Roddio Shafts: Do they have a tip insert in them?
I was shafting up a Roddio yesterday and looked at the tip(it was a one time pull) and the tip was plugged...so I was trying to pop breather hole for shafting...and it came lose and I shook it out the top of the shaft...anyway it was about 5" long..seemed like a vibrational thingy just looking at it- but not being able to replace it, I just removed it and continued shafting....oops??

Looking for the Lowest spinning/Lowest launching JDM shaft- which is it??
Thank you- I will try out the roddio and report back, I think that will give some basis for other shafts, correct? I have never heard of the p9003, is that the brand?

Looking for the Lowest spinning/Lowest launching JDM shaft- which is it??
Hmm...every Ozik i've tried in the past hit it too high, but I'm open to suggestions- what flex would you suggest in a ft-5(202g)??? I would be excited to hit such a light shaft with low spin and low flight!! thanks josh
-
Looking for the Lowest spinning/Lowest launching JDM shaft- which is it??
Ok, just installed the W8-WA in a ft-5 8.5....but its untipped(as the ft-5 effectively tips any shaft by 1/2")... so I'll check it out and report back! Thanks Josh
-

Thanks Gocchin... generally X flex(165 bs, 11.5 LA, 2210 spin-/ft-5/vtlt stiff tipped 1") cheers Josh

I must be seeing things- but it looks like one big decal in the cavity to me!?? I have played the r7 forged- amazing, but a bit too soft for my tastes....but a decal...come now TM!

F7M2/F8M2/2007 Proto and F7M2 LTD
these aren't tour only...simply off the shelf products...and as far the differences between them are slight(with exception of the F8m2, which is heavier) and for me none of these work as stated(low launch, low spin).....

Axiv vs. Axiv-V Flex Comparison
you kinda have it backwords... the 1st two numbers are the weight of the shaft and the second two numbers are the cpm(relative stiffness)---i.e: 7068= 70 grams shaft and 6.8cpm.... for reference I play 7072 V series in a ft-5 fit (ss=110-115)as good as any shaft I have ever played...does it take the left side out of play as claimed? for the most part, of course there are exceptional days - but those are operator error. I would whole heartedly recomend the V series of the std. its just such a great shaft for me- I would say much firmer through out without feeling boardy- its pretty silky smooth(kinda the way you thought the diamana would have felt before you actually tried one--- but this is the BEST Diamana you have every played in my boook- if that makes sense.. hopefully others will pipe in..) If you need a higher ballflight and more carry- go with the std axiv, if you need a more penatrating ballflight which will max. out carry and roll go with the V series. And always play the Softest shaft you can control!

Axiv V...VS....Roddio
BB, well said, its funny when I tell my non Japanese equipt friends about the Axiv..I just get the "aahuh's"..and they go off buy another Ozik trying to figure out why they can't get the ball out of the clouds. Of course this fact is all to well known around here how good the Axiv are... but you may be right about spliting hairs in regards of just personally fit to swings...I still may have to try roddio for myself! Btw- did you tip the 7076 in the SQ to match the feel in the FT5? I also tried a 7072 in a 425tp and needed to tip it about 3/4" to get the same results... Josh

Axiv V...VS....Roddio
please post back when you get some time on the shaft, thanks
-
Axiv V...VS....Roddio
Ok, I will consider sending out to get shafted, but I need more feedback before a commit to that.. so please roddio guys post away.

Axiv V...VS....Roddio
So sending my driver into TSG is the Only way to buy this shaft???? I hope not, as that will kill the deal for me...I'm sure TSG are great fitters but I do all my own work...anyone have a w7-wa X flex pull @ 45.5"(I play my ft-5 at 46").

Axiv V...VS....Roddio
Its a Stiff that plays much stiffer in the FT-5 due the bore depth, am about 110+ and could of gone with the 7072 or 7076 easily, but the 7072 can take everything I got and still get very controled shots, but I just as well swing smoothly(for me) and kill it...ballfight is mid and piercing with a 39* decending angle I get max carry and Roll- simply amazing!......but is there anymore yards with Roddio's or just a lighter wallet????
