I played 9 holes(multiple tee shots on each hole) this am. The strong or swing plane CPM'd at 257 and the droop or neutral plane CPM'd at 253 which where most of the shafts I have played cycle out. Tipping may have been a way to go but I always start untipped with a new shaft. As I mentioned in my post yesterday I would advise anyone to send your head into TSG. Based on all the data and the testing my clubmaker did before the install it was put in correctly tipping aside. The data on the shaft claims to take the high right or block out of play and they delivered. I wasn't hitting nasty hooks by any means but was on the left side of the fairway with the 30 or so drivers I hit.
  4. Chris--No, he did not "pure" it. The head weight was 202g. He has some very sophisticated equipment and I have no idea what it is called but he told me what he was looking for in terms of the nuetral and strong plane. I tried to attach the graph he used but could not get it to load.
  5. The company gave me the choice of regular or what they referred to as 'special" for no upcharge so I went for it. Was really hoping for white but not an option for the W-6BA.
  6. Not until tomorrow and maybe not even then. It is brutal here in the midwest...30's with 20-35mph gusts.
  7. I went to have a W-6BA S-flex installed this morning and figured i would be in/out in 20 minutes to pull the head and install the shaft. If you meet the TSG criteria(I didn't) I would strongly recommend you send it to TSG. Also, if you think you will be able to install with your color preference on top think again. My PCS Class A clubmaker is very knowledgeable and thorough thankfully. My intention was to just install it maroon side up. I don't pretend to understand even a little of the process he conducted to find the optimum install. First, he conducted a concentricity test(roundness of the shaft) and then he checked the stiffness through out the shaft(24 different degree points). Once he had all the data he loaded into a Shaft Orientation Program and loaded the data onto a Sine graph. There he was able to locate the optimum Droop and Strong plane. Once he had that he did the install. I ended up with one color pointed towards the target at address...so at address I have half silver and half maroon. I tried to load the Sine graph Excel spreadsheet but it wouldn't load. The whole process took 90 minutes. Alot of you may understand all this but I am just very thankful my guy did.
  8. Sure will. Have access to a launch monitor but just can't swing naturally inside or off one of those plastic tees. I feel like I am swinging under a tree and have a hard time following through freely. Don't know why but just can't get comfortable.
  9. I have a W-6BA Stiff on the way to try out in my EPON 460---cleared customs in Chicago y'day morning and logged on this am and it says"misshipped'--they sent it to Gary, IN instead of Milwaukee. I have 2 shafted right now both in EPON 460 10.5's--Altus stiff and a AD Quattro 65S. The Altus is the best combo I have tried so far out of the 4--Axiv, Accra, and Code 6. Just had the Quattro shafted this afternoon so hopefully will get a chance to try it out. The Roddio and the Quattro have their work cut out for them to beat the Altus. The only club in question for this season--please hold your snicker, laughter, ridicule--is the driver. The EPON head is a lock but once I find the shaft all the extras will be in the TSG/BST. GO HOYAS!!!!
  10. Beautiful. Especially the deep red. What does Pentacross mean?
  11. I was looking at these last night in bed as my wife was waiting for me to hit play on the Tivo machine to start Idol. As the seconds turned into minutes she's like come on what are you doing, my reply was I can't take my eyes off these irons. Incredible.
  12. So, chances are slim in securing a Jersey Big Number 60* I pm'd you about a couple weeks back?
  13. I agree. I am waiting patiently for this one
  14. Edit-My original post was incorrect. They do make the original and a lower torque version of the Altus
  15. Found this site and every day you log on a cup and a half of food is donated by the site's sponsors to Second Harvest Here is the link and it takes less than 3 seconds http://www.thehungersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=1
  16. Here's a couple pics from the Zodia site of the series 07
  17. Saw recently you were a plus handy so you can tell the "better player" story walking G. Another EPON?
  18. Thanks for the info Ari and Gocchin.
  19. You may be correct but Epon has built quite a reputation on their woods where I have heard very little on the Miura Precious line so far here on TSG.
  20. You have a vivid imagination there Blader. It's not easy being a lover of golf and equipment living in this area so you do what you can to feed the disease.
  21. I was able to find a place to tee up about 30 balls or so and it is what you would expect from EPON....quality. It has a very solid feel at impact, more so than the 460 but that is to be expected in a smaller head. The loft is 10*. The ballflight is medium and is lower than my 460/Accra combo. Not ideal conditions of course as the balls would just land in the snow and disappear but a very lively club that would roll alot more than my 460. It has the stock stiff EPON shaft--59g, 4.5 torque, M/H kick. If I keep it I would go with a heavier shaft. Once I get it on the course to compare versus the 460 I will report back. I have a call out to the seller to see if it is conforming.
  22. I'd go clear away some snow today but the road into the field is blocked with an 8 ft wall of the white stuff. I was out in your neck of the woods last week. It's pretty nice
  23. Just attached a couple pics to compare vs the EPON 460. As far as it be non-conforming it's just a hunch as it says Super As Roll on the heel. Won't get to play a round for a couple weeks but should be able to take it to my "testing center" (local football field) later this week.
  24. K2--nice weather would be welcomed. Calling for warmer temps next week so hopefully it will all melt. I will keep my eyes open as drivers are the most enjoyable to test out IMO. Thanks, Rich
  25. Hi Duke...my family made it up the mountain last week. I was on the course in 70*. Up on the mountain it was 40* and raining. Both my kids got sick I guess because of the altitude and my wife's driving. Thanks alot for all your tips and hopefully we can tee it up my next trip out your way.
