  1. Thanks moogolfer, I thought they seemed a tad softer than the S300. I think I'll wait and play a few rounds before making any further decision to switch shafts. As I mentioned, the new irons and stiff Z-Z65 shaft seem to be doing the trick at the moment.
  2. I've only just switched to a set of S59 Blade Irons with stiff steel Z-Z65 shafts in the last couple of weeks, having played Titleist 690 CB's with S300 shafts before. Can anyone tell me how stiff the stock steel shafts in the S59's play? They seem to fit my swing pretty well - medium trajectory with a slight draw. Whatever the case, I'm happy with the change I made with my irons. Thanks for any assistance. PutterPing

Just going by what Chris said in his post about soft stepping his fw and R7 driver. Anyone like to chime in? Thanks for your input FAQ, much appreciated.

Thanks FAQ for the info on the irons, what length shaft then would Chris have put in his driver to soft step? From what you've said, if you put the 2 iron shaft in the 3 iron, then you'd put your driver shaft in your 3-wood, and what then with the driver? If you hard stepped once, I guess you'd just put the 3-wood shaft in the driver, right?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what Soft Step means in regard to steel shafts? Is it a type of shaft or just a method of trimming the shaft in a particular way? I saw the term mentioned in one of TourSpecGolfer's posts that I've copied and inserted below. Thanks for any assistance, I was just asking out of interest as I've never heard of the term before. :smile1: Yes, One of my drivers has a Soft Step X100 in a R7 head and I get great results when I really commit and go after the shot. I have lost about 10-15yds which is a lot but accuracy has gone up big time for me. I'm hitting most of the fairways now and shooting lower scores. I have had the same success with the soft step X100 in my FW's also.
  7. These remind me of the Srixon I-302 and I-404, but the Moz seem to have a cleaner look. Very nice!
