  1. They are not that pretty compared with the TB1000 and HI969. I guess you got the concept right about HI-660 for long irons since HI-660 is hollow like Fli-Hi so more forgiving. However, you can also consider other driving irons from PRGR or Royal Collection/Sonartec or maybe utility/7wd to fill in the gap. Stick with your Mp27 dream.
  2. someone needs to buy a set and confirm it...
  3. well, in Asia, we don't have FREE minutes on weekends and weekdays after 9pm. However, in Taiwan, it is free to receive calls while the caller/dialer pays dearly. Newer plans have emerged where cheaper or free to call each other within the same mobile company. I am guessing 2 hours straight talking... 3 hours if use corded ear phone... 1 hour if you use the speakerphone or bluetooth earphone option... 3-4 days standby... Anyways, taking a business trip to the states and will give review on this phone after I'm back from states. For a trendy single guy, this phone would spark many sensual conversations with shallow but beautiful gals.
  4. pm-ed... please check others... need a lighter weight shaft for driver...

  6. my friend at nokia told me you turn the dial to input the numbers. you can also pre-program the phone for voice activiation to dial the numbers. the next question is, "good for guys?"
  7. "The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken." Maybe the seller have to use it for himself. EErrr... I wouldn't want to buy 2nd hand...
  8. I wear daily disposables when I play golf. Throw them away after the 19th hole.
  9. I guess we will find out the answer pretty soon on "how to make a phone call with that damn lipstick." The phone is scheduled to launch in Dec 2004.
  10. It is about Cdn 800 per eye here in Taiwan. I think even people with 20/20 vision have trouble driving at night. I believe LASIK corrects nearsightedness (myopia), but not astigmatism. Therefore, wearing those driving glasses at night should help significantly. I have been putting it off for 3 years. Seen many people got them done but still haven't done so myself.
  11. http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0%2C%2C62356%2C00.html How exactly do you make a call with this... stick?? :-D :-D :-D
  12. Anyone here want to share their experience on LASIK eye surgery? Someone here must have gotten them done.
  13. Whenever you live in a socialist or republic of ... country, tax is usually required. For example, Canada, UK, Taiwan, etc. Almost like communist customs.
  14. The problem with that seller is that he doesn't take paypal. Bank wire or money order to Japan just takes too much time. Almost a 2.5-3 week process.
  15. pm-ed... check PM for shipping and custom info...
  16. @24000-27000 range, I think Volvo S40 is a good for the money. My pick would be between the Acura TSX and Volvo S40. I would probably take the Acura TSX if the range is 27000 since TSX comes with standard Xenon, better stereo system, standard leather, 17" rims, and some extras. S40 T5 Turbo AWD is pretty nice too but that adds up to about 30k+, in which I would probably settle for the more powerful and better quality Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The best value car out there in my opinion is the Mazda RX-8. Can be purchased at Invoice. $27000-28000 including NAV. Seats 4 adults and the truck is large enough for 2 bodies... I meant golf bags.
  17. This is the non-rush hour load. That Red car deserves a US100 fine for being in the "scooter box." Is driving in Taiwan fun? The answer is NO... but I find everyone is more careful and defensive compared to drivers in the US.
  18. Some of you might know who's stomach this is, but let's keep politics and names out of this. Please don't start a poltical debate on this forum. There are other forums for that kind of stuff. This picture was displayed because it is the most interesting bullet wound I have ever encountered in the short 30 years I have been breathing. The doctor described it as "11-centimetre gash across the front of the stomach." This person carried this injury without notice and attention for quite a while, and then walked into the hosptial without signs of pain on his face. Questions for TSG viewers are: 1. How long would it take you to notice that you have a 11 cm or 5 inch gash across your stomach? 2. How would you react once you notice that gash? 3. Which action would you take afterwards? [ a. track that SOB down and peel his skin with dull knife ; b. forgive and forget. It's just another small event that occurs in life.]
  19. Well, US dollar is at an all time low since "9/11". 3 years ago, I remembered US$ 1 = Cdn $1.67. NOW = Cdn$1.2ish. 40% difference. US$ 1 = Yen 135. NOW = Yen 105. 28% difference US$ 1 = Twn 35. NOW = Twn 32.9 (against lousy Twn economy). 6.5% difference. If I have only started school this year, the difference between the conversion I made in 2001 is like a Benz SLK240  + Well, don't want to discuss my personal belief of why it is like this.
  20. well, considering the premiums we pay in automobiles (in Asian countries), there better be some neat stuff to compensate. Only bigger cars like Camry, Teana, and some SUVs and minivans have rear-vision function. The older cars have rear-radar systems. Anyway, when backing up, your NAV screen shows 2 meters of the rear. At night, it is still very clear. It is quite useful in Asia as we don't enjoy big parking lots with big parking spaces like the US and Canada. Furthermore, Taiwan has more damn scooters on the road than any country. It's like Key West spring break every day. Speaking of different standard features between NA and Asian version cars, the Toyota Corolla Altis Taiwan version has a mini-computer like the BMW 3 series that tells fuel economy and km left in the tank. Also have wood trim and NAV.
