TM RAC Driving Iron!! The rescue mid is probably a tad better in the rough for me but the RAC Driving iron is very very easy to hit off the deck or in the rough. More workable than the rescue mid as well...has a mid-high boring trajectory and can be altered fairly easily. The rescue mid is a great club out of the rough...but off the deck I was pulling snap hooks with it. In light rough areas I think the rac driving iron can work for you.

MP32 in regular chrome is already out. I believe Chris (TSG) can get them for you already.
  3. With that kind of inconsistent shot...either coming over the top or getting under to much your probably not rotating around your spine. Make it a conscious effort to rotate around your spine and keep your body/head on the same level plane. When your body starts shifting...your head moves and that throws your mechanics out of wack.

You'll probably need 30 grams of tungsten down the shaft...and by then your COG will be all messed up and the shaft won't even play to the right kick and flex. You probably need raw heads that start somewhere in the E sw range and work from there. Maybe your fitter got G and E wrong or maybe G and D.

Also take a look at the cutmuscle MP32...Mizuno's latest offering. The pics look great in custom satin. Just another suggestion :smile2:
  6. Always thought that the star ratings meant more gold plated emblems on the driver. As far as functionality, the drivers are the same (maybe upgraded shafts like the above posts say). I could be wrong but i know the difference between a 2-3 star and a 4-5 star is alot of money. Shaft wise...just get fitted for a shaft and pick from there. You'll end up saving alot more money if you get fitted than buying the most expensive shaft and feeling like it's the best fit for her. When you buy Honma your just throwing your money at the clubs...there are plenty of other brands that can help the high handicapper/low swing speed golfer. If your in socal there are two shops in san gabriel that sell Honma. You can demo clubs there as well.
  7. Chris how much is GAF1 with the HK80 shaft?

Scratch wedges = great because of the customization and specs Zodia = solid wedge, aggressive grooves that will schred your balls :-D X-wedge or the Maru's!!!
  9. Just got my Gauge Design CB Black Teflon Coating irons. Man, are they stunning and beautiful. For those that were saying the GD irons were a little big...the black must do the trick because they look fairly sleek to me. Maybe the color is deceiving my eyes and I don't even think their that big (and I've played the MR23 Blades!!! those things are peanut-sized). Even better...they come with $80 half cord grips and the very elusive and hard to get PX 6.0. Will give a review later after the range.
  10. Got both of these awesome wedges from Chris  Must decide which one to play!
  11. By far the longest and easiest driver to hit is the r589XD tour issue. If you can't hit the fairway with this then you should'nt be playing golf. On the other hand...it does look like the titanic and doesnt have the greatest sound at impact. On a side note, the r7TP is a great driver that is pleasing to the eye...not a magic box but a great driver.
  12. What exactly does the schlong :smile2: I mean schling do?
  13. How's it compare to the GD fairway wood and the FHT?

Sand it off...get a paint repair kit. Depending on the color of your driver (ie black lava, grey etc) you should be able to get it color matched fairly close. As a last resort just get your head redone.
  15. Purely looks...the R7 Stand bag is stunning. It also helps if you have an r7 driver...adds to the cool factor. Ogio bags have always been good to me as well.
  16. For the every day hack, they wouldn't know how to add lead tape if their life depended on it. The point of the r5 is so that your joe schmo golfer can say...i want to hit a draw or fade like tiger without manipulting my swing. It's also a high spin driver...plus the weight ports in the back promote higher launch angles. As owner's of r7's we may feel this is a step back in TM's progression but TM is simply covering all types of golfers. TM is in the business to make money and their products, sales, and R&D prove that they are the best.
  17. 84 grams, 3.0 torque, high kick, tip stiff. Tour only shaft.
  18. Dual means only 2 weightports. Just like the r7 quad has 4 weightports. This will probably lead to an R5XD but I can understand where TM is going with the r5 dual. It will appeal more to the masses with the pricepoint and the higher spin driver. R7 is only suitable for players that desire low spin. R5 will probably be easier to get the ball up and for those that don't want to tinker with weights. For those that are happy with the r7...there really is no point to go with an r5 other than a smaller looking head (if that's a pet peeve of yours).
  19. 14-8-2-4 to get a low draw. Swingweights at about D5.5 so I like my drivers nice and heavy. Needed the heavy weight up front because I hit the ball too high with the 9.5 Want to switch to an 8.5 or maybe a new shaft cuz I hit the 9.5 just a tad too high. That's the great thing about the r7...you can essentially control the ballflight without changing to a new driver.

Did I see that right G4 SW?
  21. Talk to Joe Kwok...he's a sponser on this board and he can get the GD shafts. Chris (Tourspecgolfer) can also get you the I-65 as well.
  22. Correct...nonadjustable. So if you buy the N or D version it will be set in as the weights do not have the hex where you can insert the screw. I on the other hand think the R5 is another gimmick for TM to make millions of dollars. Other than the fact that the head size might be smaller...I don't see the point in a shallower face, non-adjustable r7 other than the $100-200 price difference. Well all I know is that TM makes badass drivers so either way you can't go wrong.
  23. Can't wait to get mine  Then I'll have an all black finish set of clubs
  24. The poor man's r7 :smile2: Wonder what the pricepoint for these things are? Adjustable fairway woods should be awesome though. I don't see what TM is doing with the R5 when they have the r7 already. I guess it's to appeal to those that don't want to tinker with weights...it will all depend on the pricepoint.
  25. The black is a great ball with a little cheaper price point than the PROV1. For me, not as long as the HX off the tee but alot more predictable with irons and short game. Durability is much better than the HX and the prov1. It is definetly in the bag for now...especially at $33 bucks a box.
