  1. You will if you let Blade Golf custom grind them to you specs and dip in copper for you.
  2. I dont know if TM uses BEta or SP-700 in the retail r7(non tp) but the Director of Product Developement for the Metalwoods division of TM told me that it was beta in the r7 and Sp-700 in the R7 TP. Ill leave it at that. I do know that we pay more for Sp-700 and that it easier to make the face hotter with it.
  3. Well because it is stronger you can make the face thinner and therefore slightly hotter. BTW the price difference for an OEM is way less than $5 difference per club. I am not sure why anyone would cut corners unless they need that $2-3 for their $100 million advertisng and tour budget to get us mere mortals to play their stuff. Personally I'd prefer the better equipment and less hype. But hey we cant afford the hype so maybe I'm just jealous.
  4. Blade Golf we are considering the release of the X440 which is shaped like the very successfull x400 but 40 cc bigger. I have approx 10 new prototype heads left in various lofts and face angles from 9*-11*. TSG head only price is $225 shipped . The protos will not be reproduced or USGA approved as they will differ slightly from an planned production. I will tell you at this time that they have not been tested and may exceed COR limitations. They have a very deep 61mm face whic makes them low spin and very forgiving. [/img] After some testing I can tell you they are very long and forgiving. We accept pay pal or most major credit cards. Each head will include a Blade Headcover as well.

No such thing as a Vokey "tour" wedge. Just Kidding !!! Nice pics
  6. My understanding is they come from Japan finished.
  7. yes we offer both shafts as options. All our sets are ground to you requested picalswingweight which I believe is better than typical blueprinting after the fact using lead to balance this out.
  8. Thanks I appreciate the nice words. How are you doing?
  9. Yes the Blade TF-2 is the same exact forging as the Miura MG series MB 5002 (less offset) blade. The only difference is the logo stamp and how we cutom grind, dip in copper and finish them here in the states. We have had these since before Miura opened the lates NA operation or any of their US products.
  10. Ok I'm having so much fun I am having a Thanksgiving sale! Here goes! Starting right now until Dec, 1 2004 Any set of Blade irons is 10% off. Think of it you can buy a set of custom ground, copper dipped Miura forged blades for $989 with stock steel. The Stainless TC-2s can be custom ground to spec for an amazing $ 539 An X400 driver with a Fuji Speeder or Pro series is only $359. We hand pick the heads so you can get slightly open, square or closed heads built to your specs. Happy Thanksgiving
  11. That depends. If the regular retail viagra the is a tad softer and is not as long as the general public does not need to use it as often. The real pros on cable need the tour stuff which is harder and longer. You can get the tour stuff on VSG. But be careful because the VSGA has approved the tour version for sanctioned events. To be sure if your Viagra is safe to use in a particular event you will need to contact your local VGA pro.
  12. Dont buy this until you get the tour serial #
  13. I totally concur. With a 1* tolerance on FA, lie and loft and a 3gm weight tolerance you can get anywhere from an 8.5 1* closed and 197 gram head to a 10.5 1* open and 203 gram head within the same manufacuring run based on a requested spec of 9.5* loft , 0* FA(square) and 200 grams weight. That gives an OEM a multitiude of custom options as long as the heads are individually marked as they are especially for picking for tour and custom options. Also that is just 1 9.5* speced run. With the 7.5-10.5* runs and a requested .5 open FA(TM TP specs) and you can fit 99% of all golfers including the tour without ever having to make a custom run. Add in the ability to add weight(rat glue) change COG( where you add the glue) and the ability to bend the hosels and you have all the flexibilty you will ever need without changing any material or tooling. Also keep in mind that these will all feel a little different based on spec and customization.
  14. First off I want to extend a special thank you to the many and I mean many supporting and encouraging emails and messages we have received in the last 24 hours. Many of you gave up your right to post on BSG because you spoke out or tried to and were instantly banned. I am sorry that BSG took the actions they did especially since all I did was post a TM response which stated that the retail TP product line TM manufactures identical to what's on tour. A fact that supports and helps TM but hurts someone adding hefty premium to TM "tour" items. Anyway the silver lining is we could not be more pleased to be a new sponsor of tourspecgolf.com a truly open forum! At Blade Golf our entire product line is custom made for each customer and we pride ourselves on providing the best customer service in the industry. Please visit our website(bladegolf.com)and feel free to email me @ [email protected] if you have any questions or comments. Golf is a great sport and promotes much that is good about life; integrity, honor, discipline, fellowship and fun. We want to promote this great game as well as provide what we fill are some of the best available products to help golfers in their attempt master this wonderful game.
  15. Actually there is an implied warranty of truth that TM is telling the general public when they make such statemnts I seriously doubt they can fudge/lie/mislead when literally 1000's of buyers are taking their word for it. The liability exposure from a class action lawsuit would be in the 10's of million$ and would dwarf any motivation to keep such a secret. They would just "No comment" if you were right IMO.
  16. He might well but that is his call. I did nothing wrong.
  17. Actually it is to our advantage that golfers think the major OEM retail stuff is inferior to the tour issue. But I can't stand to sit by and watch golfers pay that kind of dough wthout knowing the truth. I was curious and skeptical so I decided to find out and report it. If the answer had been different I would have reported that as well.
  18. There have been and will slways be new and differnt models unavailable to the public. The r7 is a released product. This is about whether the r7s on tour are protos or the same as the released version.
  19. I took the libery to ask the head of TM-Adidas PR Department to answer the retail TP versus "tour" issue that we have discussed for so many months. This should end the debate hut it probably won't. Some will say that Nick has no idea what he is talking about and should be ignored. I remind you that a statement by someone in Nick's capacity is considered an offical response and would make TM-Adidas libel if not true. Ill leave it at that. Here are my emails and His response: Nick, I just read this on a popular golf forum in reference to the difference between R7 TP heads and R7 "tour" heads. "Tour R7 heads are generally, and almost always made of a higher strength and more expensive grade of titanium than your average retail heads. A retail R7 head does not generally have to withstand the pounding of thousands of balls off the face at 120+ mph. For this reason, the Tour R7 head should be MORE durable." I have also been told that the "tour" R7 has a higher COG than the R7 TP. Is there any truth to the claim that "tour" heads are made better or differently from retail heads? Thanks Richard Madison -- Dear Richard, The majority of professional golfers use the r7 quad TP which is no different from the version on offer to the public. I hope this answers your question? Kind regards, Nick Nick Robbie Public Relations Executive TaylorMade adidas Maxfli Golf I saw some wiggle room in this response so I re-asked it a more specific way. > Nick, thanks for your response. > > Would I be correct is stating that tour r7s are made in the exact same > manufacturing runs as retail TPs and do not get diifferent or > superior materials than the retail TP. That in fact there is no such > thing as a "tour" r7 model but only retail r7 TP that may have been > played on tour? > > Thanks Yes - The r7 TP that you see in store is the very same model that appears on Tour. The only difference is that we offer our Tour players a wider selection of shafts to suit their individual games.
